Jeremy White and Sneaky Joe DiBiase get things rolling this morning by discussing the strange mystery surrounding Lamar Jackson’s injury status ahead of the Bills-Ravens huge matchup on Sunday afternoon. They look back on his career and highlight just how often Jackson’s status is up in the air for the Ravens, and they emphasize how big of a problem it is for them. They compare that to the constant availability and consistency of Josh Allen and wonder how frustrating it must be for the Ravens organization.

00:00803-0550. Hey everybody, I'm back. Excited to be back. Baltimore on Sunday. I've been
00:06catching the Baltimore discourse, the Alan, the Alan Lamar discourse. Is it even, is Alan even
00:12involved? No. A lot of it this week is just, and it's coming from Baltimore also. We played,
00:18did we play the video? There's a video of Ravens fans kind of saying the same stuff. Like, get on
00:24the field, dude. Right. Like, what, you can't play unless it's exactly 100%. You can't play if
00:29you're 90%. Like, there is a lot of that with Jackson right now. There's a lot of
00:34stuff being uncovered from previous seasons where, like, I read a couple
00:39quotes that I saw Nick Wright bring up in 2021 where Harbaugh for, like, multiple
00:44weeks in a row was like, yeah, he assured me he's going to play. He's going to
00:47play. It's a day-to-day thing. He'll be back. And then he didn't play the rest of
00:50the season. No. Like, he just, he's going to play now. I think that's almost. We
00:55certainly think so. Yeah. I saw the, the Nick Wright clip and agreed with a lot of
01:01it because, you know, I don't think we're here to call anyone soft or call
01:07anyone fragile, but Lamar, the entire time he's been in the league, hasn't it
01:15been, he's unavailable or he's questionably available or that's a bigger
01:21part of it. You never really know what's going on. And the difference
01:25between Lamar and Josh is with Josh, we know he's hurt and playing anyway. And
01:31with Lamar, you don't know if he's hurt and maybe not playing as a result. Allen
01:36never even tells you what his injuries are. He won't even throw up, show up on
01:39the injury report, even if he's got one, right? They've somehow mastered that
01:43game where they, we know he's hurt. We know something's in there and it's not
01:47even on the injury report. The thing I wonder about Lamar, and I say this as
01:51someone that thinks he's excellent, amazing when he's on the field, money
01:55plays. And you know, the last time these two teams met in the playoffs, Lamar
02:01outplayed Allen. Yeah. He did have turnovers, but you know me, like I, I don't
02:05think those have to be the end all be all. He played a great game in a loss here
02:10to Josh and the bills. And you know, that doesn't matter because there are two
02:16things about these two that are different. One is playoff success. And
02:19the other is, will you play? Can I count on you to play playoff success? Josh is
02:24a lot better. Can I count on you to play? It's a blowout. I mean, it's, it's, it's
02:30yeah. Two ends of the spectrum. I can count on Allen to play. And with Lamar, I
02:35just, I never know. No. And it's really about the, the questionable, like you don't
02:41really ever know what's going on. Part of it. Like what, what feels worse? Feels
02:47worse. And maybe there is no difference what actually the results are, but Joe
02:52Burrow versus Lamar. Joe Burrow's missed more games in his career than Lamar
02:55Jackson has. He has, but they're all season ending injuries. It's a torn
03:01ligament in his elbow. There's an ACL. There's an ACL in his rookie season. There
03:05was a, there was another, there's a foot injury maybe. Whatever. There were the
03:10bad season ending injuries where no one's expecting you to play through a
03:14torn ACL or, oh, I have a ripped ligament in my right elbow. What am I
03:18gonna do? You can't play through that. Like Burrow's missed games, but when it's
03:22that or Jackson, who's missed almost the same amount of games, I think it's 16 to
03:2824. So like whatever. But with Jackson, it all kind of sounds like it's now you
03:34just don't want to do it. Right. Like you could, but you don't really, you don't
03:39feel like, what did he say earlier in the week? I don't feel like that I'm going to
03:43be helping the team if I'm not a hundred percent out there, which I think is
03:47bogus. I think him at 70% is probably a lot better than Tyler Huntley. Yeah, maybe
03:52Huntley ends up being pretty good. But the thing about it that's so strange is it's
03:56not like Lamar is the kind of guy that if he's got a high ankle sprain or if he's
04:00got some sort of whatever limitation to being able to run, he's still an
04:04incredible passer without having to run. Incredible. This is not the guy that
04:10needs to run to survive says, well, I can't run, so I can't play. That's what's
04:16odd to me. But even beyond that, it's like it actually happens like even in
