00:00Huitil is terrifying. I cannot disrespect this god.
00:03Please, Huitzid, mighty god of war, spare our city.
00:06Forgive Malin and Zuma.
00:07They were selfish and short-sighted when they ruined your sacrifice.
00:15Who are you to pray for the sin of another?
00:29I'm so sorry, my lord. What will you do?
00:31If you will not offer an appropriate sacrifice willingly,
00:35I will take all the sacrifices I desire from your people until my anger is satisfied.
00:42Unless an even more appealing sacrifice can be made instead, like you.
00:48You want me to be your sacrifice, my lord?
00:51Yes. I need a blood and body tribute.
00:57To do with as I please.
01:02But I don't want to die.
01:05You have no choice.
01:08Now that I've seen your radiant soul, I must possess it.
01:13Either sacrifice yourself willingly and save your city.
01:19Or I will rain hell down and take you anyway.
01:31That death and destruction is what will happen if you refuse.
01:35I will come for you soon.
01:37You may choose how.
01:59This fertile soil from El Popo will prime you for your wedding to our son, Zuma, tomorrow.
02:05Zuma, marrying you is my life's ultimate purpose.
02:09Marlene, fetch Zuma's gift for Theo.
02:20Please accept this necklace as a token of my love.
02:23Each bead was taken from a different moment in our lives together.
02:25Put it on her.
02:30How nice it must be for you, sister, to be the bride, not expendable like me.
02:40Teo, you should go clean yourself in the bathhouse.
02:43We will have your bed made with fresh sheets for your last night unwed.
02:54This memory is from when I was five years old.
02:57But the marriage was not arranged until we were eleven.
03:00He must have always known we were destined, as I did.
03:03I don't want to die!
03:05You can save me, Zuma!
03:16I'm to be sacrificed to the god of war on your wedding day.
03:19But if you take my virginity, the offering of my body will be rejected and I'll be saved.
03:24Malin, to do so would curse our city.
03:29Can you watch me die after seeing me so exposed?
03:36You can have me whenever you want.
03:39Even after you're married to my sister.
03:42If there are nights she cannot please you, then I will satisfy your every need.
03:57How dare you betray me like this?
04:12What an unfit sacrifice.
04:20I will ruin their city to remind them not to toy with me.
04:25How dare you betray me like this?
04:30Who are you?
04:37You mock Witsel with your actions, Zuma.
04:40And you mock me as your future wife.
04:43Of all people, my own sister?
04:46Mind your tone, sister.
04:51Don't make a fuss over this, Teo.
04:52It changes nothing for us.
04:58It changes everything, Zuma.
05:00You have had sex with my sister before me.
05:02And you have put your own people at risk.
05:05She was born to be a sacrifice.
05:06That was always my sister's fate.
05:08What do you know of sacrifice, Teo?
05:10Do you even know how they do it?
05:11They keep you alive while they cut your chest open so Witsel can see that your heart is pure.
05:15Would you cut yourself open for your people?
05:17You've never even cut back an hour of sleep.
05:19Since you've already taken my sister, you can keep her.
05:22Marry her instead.
05:23I will leave the palace and never stand before you again.
05:26You're my future bride.
05:27You do what I say, and I say we're still getting married.
05:31Do you even love me?
05:32Of course I do.
05:33Love and sex are different.
05:36As emperor, I will take many concubines, but you are the only one who will stand beside me as my
05:41wife.
05:42I can get his body on my own, but to make him toss her aside, I'll have to use sorcery.
05:47But I can't get caught or they'll execute me for witchcraft.
05:52No.
05:53Now that I've tasted your sister, she's the one I truly crave.
05:56He's mine now, along with his empire.
06:13You gave yourself to me willingly, but to make sure you stay willing, I'll keep you under my spell.
06:22Yes, my love.
06:42The god of war knows his sacrifice defied him.
06:45By betraying me, my betrothed and my sister have damned us all to a terrible fate.
06:50I have to plead for mercy.
07:15Huitil is terrifying.
07:17I cannot disrespect this god.
07:19Please, Huitzid, mighty god of war, spare our city.
07:21Forgive Malin and Zuma.
07:23They were selfish and short-sighted when they ruined your sacrifice.
07:30Who are you to pray for the sin of another?
07:44I'm so sorry, my lord.
07:46What will you do?
