00:00Hey guys, I'm Ali, and today we're trying universal makeup.
00:04Universal as in your one-stop shop and one product that's supposed to be perfect for
00:09all shades, complexions, whatever.
00:12So as there's been more of a demand in the media for diversity and inclusivity, the beauty
00:17industry has kind of followed suit by creating these universal products, and we have three
00:22of them here today.
00:23So to truly put these products to the test, we've brought in 13 Refinery29 women with
00:28different skin tones and shades to see if they really work.
00:31First up, we've got Revlon's Super Lustrous Love Is On Red.
01:09Next up, we have Max Ruby Woo.
01:34Let's go.
01:45And last, we have Fenty Beauty's Stunna Lip Pain.
02:23Let's bring up the scorecard and see who the winner is.
02:35So there's a clear winner here, but I think the real message is that we need to make products
02:40for women of different shades, different skin tones, and make sure that we represent those
02:45different skin tones in media as well.