04:20games, right? Like not just to be like snarky about it. He leaves to go to the
04:25bathroom in the middle of games. I think a lot of guys do that, don't they? He
04:30doesn't, they don't misplays, right? They don't misdrive. He's a starting
04:33quarterback. That's happened to him. How about there was a time where me and
04:38Nate were sitting here doing pregame, was it last year or the year before? And
04:42Jackson, I remember this only because I had him in fantasy that day. I'm not
04:45sure the game mattered, but it's like 11 o'clock and all of a sudden like, oh, Lamar
04:49might not play today because he feels sick. Like what? Yeah. It's 11 o'clock on a
04:53Sunday. What do you mean he might not play? I think he might have actually
04:56played, but it was a question and he's been a guy who's, has he missed games
05:01through the flu? I feel like I'd want to bet he has at some point along the
05:05way. I just think he's giving off the impression that if I don't feel right, I
05:10just don't really feel like playing. I'm not going to play. And you've got Josh
05:14Allen and Mahomes and you've got, I mean, most quarterbacks are this way, I
05:18would say, where if they've got something like that going on, a nagging
05:22injury or you're sick or whatever, then they're going to be on the field no
05:26matter what. And you just don't even have to question it. 803 05 50. If you
05:30want to chat with us about the bills and the Ravens coming up Sunday, one
05:33o'clock off the buy, the bill said the longest active streak in the NFL of
05:37wins off the buy 11 in a row, 11 in a row. Do you know the last game they
05:43lost off the buy? Yeah. Hmm. We looked it up a little earlier in the week. I
05:49there's no way I'm going to know this because it's I'll tell you the game
05:52and maybe you can tell me what happened. That I'm sure I can do. The bills lost to
05:56the chiefs 17 to 13 in 2014 with Kyle Orton as their quarterback. Okay. I
06:01don't remember that at all. This is the Bryce Brown fumble game. Ah, yes. They
06:04should have won. Yes. They should have won. Yeah. Benjamin in Jamestown leads us
06:09off on this Thursday morning on, uh, on the saves. What's up, Benjamin?
06:13Good morning. Uh, sorry to interrupt the Ravens talk. That's all right. I'm flying
06:18out to LA, driving to the airport right now. Going to see the Sabres play the Ducks
06:21tonight. My brother's picking me up from the airport. We're driving straight there
06:25and then going to the Kings game on Saturday. Did this trip in the spring, uh, last
06:29season on back-to-back nights because the Olympic schedule was just for any fans that
06:34ever want to do it. I know it's not a cheap trip, but it really is a good
06:38experience. The Kings stadium pretty late back arena. Ducks fans seem to take it
06:43pretty seriously. I know that the stakes aren't as high right now as it was in the
06:47spring. We're playing against the Ducks and that was a fun overtime loss. Um, but
06:52it's a, it's a good trip. I think I'd really suggest it for anybody who looks to go
06:55out there. And are you familiar with the movie UHF, Jeremy? Uh, yes. Yes. So this
07:02Saturday, uh, the Hollywood Bowl, the only reason I have this trip booked is do a
07:06screening with a live orchestra and Weird Al's band. Wow. They're playing the
07:10music live with it. That's the only reason I'm taking this trip and the
07:13Sabres are not to schedule. So I'm doing this trip again, uh, going to see both
07:18hockey games as well. So it's a pretty busy weekend for me. But I just want to say
07:22anyone ever interested in doing it, uh, good trip, certainly. Yeah. It's certainly
07:27worth it. The Ducks have their own parking garages, free parking at all Ducks
07:31games. Nice. Get out there, get some California weather, uh, go Sabres, go
07:35Bells. Thank you. Thanks Benjamin. If you'd given me 10,000 years to guess why
07:40you're going to Los Angeles, a live UHF performance with an orchestra would
07:45have been pretty, it would taken a long time to get there. Enjoy the trip. Ducks
07:49games. You did not go to the Washington game when you were in Washington? No. End
07:53of our trip. We were leaving at like four o'clock the next morning. So we get out
07:57before a marathon, closed all the streets down. Like we're not, yeah, let's, yeah,
08:00let's just watch the game. You didn't want to see Alex Tuck score the two
08:02goals. No, he scored two goals again last night. He did, huh? Yeah. He's, I
08:07believe he's got nine goals in 11 games. What are those nine goals going to look
08:11like in six years? 803-0550. So it's fine. It's fine. It's totally fine. It's
08:17fine. The Sabres got to win. They beat a team that never wins in regulation in
08:20the, in the, uh, sharks. Yeah, they still, they're sitting on one, one
08:23and the Sabres have, are they up to three? Hey, beating them before overtime
08:28though is an accomplishment because not many teams to do in that. That's right.
