00:00And tonight, it is the Lakers and the Clippers for the second time in a week.
00:04Ready, guys. That would be his first game of the season if he gets in tonight.
00:08And that's a good point. We've been talking about him, and when is he going to finally get that opportunity?
00:14We are upstairs, and I mean way upstairs here at the Intuit Dome.
00:19Can you see him, Stu?
00:20I see players.
00:24And that has kind of reared its ugly head a couple of times.
00:28Crossover, 5-ball, throws it up there, throws it in.
00:31In the corner, there's 9 to shoot. There was no reset at all. Wide open.
00:371-pound dribble, Jones Jr.
00:39Now they're on the board with a feat as good as anybody right now forcing turnovers.
00:43That's why the bounce pass is so important.
00:47And that one crawls over the rim.
00:49Very effectively.
00:51Down low is Grimes. In the lane, got to do something with it.
00:55Fights Kessler, and he scores! Count it!
00:58The guy who had one of his primary moves is the most dangerous move in basketball, and that's the crossover.
01:04Hit the defender right on you.
01:07Nearly going.
01:08Here's Mamu. Had himself a good game last night. Real good game off the bench.
01:11Now they come 2-on-2.
01:13Here is Dunn. Reverse slam. As good as they get it.
01:16Fight. He's a left-hander, and that possibly threw that shot off.
01:20Lakers 1-for-7 from downtown.
01:23Garland got it.
01:24Play. First quarter.
01:26Glad you're with us here on Spectrum Sportsnet.
01:28Lakers, Clippers, second of four meetings.
01:30Underneath Owen very deep.
01:32Lopez is not going to miss that.
01:34Relatively low scoring quarter from what we've been seeing the last few involving the Lakers.
01:40Mamu Kainer's feeling is just as I say that.
01:43That's Vando out there doing his defensive thing.
01:46Grady Dick is in the game.
01:48Now underneath. Wide open.
01:50Getting lost.
01:51Good look at it there.
01:54And we're right up there near the scoreboard.
01:57It's like we can reach out and touch it.
01:58We're in the scoreboard.
01:59We can touch it.
02:00Half a minute to play in the quarter.
02:02Lakers have forged into the lead again.
02:04That's a steal.
02:05And once again, it's the same guy.
02:10Still could be a full house tonight.
02:13Very close to it if it's not.
02:16And settling in.
02:18Reeves into the attacking zone.
02:20Surveys.
02:21Grady Dick trying to look right up in his jersey now.
02:24Here it is off the window.
02:25You talk about it.
02:27Into the corner.
02:28Hardy.
02:29And then he nearly throws it right into the backcourt.
02:33Saved by Reeves with four, with three.
02:35He's going to take the three.
02:37In rhythm.
02:38Down in the quarter.
02:39Nearly halfway through it.
02:41We're going to see Collin Sexton in at the next dead ball.
02:44Jones Jr.
02:44Look out.
02:45They take it away.
02:47Mamu.
02:47Mamu's got it.
02:48Going to get it right back.
02:49And score.
02:51Run the floor.
02:52Great sequence.
02:53That's a great sequence by Mamu.
02:56For defense right now.
02:58And Reeves here he is in.
02:59Very deep.
03:00And then he just runs into trouble.
03:01But the Lakers extremely fortunate.
03:04It goes to Sexton.
03:06Good pass by Walker.
03:08Give him credit.
03:09A couple of big steps now.
03:10The wide open man Garland.
03:12In there.
03:13Swishes it right through.
03:15Boy, did he read that.
03:16Now to Mamu.
03:17So another turnover.
03:19Mamu.
03:19Corner.
03:20Good decision.
03:21Goes over the fly ball.
03:23Who knocks it down.
03:24Yes, sir.
03:25This is under four minutes to play.
03:27Remember at the half.
03:28We're going to send it down the street.
03:30Really, Dale Segundo.
03:32And the halftime report.
03:34Can he do it again?
03:35He does it again.
03:37Two in a row from the corner from Matisse.
03:39Same spot.
03:41Mamu.
03:41Holding on to it.
03:42Finds Reeves.
03:43We've got 2.49 o'clock moving.
03:46First half.
03:47Lakers lead it 48-35.
03:49Make it 50.
03:51I think he might have been also, like I said, frustrated that the foul wasn't called.
03:56Although he was the one that threw out the arm.
03:58There's Reeves.
03:59He goes in as a point lead at the half.
04:02Looking for win number four.
04:04Yeah, first part of this third quarter.
04:06First five minutes or so.
04:08Jones Jr. hit a couple of threes early on, you might recall.
04:13Sloppy game.
04:14Gun right back to Garland.
04:16He's got a three drain to the basket.
04:18And he takes advantage of it.
04:21He's in charge of things right now.
04:22Kessler.
04:23The little itty-fitty roll.
04:25And it's going to be taken.
04:26It's a two-on-one.
