00:09We're so glad you're here. I'm so thrilled. You probably know her best because she's
00:13the longtime makeup artist to one of our favorites which is Gina Rodriguez. Yes,
00:18Gina is my favorite as well and I'm so lucky that I get to work with someone
00:22with such great skin so I get to show off a beautiful healthy glow on her. So
00:28we are here testing dozens upon dozens upon dozens of drugstore highlighters
00:33in a pursuit of getting to the five best. What is the first pick? So the first pick
00:39is the Jordana glow and go creamy strobing stick and I love this. I love actually
00:46all the colors that they had from light medium to dark so I couldn't just pick
00:52one because I think this whole line is great for every skin tone. Fun fact this
00:57is $4.99. We have a lovely volunteer Amber. Let me try one of these on you.
01:04Amber has such beautiful skin. I love your skin tone. So we're gonna try the
01:10Jordana. So I'm just gonna apply the cheekbone and then we'll just use a beauty blender.
01:18I think it depends on like the type of person but this little applicator is so
01:23great. You can just literally just draw down your nose, draw on the sides. It's super
01:26creamy so it's not gonna dry so quick. You can really blend it in.
01:34So I really love this pick. I'm glad we did this one. It's so pretty. Thank you. And as
01:41you're wearing it during the day it only looks better. Yeah. Alright so one down.
01:46What is your second pick? So my second pick comes from Wet n Wild.
01:52Hmm. That's not surprising at all. I feel like everyone always talks about Wet n Wild
01:56highlighters because they're great but they're also really cheap. Yes. I mean
02:00it's probably the cheapest line out there. And how smooth and soft it is. And this
02:07color Precious Petals is a color that's universally flattering. So it's a little bit
02:13of gold to it. So I feel like this can be worn with any skin tone really. Super soft,
02:21universally flattering which is huge because it makes it totally foolproof if
02:24you want to just go pick it up. Tell us about the application. How would you put
02:27this on? So I would put this on because it's a powder because it's highly
02:31pigmented. I would use a brush and you can just buff it into your skin and it also
02:37helps you to control how much you're putting on because this is so pigmented and
02:42such a you can have such a wow moment. It helps you to control how much you're using. Cool.
02:48All right we are two down and have three to go. Carissa take us to our third pick.
02:52Okay it's the Maybelline Master Strobing Stick. When you're blending it it almost
02:57feels like a really silky powder. I'm like no. It's all mine. It's all mine. Luckily it's very low price.
03:07Really pretty. Really pretty. I love the way it feels. Yeah it feels really nice. Cool.
03:12So you would just draw on and blend? Yeah you can draw on again because it's cream it's easy to
03:17use
03:18your finger if you're that kind of girl. You can also use a beauty blender. I love a
03:23beauty blender. I could not live without this. So now we are down to number four. The Almay
03:28instant glow highlighting duo. Ooh duo. I know. Two sided. Options. Which is really liquidy. You can maybe
03:38even put a few drops of this into your foundation. Pretty. If you wanted like an
03:42all-over glow. Oh that's nice. It's very light and subtle. It is very subtle. This little
03:48applicator would be really good for like insides of the eyes or under brow bone. A little inner eye strobing.
03:53Exactly. And then the other side which is a cream stick. As you can tell I really
03:59like the creams. I feel like all of these have one big commonality which is that
04:04they're not glittery. They're not chunky and they're just really pretty and
04:08shimmery. For our next highlighting model we have another Refinery 29 staff for
04:13Jeanette. And for Jeanette's look I'm gonna try the Almay highlighting duo. Look for
04:20sheen instead of glitter. And I'm gonna use a flat angle brush. And this was the
04:26only pink I really liked because it didn't look too like I say like unicorn-y. So
04:32you want to apply in these areas because that's where the light's hitting. And you
04:36want to have the center of your face more forward where it's more glowing and the
04:44perimeter. That's why you you contour in the perimeter of the skin.
04:53The last one is by Flower. You have a champagne color. Always a favorite of mine. A little bit
05:01of a rose color. And of course a gold. And so this is kind of cool because you can
05:07mix it. You can wear some on the eyes. You can wear a gold on the eye and the
05:12champagne on the cheek. And this one is especially pigmented. This is like we're
05:20ending with the major most intense color pigments. This is the see your
05:26highlighter from space palette. This is your Instagram highlight. Oh my gosh you
05:32know what else is this is amazing for? It just dawned on me. It's great for like
05:36the collarbone area. The shoulder. That's a celebrity makeup artist right there. That's true.
05:42That's true. Like it's not just about here you guys. We do the whole. You highlight the
05:47whole body. Yeah I'm like getting on the toes. Making sure it's coming. You highlight toes?
05:53No I don't highlight toes. So I'm gonna use the champagne color on Lexi. I like to tap off the
05:58excess
05:58face. Oh that's really pretty with your blush too. Thanks. I'm gonna try this because I'm super
06:11excited now to try some like right here. What am I doing? I can't really think. I mean it's like
06:18it's there. It's there? Yeah it's super super super pigmented. Yeah. Yeah. I've created a