08:30That's right. That's right. And, uh, anyway, on the Sabres, how did you, how
08:35did you handle it? We never put it on the bet board. I should have led with
08:38this. Connor Hallibuck's next game will be a Buffalo as a Buffalo
08:41Sabre. We never, I don't think we bet it. I didn't bet against it. I
08:44definitely said it a bunch. You definitely said it a lot and it did not
08:48happen. And he has played and he is a member of the New Jersey Devils. And
08:51I've got some thoughts on that as well. I mean, it could be worse. You could
08:53have purchased a Connor Hallibuck Sabres jersey. That, that, that's
08:57something that Joe Kelly did do. Yeah. He has it now forever. It'll be a
09:00thing. It'll be in the ethers of history there in 15 years. He's
09:04going to wear it somewhere. I mean, like what on earth are you
09:07wearing? It's going to, it's going to bring back flashbacks of just
09:10the hella buck summer. Honestly, though, how different is that than
09:13like a random, you know, uh, Baltimore Ravens, 2013 AFC North
09:20champs shirt, right? Like not a year where you win the Superbowl, just a
09:24year that nobody remembers. You won the division. Like, Oh, Oh, Oh,
09:27that's right. They had a good year that year. And this
09:31Jersey would be like, Oh, that's right. I remember the Sabres
09:33were talking about this as an idea. Yeah. It's not that
09:36different. No, it's not. It's not that bad. I mean, it's a
09:40little, how different is it than the Colts AFC finalist? Oh,
09:44maybe not different than that. Participation banner. Yeah. How
09:47different is it than if I, what was that one? AFC finalists? When a
09:50team, when a team makes the wild card in baseball and they sell
09:53the shirts, it's not that different. Those are things that you
09:56accomplish. Yeah. Right. Those you get across the line. That's
10:00that, it would be the same basically as if the Sabres, you know, I
10:04guess they just made it. In 2023, when they missed by one point, if
10:07they had been selling jerseys or shirts during April, that said, uh,
10:112023 Stanley cup playoffs and you bought one of those shirts, that's
10:15that would be the equivalent. That's probably right. All right.
10:18Shots of audio, Sal Capaccio, Brian Wacker from the Baltimore
10:21Sun on the Ravens fun frivolity along the way on a beautiful day. It's
10:26going to be a near record highs today. So enjoy it. Get with us. Jump
10:30in. Tyrell Shavers being activated today. He played like 40% of their
10:36snaps. Yeah. Yeah. As the one of the original Tyrell Shavers truthers, I
10:43remain stunned what Tyrell Shavers now gets treated like now that he's
10:47returning from pub and that says the OG. Yeah. You were like training
10:53camp here. I was, I was, I was foundation basement level. This guy
10:58can play. Yeah. And now we're at like, this guy has got a cult
11:02following. So good to get him back. He's a good player, but you know,
11:06anyway, 803-0550 to join us. Jeremy and Joe on WGR.