04:27Oh, and that's a poor run for a poorly run break.
04:30That's as badly as you can run.
04:32It's all about two-on-one.
04:33It's all about decision-making.
04:35Reeves for three.
04:36And throwing it down.
04:38Into a travel.
04:39Instead, it's back to Jackson.
04:42Here comes Garland.
04:43Now done.
04:44Set fire.
04:45Got it.
04:47You know, last night we talked about Austin Reeves and no turnovers.
04:51Don't really want to say it, but it's part of the game.
04:54Has seven turnovers tonight.
05:00Look out.
05:02From Kentucky University.
05:05He's really there for a defensive impact.
05:08Reeves no.
05:08All Arabia right there in the putback weak side.
05:12Rolls around and comes out.
05:13And Reeves has control of the carom.
05:17Grimes.
05:18Tribal.
05:18Townsend shoots.
05:19Jones Jr.
05:20Did it seem like he ran six out of eight.
05:23But his first official shot.
05:25You don't converse to shy.
05:27Convert.
05:28That's right.
05:29That's what I'm saying.
05:29Official shot.
05:30Grimes.
05:31Once again.
05:32A slow break as the Lakers get back defensively.
05:35Garland trying to work on LaRavia.
05:38Bear Jones Jr.
05:39Spinning the other way.
05:40All the way.
05:40That's a pretty good move.
05:41But he can't finish.
05:42It's tapped up and in.
05:45As Stu said, we had ourselves a ball game for a while.
05:47But not right now.
05:48All they strip him.
05:50Reeves another turnover.
05:52And Jones Jr.
05:54Sets into Garland.
05:55The former backcourt mates.
05:58Kabukatashvili.
05:59Backing in.
05:59Backing in.
06:00Going to lean in now.
06:01Fired it up and in.
06:09All the way.
06:10No defense.
06:13Wadler Jones.
06:15Ditch Garland and Lopez.
06:17For the Clips.
06:19Sexton bumps it on man.
06:22That's an add one.
06:24And he'll let out a little emotion.
06:26Collin Sexton looks with a three-point play.
06:31Sexton trying to drill it.
06:33Long shot.
06:33Long rebound.
06:35Mamukatashvili.
06:39Instead, it's going to go right back to Grimes.
06:41A minute 25.
06:42Clock running.
06:43Collin's going to shoot it.
06:44You know what's going on.
06:45There it is.
06:47Collin Sexton.
06:48And if he gets the ball again, it's going up.
06:52Grimes looks for him.
06:53Here he goes.
06:54All the way.
06:54Lay it up and in.
06:55And the foul.
06:59All right.
06:59Brook says, wait a minute.
07:02Whatever Brook's saying it.
07:04I don't think.
07:05Made a little bit of sense, I guess.
07:06I thought Brook's was going over to help.
07:09Corner.
07:10Grady Dix.
07:12Working on Arabia.
07:13Bounce.
07:14Stolen.
07:15Mamukatashvili.
07:16He's going to take it the distance.
07:17Heels!
07:22With three, with two, with one.
07:24That'll count if it goes.
07:25And it does go!
07:27That'll count for...
07:32Lopez.
07:33Boy, the double team can't quit.
07:35And they found him immediately.
07:37I think they give chicken sandwiches.
07:39To everybody in the state of California.
07:41No, the entire western region.
07:43Well, stolen.
07:45Here he goes.
07:46Look out.
07:48Defense, offense again for number five.
07:51Going.
07:52Kind of minimal when you think about it.
07:53It's a back-to-back situation.
07:55That was a four-shot.
07:56Up ahead of the pack is Walker.
07:58Kessler.
08:00And neither one of them are Austin Reed's or Luka.
08:05Or Kessler.
08:11And that's a two-on-oh.
08:15Laid up at end.
08:17Oh, no.
08:18Yes.
08:18Okay.
08:18Yes.
08:19Season is amazing.
08:20Yeah, a lot of teams in the...
08:25I wouldn't say struggle mode.
08:27But then the little broom, the dryer, whatever you want to call it.
08:30With the mop.
08:31That's not the dryer.
08:35He got up and recovers back for the defense.
08:40Martinelli is in.
08:41Wearing number 12 for the Clippers underneath.
08:43Fucked by Kessler.
08:44Get it out of here.
08:46Here there's a little broom, the dryer, whatever you want to call it.
08:49With the mop.
08:50That's not the dryer.
08:54Going down, though.
08:56Bahardi, remember he came over from Dallas.
09:00No, from Washington in that DeAndre Ayton deal.
09:04Formerly from Dallas.
09:12Mamu trying to get into the lane.
09:14Does.
09:14Forces it up and in.
09:16Mamu killed.
09:17It makes perfect sense.
09:19Nice win.
09:20Good back-to-back win.
09:22Yeah, especially when you're without two of your starters.
09:24Yep.
09:28And play good defense, too.
