00:03In case you haven't noticed, the holidays are creeping up upon us and budgets are tight.
00:08I know I don't want to be spending a ton of money on new makeup.
00:10I want to find affordable pieces that'll give me a good look but that I can maybe also give as
00:15gifts.
00:15Luckily, the drugstores have a ton of new makeup these days and I'm going to put five new products to
00:20the test on my face today.
00:22First things first, foundation. I have this new cushion foundation from Wet n Wild. It's SPF 15.
00:28I hear it has pretty good coverage too so I'm very excited because if you can't tell, I have two
00:33giant pimples on my face.
00:34So the brand's launching a bunch of new brushes. This is just the foundation but it has a nice little
00:39reservoir tip.
00:40In here, I guess it's supposed to hold foundation. I'm going to apply it with a brush to half my
00:44face
00:45and then I'm going to attempt to use this little sponge that it comes with on the other half.
00:51First things first, brush.
00:55Ooh! That's a lot of coverage.
01:00I'm going to go in and try the same but with the sponge on the other side.
01:08I may covered up my pimples pretty well too.
01:11The redness is really, really visibly reduced.
01:14I'm quite impressed with this. I like it!
01:17So next up with the face products, I have these really awesome highlighters from Physicians Formula.
01:23They're brand new. They're called the Butter Highlighters.
01:26They have a pink, a frosty white, a bronze, and a gold color.
01:33It really feels like room temperature butter.
01:35Like if you're going to put your finger in like a stick of butter that's been sitting out,
01:38it has this like wet, creamy feeling and it goes on like a cream but as I'm blending it, it's
01:45like a powder.
01:48Wow, that's so pretty.
01:52So next up I have this setting spray from Flower which is Drew Barrymore's line.
01:56It is brand new and it's called the Sealadiel Long Lasting Setting Spray Matte Finish.
02:02That's what I like. Now I'm going to do this only on half my face just because I want to
02:08be able to see how the foundation holds up on its own without anything.
02:11So my face is done and I'm going to move on to eyes and I have this beautiful palette from
02:17NYX that just launched.
02:18It's part of the In Your Element collection and this is the metal version.
02:21They also have an air version, a water version, a fire version as well but this one is all metallic
02:28shade.
02:28Look how pretty that is. I'm obsessed. It has some beautiful purples, some burgundy, even a really beautiful blue.
02:39So I'm going to go in with this color first. It's kind of like silvery pinkish shade.
02:44I'm going to use a brush but I have a feeling these might be better applied with fingers.
02:49They apply really nicely even with a brush. No matte shades though which is in my opinion a bit of
02:54a problem.
02:55But I'm going to go in with this brush on the tip of it.
03:01So honestly this just wearing this one shadow all over my lid under my lash line I could stop there.
03:08But I want to go a little more intense and maybe do a little halo eye.
03:12I've been dying to use this lavender so I'm going to dip into it.
03:16It's subtle but it's going to help open up my eye. It's going to create like a halo effect.
03:21I like it. I'm into it. I'm going to follow up with some mascara.
03:25I think I'm going to call it quits after that.
03:30I'm going to move on to lips now. The last step in my routine.
03:34I have some really exciting lipsticks. They're from L'Oreal and they are the collection the brand did with the
03:42fashion house.
03:43I have three shades. Confession, Freedom and Urban Safari.
03:48So I'm going to go with Confession which is this beautiful tawny pink.
03:55I was wrong when I said this was pink. This is like a nice on the lips it actually looks
03:59more peach.
04:00I don't know if this is the shade for me guys.
04:02So on the fence about the color of the lipstick but the formula is super smooth. It's opaque.
04:09The tapered edge makes it very easy to apply.
04:11And I love that L'Oreal is teaming up with a brand like Balmain.
04:15It's cool that you can get a little slice of luxury at the drugstore at a really affordable price.
04:20Plus it would make a good gift right?
04:22So this is my face done and I'm going to go about the rest of my day and I'm going
04:25to check in in a couple hours
04:27and we'll see how this makeup is holding up. See you then.
04:30Hey guys. So it is around noon. It is a super gloomy day in New York.
04:34So I'm not too sad to be inside.
04:36I just had my lunch and I've got to say the makeup is holding up pretty swimmingly.
04:41Look at it.
04:43I've got to say I'm very impressed with the foundation from Wet n Wild.
04:47On the side with the setting spray, I'm not noticing the huge difference.
04:53It looks a little shinier here on the side that I didn't set it but nothing too crazy.
04:57So maybe throughout the day more we'll be able to see if the setting spray is really keeping the side
05:01on.
05:02The lipstick, I didn't really like it at first but now I'm into it.
05:07But the actual eyeshadow I love. I love this metallic shade.
05:11It's holding up pretty well. It's not creasing yet. So fingers crossed.
05:16We'll see if it's still the same case in a few hours.
05:19So we just got back from our little smoothie run.
05:21Yes.
05:22And we got rained on.
05:23I still think it looks really good the eyes.
05:25I think the foundation still looks really good.

05:30I'm only wearing setting spray on one side of my face.
05:34Which side do you think it is?
05:35She's like a setting spray connoisseur.
05:38So this is interesting.

05:40It's the Flower. Flower has a new mattifying setting spray.
05:45Okay.

05:48It's matte. You can tell.

06:07As you can see the makeup has significantly faded.
06:11Which is to be expected after even wearing it for like 10 hours or so.
06:17The foundation honestly I'm so impressed with.
06:20It looks great.
06:21I'm probably going to wear it tomorrow.
06:22The side that I set it with the spray is definitely a little bit more matte than the other side.
06:27Although you can't really tell the difference.
06:29Lipstick wise it did come off as soon as I started eating.
06:32Which is honestly pretty normal when it comes to traditional lipstick.
06:36Highlighter wise you can still kind of see the highlighter.
06:39But it's faded a lot.
06:41But I do think that it's a beautiful one if you want a subtle highlight.
06:46That just gives you that glow rather than that metallic beam.
06:51Eyes have started creasing and they started smudging a lot.
06:55Overall I really like the palette.
06:56I would 100% wear primer under these shadows.
06:59I don't think that you would be able to go on your own without one.
