00:00This is Patrick with New Jersey's Outdoor Adventures YouTube channel here at Overland East in Virginia.
00:05We just bumped into Anton and Patrick, and they're with Rugged Luxury Motors.
00:09They're all the way out from California showcasing this awesome Class C motorhome,
00:13and I guarantee you've never seen anything like this before.
00:16The outside is rugged, and the interior is luxury, and wait till you see inside.
00:20They're both going to give us a tour inside and out, so join us.
00:24I'm Patrick with Rugged Luxury Motors. I'm the lead fabricator.
00:28This is Anton next to me.
00:29How's it going? Nice to meet you.
00:31I'm going to take you around the outside, and he's going to bring you inside and show you around.
00:36For starters, we used coilover front end for this.
00:40We went with Stryker's lift kit.
00:42We have a full four-link front suspension, dual steering stabilizers with external reservoirs,
00:47and then we got, like I said, the coilover front suspension made by Stryker.
00:52We went with the four-link bars in the front with the billet plates.
00:58We got the model right here would be the Lanyant 30.
01:02We got the LEDs inside of it.
01:04Down below, we got the amp steps to climb up in easily.
01:08We got DDC wheels with the spikes.
01:11We got super singles in the front.
01:13In the rear of this rig, we have Dually, and we decided to go with the Dually to kind of
01:18separate ourselves.
01:19We like the quality of ride that it has on the highway, and it's still off-road very well.
01:23If a customer really wants super singles, that could be an option front and rear,
01:27but we really like having the Toyo tires and the ride quality that they provide.
01:31This is an F550 chassis with the 6.7 turbo diesel in it.
01:36We have an upgraded aftermarket grille on the front of it and bumper combo.
01:41We have a cal induction hood that is up above that we put inserts into to keep the motor cool.
01:49We also have a winch down below.
01:53We have light bars on our upper rack up above as well, and full pod lights all the way around
01:59it.
01:59You can see some of our windows are open right here.
02:03They're all on electronic actuators, so they open and close, which is pretty great.
02:07You're able to open them partly or fully open.
02:11You're not married to fully open with the hydraulic ram reservoirs you commonly would see.
02:16We also have a Vroom slide system on our pop-out, which is a great upgrade.
02:23We have all hand-stitched leather in the front of this, done by a local shop out of Napa, California.
02:30An Android radio deck that's up above, just in case you want to watch Netflix while you're going down the
02:36road.
02:38We have diamond plate all the way around the bottom as a skirt.
02:42You can see the DDC wheels in the rear with the Toyos.
02:46We also have the ground leveling system in there that you're able to level our RV.
02:53Once you get parked, you want to be able to bring your pop-out out, fully level it.
02:56With a push of a button, you're able to level this thing and get it exactly how you want it.
03:00No downriggers hitting the ground. It does it right off of it.
03:03We have storage boxes all the way around here.
03:07They're kind of a mess right now because we just took it across the country, but we made it out
03:11here.
03:13We've got our water heater right here, and then we'll take you around the other side.
03:18We've got the electric P51 on the back.
03:23We've got EcoFlow power system inside here, which we really like.
03:27Our customers seem to love it as well.
03:30Down below, we've got two EcoFlow batteries in here.
03:33Like I said, we've got all sorts of stuff in here from traveling across the country.
03:39Right here, you've got a garden hose and then a propane pull-out hose as well if you have an
03:44external barbecue.
03:46We have wheel wells that we made in-house, and you can see right here is our earth leveling system,
03:53ground leveling system.
03:55You've got an external wall plug right here, the heater for the RV.
04:00You've got a TV up above, more storage, all full of stuff from us traveling, but here we are.
04:10We've got the recessed stairs that come up above.
04:20But the coolest part of this rig, in my opinion, would be the solar system.
04:24Right now, you can see that our sail is opened up, which provides excellent storage before you start your drive.
04:30When you're starting your drive, right before you want to drive, you lower the sail down.
04:46We've got a hidden drawer down here in the step as well.
04:52Pretty long.
04:56We use slate that we got on here.
04:59It's real slate.
