00:00Well, let's celebrate life before the final goodbye, Joshua.
00:04Pag-uusapan natin itong nausong living funeral kasamang funeral events organizer
00:08na si Ms. Hazel Echuga Villamayor.
00:11Good morning po, Ms. Hazel.
00:12Good morning.
00:13Good morning, ma'am.
00:13Good morning.
00:19Okay, ang living funeral, it's not actually popular in the Philippines yet.
00:24Na-popularize lang siya because recently, Ate Gay indulged and materialized that opportunity for other people to know that.
00:36But here in the Philippines, it's not yet popular.
00:39More on celebration of life.
00:42So it's celebration of life kasi yun nga, giving life to funeral, mas yun ang naging not famous,
00:51but that's what the regular funeral is happening or doing right now.
00:58Paano ba?
01:03I just want to clear about the living funeral kasi nga, di ba, hindi naman siya ganun ka popular pa
01:10here in the Philippines.
01:11So the living funeral is technically, they're giving already an ecological program.
01:17The living funeral, sa akin, as a funeral event planner for 20 years, I call it the part wherein they
01:24celebrate the life through a necrological program.
01:30Having friends around, saying how good a person is kasi buhay pa naman.
01:38Buhay pa, okay.
01:39So yun yun.
01:40But, um, kung ako, kung sa akin, sigura I'm gonna call it a celebration of life but not a living
01:46funeral.
01:46Kasi yung part na yun, you can still, actually you can have that kind of program in a birthday, di
01:54ba, sa mga birthday, you say beautiful things, you say good things about your friend.
01:59So yun yun.
01:59So siguro nagkaroon lang ng parang, it's more interesting kasi nga, funeral, tapos i-dinikit siya sa adi Gay.
02:07Now we all know, it's out in the open that medyo, she suffered from, she's struggling as well, yeah.
02:14Oh yeah, she's struggling as well.
02:15So, it's actually good for her.
02:17Ati Gay, I know you, you know me, and I'm really happy that you did this and you heard the
02:23beautiful story.
02:24Okay, so ano pong pagkakaiba ng emotional atmosphere?
02:38Okay, so traditional funeral, definitely there's a casket or earl in front.
02:42Yes.
02:53So it helps the family to move forward and listen to the beautiful stories.
03:03or nagawa niya.
03:05Okay.
03:05So, so ngayon, if you're going to have a traditional, of course, the person you're celebrating life with is, wala
03:14na siya, hindi yan naririnig.
03:15In the living funeral, naririnig pa niya.
03:17But we can do it kasi everyday.
03:19Yes.
03:19That's a good word.
03:20Yeah, you don't need to wait for someone to get sick, someone to die, for you to appreciate the life
03:27of that certain person.
03:28Tamang nga naman yun.
03:29Diba, so everyday you can say, I love you, you're so good, you're beautiful.
03:32So yun lang naman yun.
03:34As of, ano ah, coming from me as a funeral celebrant.
03:38Yes.
03:38Okay.
03:45The living funeral?
03:46Oh, the living funeral.
03:47The living funeral.
03:49Actually, I have one.
03:50Organizing it.
03:51I have one who already requested that.
03:53Sabi ko, I'm actually talking them out of it kasi, sabi ko, you can get the good words everyday.
04:01So, why not, sorry, why not plan na lang for your final event?
04:07Kasi this will be the memory that you're going to leave behind for your family.
04:10Okay.
04:11So it's, kumbaga parang, kasi I'm more into a planner eh.
04:15So, di ba, Filipino, something happened, hindi mo alam nangyayari.
04:20In as much as you prepared for something, hindi mo pa rin alam ang gagawin kapag nangyayari yun.
04:27So it's the, kumbaga, preparing that final, yung totoo nang, hindi living funeral, preparing the funeral talaga,
04:34is actually, um, it's a sign of love for your family na iiwan kasi you're not going to engage them
04:45into stress.
04:46Oo, tama rin yan.
04:47Into what they're going to do when that time comes.
04:49So planning a funeral is actually what, it's my advocacy.
04:53You plan your funeral.
04:54Okay.
04:54In as much as you plan your birthday.
04:56Okay.
04:56Plan your funeral.
04:57It comes anytime.
04:58How soon na kailan mong planuhin yan?
05:01Di ba, yan.
05:02Paano mo malalaman yun?
05:04Yung mga promos ba na dapat i-avail, ganyan?
05:07Oo, may ba.
05:08Gusto mo daw ba yung take one?
05:10Mayroon ka gano'n tapos one week, no?
05:12Yung mga ito.
05:13One week.
05:13Ay, kasi parang i-anticipate mo.
05:15Yan ang isang ano.
05:16And also, it's somehow, it gives the message na you're giving up hope eh, na parang gano'n eh.
