Is Halloween against the Bible? In this 60-second Christian video, we examine what Deuteronomy 18:10–12, Galatians 5:19–21, Ephesians 5:11, and Romans 12:2 teach about spiritual discernment and Christian living.

Although the Bible does not mention modern Halloween by name, its teachings can help Christians reflect on the practices they choose to embrace.

Watch, reflect on the Scriptures, and share your perspective respectfully.

00:00Did you know the Bible never mentions Halloween by name?
00:03But does that mean Christians should celebrate it?
00:06In Deuteronomy 18, verses 10 to 12,
00:10God warns His people against witchcraft, divination, and attempts to contact the dead.
00:16In Galatians 5, verses 19 to 21,
00:20practices involving sorcery are listed among the works of the flesh.
00:23And in Ephesians 5, verse 11,
00:26Christians are told to have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness,
00:31but rather expose them.
00:33So does this mean every Halloween activity is sinful?
00:37Not necessarily.
00:38The Bible does not directly address modern Halloween celebrations.
00:42Christians should examine what they participate in,
00:45whether it honors God, and whether it conflicts with their faith.
00:49The real question isn't just about costumes, candy, or pumpkins.
00:53It's about the values and practices we choose to embrace.
00:58Remember, Romans 12, verse 2,
01:00calls believers not to conform to the world,
01:03but to be transformed by renewing their minds.
01:06So before celebrating Halloween,
01:09ask yourself,
01:10does this bring me closer to God,
01:12or pull me away from Him?
01:13Right.