05:01It looks like it would be really heavy, but we were able to incorporate a really thin material that we
05:06ordered from Europe,
05:06and it really worked out great for this.
05:09One of the great options for this.
05:11Actually, let me pass you off on Anton.
05:13I'm sure you're excited to see the inside.
05:15My background comes from architecture and building, and I built a few of these before I decided to build this
05:22one.
05:22And so the design and the inside, you're going to get to see.
05:25Come check it out.
05:33So, as you can see, it's got more space than most that you see on the market, and a lot
05:38of that has to do with this big, enormous slide-out, which really is kind of a game-changer for
05:43the overland market because it can still do what overlanders do, but you have more space when you get to
05:51the place that you're going.
05:53So, as you see, it starts with the big queen-size bed up here.
05:58This is an automated shade that can go down.
06:02So, as you can see, the bed isn't too high here, so we didn't put a ladder that you see
06:05in most of them.
06:06You could have one if you wanted one, but we put this nice step here that helps you jump up
06:11inside.
06:11And then we also additionally put an additional step just to help you jump up in there.
06:16That works for most people, but if a ladder is optimal, then you can have a ladder.
06:20This curtain closes to give you privacy here.
06:25So, you can see that right here we have all this cabinetry that we did.
06:32This is distressed with chainsaws, grinders, antiqued.
06:36This comes from a real antique barn that we put for these box beams up here.
06:41We just tried to make everything.
06:42What I do in architecture and the homes that I do, it's like art rather than just function.
06:47And so, we wanted to make this like a piece of artwork inside.
06:50And these are all latching, and they open up here for storage.
06:55Right here, we've got a live edge slab that is lighter than it looks.
07:01Everything in here that you see is lighter than it looks the way that we did most of it.
07:05We've got a big fireplace here for ambiance.
07:07It does put heat out, not the heat that you need to heat the place.
07:11We've got real, you know, distressed composite flooring that mimics wood, but we went with a lighter white so that
07:20we could accent all these dark woods without making everything dark here.
07:24This is a 65-inch flat screen TV that comes up here.
07:30It's also a matte TV because we have these big windows in here.
07:36We didn't want the glare to, you know, affect the viewing of the TV during the day.
07:41So, you can actually watch this when everything's open in the daylight.
07:45Yep, custom wood, driftwood there that we did.
07:50And then this is a feature that all these windows we custom designed and built with our team.
07:57And they're on electric actuators.
08:00So, they go up and down.
08:05If they were on gas struts, they'd be too hard to go out and grab to pull them back in.
08:10So, then, too, if you're in a tight spot and you only want to open them a little bit, you
08:13can.
08:13And then instead of the blinds, we have them on the electric window tint.
08:16So, privacy.
08:18They don't rattle.
08:19Just cleaner look.
08:24Over here, this couch is also electric.
08:30It goes in and out depending on where you want it.
08:32This table's on an actuator.
08:34And it goes down under the carpet, flushes down to the floor.
08:38And then this whole, you know, slide can slide over it.
08:42So, that's how we were able to accommodate all this room.
08:44And then the other side of the couch also moves over there.
08:48So, it can turn into another queen bed.
08:53And all this upholstery is kind of sound dampening as well.
08:58Just gives you a nice overall creative look to everything.
09:03Over here, so, I like to cook.
09:07So, I wanted a kitchen that I want to cook in.
09:09Starting this, I'm living in it half the time.
09:12So, I wanted to have something I want to cook in like I would like to cook at home.
09:15So, I made the kitchen big.
09:16So, this is a cutting board.
09:18Your trash is right here.
09:21And as you're cutting, you can just throw the vegetables in here.
09:24This is another cutting board over here.
09:26This is real concrete countertops.
09:28But they were poured very thin the way that we did it.
09:32So, they're strong.
09:32But you have the appearance of real concrete because it is.
09:36But it's light.
09:37And then all of these little buttons over here.
09:39So, first off, I did a gas stove.
09:42If somebody wanted something different, you could.
09:44But I prefer to cook on an open flame.
09:46And then, I wanted to maximize all of the space that we have here.
09:52So, the custom set of cooking knives.