05:25Parang gano'n eh.
05:26Oo, yun, yun, yeah.
05:28That's why I, technically, I really don't use the living funeral.
05:32I use the celebration of life na lang.
05:34It's more on celebrating life.
05:36Tama yun.
05:38Parang, okay, magbigay na tayo ngayon kasi alam natin, baka anytime mawala.
05:43So, when I talk, when I talk them, how I talk them out of it, I just tell them, you
05:49celebrate your birthday.
05:51Celebrate your daily.
05:52Celebrate every wine.
05:53Open a bottle of wine.
05:54Don't wait up for a special occasion because we don't know.
05:58Some people, they live 90 years, 100.
06:02Yes.
06:03Some people, they, the moment they enter to earthly life, nawawala agad.
06:09So, you, it is not like birthday that you know that there's a certain date that you're going to celebrate.
06:15Death is, it comes, it will come anytime.
06:17Yes, inevitable naman yan.
06:19Nobody can escape that.
06:20Taxes and death.
06:21So, that's why being aware lang siguro and just don't wait for it to happen.
06:26Just celebrate your life every day and make sure it's not, it's not going to hurt if you learn something
06:32about funeral.
06:34So, open your eyes, open your mind, open your eyes, open your heart, learn things about it.
06:41It doesn't mean that you're planning for it and it's going to happen.
06:44But at least, for your loved one, you're not, they're not going to be that miserable when you're that time.
06:55Um, it's like having a level.
06:57Okay.
06:58So, when you have an event for a birthday, a wedding, or type business, or whatever event, it's just the
07:04same.
07:05You just add it in the funeral setup.
07:08But for some family, kasi they realize, parang, ay, mas nakagura pala kami, or mas maayos ito.
07:15Kasi, yes, sometimes you pay too much.
07:31Tapos, you don't have any options.
07:33Because, kung nasan ka na, yun na lang.
07:36So, when you plan ahead, when you learn things about the funeral,
07:39when you learn things about celebration of life,
07:42nagkakaroon ka ngayon ng, ay, gusto ko ng ganito.
07:44Sige, ikaw na mismo magpa-plan.
07:46Again, it doesn't mean that you're planning, you want to die anytime soon.
07:50But, you're getting ready for something that we don't know.
07:53O, o, but it's gonna happen.
07:55O, Ms. Cecil, bahala ka na sa amin, ah.
07:57Absolutely, diba?
07:58If the time comes, alam mo yun.
08:01Possible ba yung, Ms. Cecil, alimbawa, magkakaroon ako ng celebration of life,
08:13Yes, I'm not gonna mention, but yes.
08:15May mga ganun sila, and they just say goodbye quietly.
08:18Para good memory yung...
08:19Yes, they want to be remembered the way they were dancing during the event.
08:23Yes, yes.
08:24During the event, yung presence.
08:26Tapos yung, kasi diba, we don't want to see our loved one suffer.
08:30Yes.
08:30We don't want to see our loved one die.
08:33Tapos yung memory...
08:34And, I'm not sure if you heard this in a funeral, parang, I don't want to look at the casket
08:39because I just want to remember.
08:40Yes, yes.
08:41Diba may mga ganun?
08:42Yes, yung partner niya.
08:43So, yun siguro ang iniiwasan natin, or maiiwasan natin for the family na maalala when you're...
08:51May ganun eh.
08:52Gusto nila naaalala nila yung tao nung buhay pa.
08:55Ayan nila makita na nakakita.
08:56So yun, possible yun.
08:58They can have a party, they can have a celebration of life.
09:00And, just saying a quiet goodbye after.
09:02Oo, parang emotional na ito.
09:04Oh, emotional.
09:04Pag inisip mo yung ano.
09:05Yes.
09:06Hindi na yun.
09:07But, it's better to be prepared.
09:09Yes.
09:10Totoo yan.
09:10Para sa iyo sa pamilya.
09:11Always prepare, prepare.
09:12Okay.
09:15Kasi magpa-organize.
09:17Ito, diba?
09:18Why not?
09:19I...
09:19You can find me in all, I think, all social media platforms.
09:24Angel's Funeral Events Planner.
09:26And, recently, I have a TikTok.
09:30Okay.
09:31But, it's not Angel's Funeral.
09:33It's Angel Hazel with wings.
09:35Okay.
09:41Okay.
09:42Idea of how you're going to do it.
09:43Kunyari, if you want to DIY it.
09:45Okay.
09:46Tsaka may theme theme.
09:47Kanyang birthday.
09:49Thank you very much, Ma'am Hazel.
09:51Natsuga beli mo yours sa ating naging talakayan ngayong araw nito.
09:56Miss Angel.
