00:09I love Sephora, but I've never really associated it with a place that you go to get pampered.
00:14I go there to swatch new makeup, find new makeup, definitely not to get a facial,
00:19but all of that is changing because this month the brand is launching its first ever spa facial.
00:27And I got to try it first!
00:29The treatment in question is called the Perk Hydrating Facial,
00:33and it's designed to exfoliate and hydrate the skin in 30 minutes.
00:37But what I think makes it the most unique is that it's essentially the best gift with purchase ever.
00:44You can sign up online, or you can just walk in, and the facial is included with any $75 skincare
00:49purchase.
00:49This means that whatever you end up using with your skincare consultant, you can actually buy.
00:54So seeing as I've tried my fair share of facials, everything from the bubble facial, ice facial, grandma facial, bird
01:03poop facial,
01:04I thought it would be pretty fitting to give this one a try too.
01:07So I zipped over to the Sephora at Herald Square, which just so happens to be the largest Sephora in
01:12North America,
01:12and I got to try it out.
01:14So once I got to Sephora, I sat down with my skincare consultant, Veridiana, who was the sweetest person,
01:20and she asked me all about my skin.
01:22So Mian, tell me a little bit about your skincare routine.
01:25So I have kind of combination, relatively acne-prone skin.
01:27I try to stay away from things with too much fragrance.
01:30And we decided on a host of different products for me to try.
01:33So she started off with the first step, which is cleansing, of course, like any good facial.
01:37She used the Caudalie Instant Foaming Cleanser on my skin just to remove any excess oil, debris, that sort of
01:43thing.
01:44There's something about being cleansed by someone else that makes it just so much better.
01:48And then she moved on to the machine.
01:51So the first step with the PERC machine is the exfoliating serum.
01:56As the suction is pulling out the impurities, the rollerball is releasing that serum.
02:03So we're removing and then inserting into your skin.
02:06It's full of lactic acid.
02:07It comes through this little rollerball pen that's hooked up to a machine that exfoliates the skin
02:12and sucks away things like dead skin cells and oil into the machine.
02:17So she did that all over my face and followed up with the hydrating serum.
02:21So it's the same deal.
02:22It is a rollerball little pen that has the hydrating serum in it.
02:26It's fully antioxidant, starting off on the eye area to like plump and hydrate,
02:30infuse the skin with all that yummy goodness.
02:33Then after doing the eye area, she moved on to the rest of the face.
02:36Am I going to get to see all my skin?
02:37You are.
02:39I like gross stuff like that.
02:41We are all done.
02:42Now I did kind of sneak a little touch of my face.
02:45Don't touch your face.
02:46Oh no!
02:46Your hands are dirty.
02:48I was like, I want to feel the smoothness.
02:50So then she moved on to the rest of my skincare.
02:53She started off with some eye cream.
02:55So she used the Ulla Henriksen Banana Bright Eye Cream.
02:58So this is actually amazing under concealer and it'll help to brighten up under your eye area.
03:02Felt really lightweight, absorbed really quickly.
03:05And then she moved on to moisturizer and used one of my favorite moisturizers right now,
03:11which is the Herbivore Botanicals Pink Cloud Cream.
03:13Not only does it look beautiful, but it feels so luxurious in the skin.
03:18It smells like rose because it's full of rose water.
03:21It's very calming, non-irritating.
03:24Highly recommend.
03:25Then right after the moisturizer, she used the Dr. Jart Tiger Grass Camo Drops.
03:29Now I've used the Dr. Jart Tiger Grass Sycopare jar, which is quite a thick greenish cream that's supposed to
03:39help tone down redness.
03:40This is the much lighter serum version of that product.
03:44And it's so nice.
03:45It's so lightweight.
03:46It absorbs really nicely.
03:47Evens out redness, but doesn't look very heavy on the skin.
03:50Then as the final step of my routine, she used the Pharmacy Honey Butter Beeswax Lip Balm.
03:55Now I love Pharmacy.
03:57I adore that brand.
03:58So I was really excited to see they came out with a new lip balm.
04:01Now the facial comes with a final step, which is a little bit of foundation.
04:05Using the machine requires like zero recovery time.
04:07You can put makeup on right after it.
04:09It doesn't make your skin red.
04:10It doesn't make your skin feel irritated.
04:12And we're going to get a little fancy and use the La Mer Soft Fluid Longwear Foundation with SPF 20.
04:19I've been wanting to try this foundation and I know it's really expensive.

04:28Use every last drop.
04:30It was so nice.
04:31It was so dreamy.
04:32It was so like lightweight.
04:33It felt so much like skin.
04:35I have that on now.
04:36And that was it.
04:37Now you get to leave here fresh face and bushy-tailed.
04:41The final thing and very last thing we did, which is kind of optional, if you can stomach it,
04:46is see the jar of like liquidy gunk at the end that's just full of your dead skin and oil.
04:55I really want to see what we took out of the skin.
04:57Okay, so here we go.
05:02It looks really nasty.
05:05It was really gross.
05:06I actually like wasn't expecting it to be that nasty.
05:12But it was.
05:13We poured down the sink and then I got to look through the product and decide which ones I wanted
05:19to purchase.
05:20So I chose the things.
05:21She rung me out right there.
05:22And then I had it on my way.

05:29I think that going into it, I was like, oh, a facial at Sephora.
05:32But it was a nice little 30 minute break in the day.
05:35You do get like really individual attention.
05:38My skin felt great after.