09:54That's probably one of my favorite things in here.
09:57Those get a lot of attention.
10:00That is your microwave, but it's also an air fryer and a convection.
10:03So, that's why we didn't put a normal oven in.
10:05And over here, we've got a coffee maker.
10:12And this one.
10:19Custom dishwasher.
10:23And you can actually turn that on, run it, and then close it while washing the dishes.
10:28Put it back on if you want to.
10:31Yep.
10:32Just a lot of drawer space in here.
10:34All these open up.
10:35You get plenty of drawers.
10:36A lot of room.
10:38A lot of cabinet space.
10:40Here, you've got a full, we did the retro fridge.
10:44But this is a normal household fridge.
10:46So, you can see there's plenty of space.
10:48Room in here.
10:49Freezer.
10:49It's got an ice maker.
10:52This is your pantry.
10:54It's got rollout.
10:56There's a little stuff.
10:58Rollout there.
10:59Down here, we've got a subwoofer for your Sonos surround sound and access to some of your AV equipment and
11:06everything.
11:07You've got a sound bar under here for Sonos.
11:09Those are two air conditioning units.
11:1413,500 BTUs between them both.
11:16Or each.
11:18So, and then you've got a bigger closet than you see in most of the rigs here.
11:23You've got a wine chiller.
11:24This holds nine bottles.
11:25Wine fridge.
11:27This is a gun safe.
11:28These are jewelry cabinets.
11:30We haven't designed anything in there yet.
11:32But we were showing, you know, people what we could do with this.
11:34Down here, you've got a drawer for shoes.
11:37Keep everything out of the way.
11:39And then a full, you know, bank of wardrobe drawers.
11:43And then here, we've got another kind of mattress everything.
11:48You've got your custom antiqued door.
11:53Closing everything off.
11:55And then as you come in here, you can see I'll let you go in there and do that.
12:02But bigger shower.
12:04That's a composting toilet and it's vented.
12:07Works great.
12:09Couldn't be happier with that.
12:12This is your heating system.
12:14So, your on-demand heat for the shower.
12:19Works good.
12:20And then, again, you've got a big shower.
12:24More than most have.
12:25This is all real slate, too.
12:27It's very thin and it's very light that we work with.
12:30But it's real slate.
12:32We get it from Europe.
12:33And so, got a skylight.
12:36Extra height in there if you need.
12:38Venting.
12:39And then your infinity mirror.
12:42Makes it go from a 30-footer to a 40-footer.
12:45Vessel sink.
12:46Real concrete countertops again.
12:48Yeah.
12:49Well, Anton, this is pretty damn cool.
12:52I wasn't expecting everything to pop out of the cabinets in this tour.
12:57I was in here earlier and I didn't even notice that.
13:00Yeah, it's kind of, it takes a little bit to take it all in.
13:03We've spent a lot of work to, you know, we optimized more space than normal.
13:07But really wanted to optimize everything that was in here.
13:10So, it feels like a, you know.
13:12Yeah, if you would have had a cabinet here, you wouldn't have had that view.
13:15Look at this view.
13:16You've got a full panoramic view on this side.
13:20All the way around.
13:21And, you know, normally you're going to take a coffee maker out.
13:24And you're going to put it on the countertop.
13:25And then you've got to put it away after.
13:27Now you don't.
13:28You can just put it there and it goes down.
13:30And we didn't want to take away from this indoor-outdoor feel, you know, blocking the windows and everything.
13:34So, we made it all disappear.
13:37I wish you luck at Overland East.
13:40And you're going to mention your website.
13:42So, people can go over and check this out.
13:44Yeah, rugbyledgerymotors.com.
13:46And then we're on Instagram the same.
13:48So, check us out.
13:49Maybe take them a, you know, picture of the brochure there.
13:53So, there it is, folks.
13:55I think this is going to win best in show.
13:58Appreciate it.
13:58I've never seen anything like this before.
14:00And I appreciate the opportunity to showcase it to our viewers.
14:03This is Patrick with New Jersey's Outdoor Adventures YouTube channel.
14:06Thanks for joining us.
14:07Thanks a lot.
14:08Thanks a lot.
