00:00Tonight will be just the sixth time out of those 25 in which a game made it to a fifth
00:06opportunity, never gone to a game six or seven when a team is trailed 3-0 in the World Series.
00:15So that would be a first here, but that's the goal is just win one game at a time.
00:21And knowing that, you know, Murph last night, I was with you, I wasn't sure what he was
00:27doing with McGill for five pitches.
00:30I don't know what that was.
00:31The whole drug going to Drohan, I get it, but it seemed like he could have stuck with
00:36Sensitale there for a little more.
00:39Mizorowski doesn't go more than five, but he's got plus money at 15 and a half outs here
00:43tonight.
00:44So do we try to, if we're going to push him, right?
00:47Is this the game that we go to push him here, Greg, to get it done and be done with
00:52this
00:52all together?
00:54It's really hard to say, and I don't think it's a matter of pushing him.
00:57It's just a matter of understanding that he's a strikeout pitcher, and it's just harder
01:02for some of these guys to hit their props because there's always going to be three, four pitches
01:06involved.
01:07He doesn't pitch to contact almost ever, Joe.
01:09He's always looking for a strike one, strike two, strike three.
01:12So that builds up a pitch count, and it makes it more difficult to go through the lineup two,
01:16three plus times.
01:17So I probably would lean under toward that again.
01:20And it could be nothing, nothing at that point.
01:23But yeah, Joe, I don't think it's about pushing.
01:26I just think it's when you have a pitcher of his caliber, you prefer the guy to get all
01:31the swings and misses than to go deeper into the game because you sort of feel like you
01:34could get somebody else that could come in and pump 98 and get more strikeouts too.
01:38That's just the nature of the game at this point.
01:40So, you know, five, six innings at most, I think, from Mizorowski again tonight.
01:46Yeah, I mean, listen, the middle relievers is the big problem right now.
01:51Maybe a little bit of fatigue starting to set in there for the Brewers.
01:54So I'm wondering, maybe they give him an upright.
01:58Listen, can you go?
01:58Because I don't even think he sniffed 100 pitches, right?
02:01Craig, in this, in these four and five, I don't think he's even come close to 100 pitches
02:06in any of these.
02:07So it's really been more situationally third time through the order where he's kind of
02:12utilized the bullpen when best there.
02:16Didn't strike out a ton of guys in game one, by the way.
02:20What do you have?
02:21Three strikeouts for the Brewers?
02:22So, but I don't think he hit 80 pitches in that one.
02:26So I'm wondering, maybe you save an arm or two and say, hey, can you go out there and
02:30get us three more outs?
02:32It'll be interesting to see where he goes.
02:35But his closer is available.
02:37I don't know what the whole five pitch McGill outing was last night, but I'm guessing he
02:43can be available to go longer if he needs him here tonight and late in the game.
02:48Yeah, maybe early in the game, maybe like Tampa Bay did bring it in early.
02:52Yeah, maybe that is more of what Milwaukee may do to sort of solidify things.
02:56But look, I feel what you're saying, Joe, it just feels like we set ourselves up for this
03:00every time.
03:01And then every time the managers go to the bullpen, you know, like it doesn't matter what
03:05we think that they just always after four innings are like, that's it, go to the bullpen.
03:09The only way that you get it, get kind of if you go unscathed through five, six innings.
03:14Yes, Joe, if he doesn't give up a run, he only gives up one hit.
03:17Yes, I think that there is a chance that he goes deeper, but you would expect five innings,
03:21two runs, five innings, one run.
03:23And then you're going to see Romero or somebody else warming up in the bullpen.
03:27And then that's going to be it.
03:28I mean, the other thing is tonight is Woodruff a possibility for the Brewers.
03:33That's an interesting name after everything yesterday.
03:35Yeah, like that is an interesting name to see what role he would play.
03:40Could he play the eighth inning role today, Joe?
03:42Could he play the seventh inning role?
03:43I think there's a chance of that happening today.
03:45I got my eye on that.
03:47Yeah, well, you're also going to have guys like Matz and Clevenger and Seltzer.
03:53On the other side.
03:54Some of these pitchers, yeah, on the other side, they're going to be rolling out or not
03:58good.
03:58But listen, give them guys all the credit in the world for limiting the offense last
04:04night.
04:04Absolutely.
04:05What we thought was a two-horse race in the MVP, Craig.
04:09Like we said, the Pratt was, it kept showing, I love they kept going to Robin Yount, who was
04:15in the ballpark last night.
04:17They kept going to him and showing, you know, him and Yount, of course, the shortstop and
04:22the franchise for as many years, a Hall of Famer.
04:26And I mean, this kid is just absolute nails at what, 22 years old?
04:31But he had the kind of night that MVPs are won on.
04:35But it'll be interesting because now what seemed like a two-horse race might, depending
04:40offensively, who has the best night, might have an opportunity to win that award here from
04:45Milwaukee.
04:46I think you're absolutely right.
04:48I think Pratt put himself into the conversation.
04:50You can't eliminate Chorio from the conversation.
04:52And then Wilson Contreras was the favorite.
04:54So, yeah, Joe, to your point, two hits tonight, two RBIs out of one of those three, that guy's
05:00probably the MVP of the World Series.
05:03I totally agree with you there.
05:05You know, the only thing would be is what if one of those guys had a really good night
05:07and the Rays won?
05:09Then all of a sudden, we're headed toward another game.
05:13So, but yeah, look, Pratt was not a part of the conversation until yesterday.
05:17But then again, this is how it changes so quickly in the MVP.
05:20And we've seen this before.
05:21I remember when, I think it was Jalen Brown ended up winning the MVP of the finals one
05:25year.
05:26He was like 20 to one or something.
05:28And then all of a sudden, by the end, he was the favorite to win the MVP.
05:31So, yeah, let's see what happens tonight.
05:32It's a good dart throw, Joe.
05:34I would say that.
05:34Yeah, if you want to take a shot on Pratt, or better yet, what about Jackson Chorio showing
05:39up in the biggest moment tonight, maybe hitting a home run, then all of a sudden, he would
05:43win.
05:43So, not a two-horse race anymore.
05:45It's definitely three.
