00:00I can say that in general queerness is kind of like a celebration and that's what always
00:06drew me to it is that you take ownership of who you are and what you like and that's hard
00:13in a world that tells you that it's not okay.
00:15I'm an underground artist and musician and a lot of the circles that I travel in are
00:22in queer circles.
00:23So I feel like a queer celebration happens almost every night for me.
00:28I think labels are just important for identifying a feeling initially but I don't think they're
00:37everything.
00:37When I first discovered that I even was queer I came out as bisexual but it's not necessarily
00:44something I would identify with now.
00:47Queer, mainly known for its dictionary definition of weird, not normal.
00:53And I think what the community has done is reclaimed that word to be positive.
00:59When I embraced my queerness it became a lot easier because I think just being female in
01:07this society you're kind of pressured into like having your whole existence revolve around
01:12a man and your whole importance revolving around a man.
01:15And I was very pressured into that.
01:17It was confusing because I loved being female but I didn't love the attachment to male satisfaction.
01:24So just do you.
01:25And I think that's what gender expression should be about.
01:28I think people are so cute when they do themselves.
01:31I think people are a lot hotter when they're just like expressing what they want to, you know?
01:37I don't know.
01:37I think it's so cute.
01:40Do you think people are still looking at it?
01:41There's not going to be a bit more sustainable.
