00:09Today I'm going to be facing my fears. I'm going to double dare myself to try a graphic eye.
00:14So the graphic eyeliner trend. What's going on? What's happening? Why are you so afraid of this?
00:20Well, I've always loved the 60s. That is my style decade that I feel most at home in,
00:25but I've never been good with liquid liner, so I would love to get some tips on how to get
00:30that graphic poppy effect but without my hands shaking all over the place.
00:35Well, graphic eyeliner is really on trend right now. It's all over the runway and the red carpet.
00:39So I want to show you how you can get that graphic 60s eye in just a few easy steps.
00:45The first thing I'm going to do is start with something that's going to feel a little strange, and I'm
00:49going to go to a stark white eyeshadow.
00:51So I'm taking the white and I'm just washing it right onto the lid.
00:56So the next step is going to seem a little unnecessary, but I guarantee it will make it easier for
01:00you to get the graphic line.
01:01Because what it's going to do is give you a guide to trace right over with your black line.
01:06And we're taking a matte taupe eyeshadow. So what we're doing is going right above the crease.
01:11You've got a really beautiful shape to your eyes, so we're just going to follow that crease and extend it
01:16a little bit for that 60s shape.
01:18And then we're going to take the same taupe shadow and the same brush, and what I'm going to do
01:23is just have you look right up.
01:24And I'm going right under the eye.
01:27The next step is to find a liquid liner that you love.
01:30And I love this liner because it's shorter and it gives me much more control, and it's also thicker, so
01:35I get those lines very quickly.
01:37Fold it like a pencil, use the whole tip, not just the point, and you're just going to literally draw
01:42right over the line we just created.
01:44Next we're going to take the same liner, just have you look right up, and we're going right under the
01:49eye.
01:50The last part of the look, I love a spiky lash.
01:53So we are taking a small fan brush and a lengthening mascara, and we're just going to hit those top
02:01lashes.
02:02Oh my gosh.
02:04It's a wow.
02:05Yeah, I love it.
02:06It's not an everyday, it's not for the faint of heart, but it is definitely a look that separates you
02:11from everybody else in the club.

02:16Another great tip, if you want to make it really easy until you're able to work that line really well,
02:21cut a stencil for yourself.
02:23You can use a piece of paper or cardboard as your guide, create the shape that you want, and then
02:27you literally just flip it from one eye to the other, and you've got a great guide to follow for
02:31those graphic eyes.