07:47If you will not offer an appropriate sacrifice willingly,
07:50I will take all the sacrifices I desire from your people until my anger is satisfied.
07:58Unless an even more appealing sacrifice can be made instead, like you.
08:04You want me to be your sacrifice, my lord?
08:07Yes.
08:08I need a blood and body tribute.
08:13To do with as I please.
08:18But I don't want to die.
08:21You have no choice.
08:23Now that I've seen your radiant soul, I must possess it.
08:28Either sacrifice yourself willingly and save your city.
08:35Or I will rain hell down and take you anyway.
08:46That death and destruction is what will happen if you refuse.
08:50I will come for you soon.
08:52You may choose how.
09:00Teo, you cannot be serious.
09:03Why would you offer to switch with your sister and be our sacrifice?
09:06Because I am still a virgin.
09:08And my sister is not.
09:13What do you mean?
09:14Who has had her?
09:16Your son.
09:17My betrothed.
09:19Zuma.
09:25It can't be.
09:27Zuma's only ever loved you.
09:28It doesn't matter now.
09:30Zuma took Malin's sacred gift.
09:32So he can marry her in my place.
09:34I will be sacrificed to the god of war, Huitzul, in her place.
09:37We can't allow you to do that.
09:39We've invested too much in you as our son's bride.
09:42It would be wasted if you are sacrificed.
09:44I will not marry Zuma, and Huitzul still requires a sacrifice.
09:47This is the best path forward.
09:48We must conceal Teo's identity during the sacrifice, as well as Malin's.
09:54Huitzul and Zuma expect different brides.
09:58We will host the wedding and sacrificial ceremonies at the same time, three days from now.
10:03And the identities of the blood offering and the bride shall remain a secret to all.
10:08Teo, prepare a sacrificial headdress and mask for yourself.
10:11I will have a bridal covering made for your sister.
10:16Zuma, I hope you are sure of your choice.
10:19Because once I'm gone, you can't change your mind.
10:26They haven't cancelled Malin's sacrificial ceremony yet.
10:29She may yet still be offered up to Weedseal.
10:32Malin is not going to be sacrificed.
10:34You made sure of that by taking her virginity.
10:41How could you be angry?
10:43I did this for you.
10:44She's your sister, and I saved her.
10:48And when you warm her bed after our marriage, what reason will you give then?
10:54Don't be naive.
10:56Every emperor has concubines.
10:58You didn't expect to be the only woman I taste for the rest of my life, did you?
11:04You're right.
11:04I was naive.
11:06I'd hoped I'd be enough.
11:08But my own sister?
11:10Don't you see how wrong that is?
11:13Then make sure you satisfy me day and night, and I won't touch her again.
11:19You told me she's the only one you crave now.
11:22I never said that.
11:30But Malin is superior to you in every way.
11:32I wish she'd been the one chosen as my empress, and you were the sacrifice.
11:35Zuma, my dear.
11:37Be kind to Teo.
11:38She's not strong enough for this harsh world.
11:44Get back to work.
11:45Your wedding is soon.
11:48You mock me.
11:49I won't have it.
11:53Teo!
11:54Why must you be so violent?
11:56Apologize to your sister, Teo.
11:58I won't let you treat her this way.
12:01I don't understand, Zuma.
12:03How can you talk to me like this?
12:05Have you forgotten all our moments together?
12:12You're a jealous, spiteful girl, and I'm ashamed to be engaged to you.
12:17Apologize now, or I'll get the whip and lash you until you do.
12:25I would rather die than apologize.
12:27Don't yell at her, Zuma.
12:28She was raised to be above me.
12:30Even if she hurt me on purpose, it's my lot in life to have such abuse.
12:33You blame me for doing what I did to save Malon?
12:36But look at what a good person she is.
12:38I wish I was marrying her instead.
12:41Do you know, Zuma?
12:43You'll get your wish soon enough.
12:48I was meant to help rule over my people.
12:50Instead, I must die for them.
12:56Still pouting?
12:57You've made enough of a show.
12:58You can drop the act now.
12:59He still thinks Maline's fall was all my fault.
13:01I gathered the beads and restrung this.
13:03Next time, take better care of the gifts I give you.
13:06Take better care?
13:07When you're the one who broke it?
13:08Stop making everything a fight.
13:10Turn around so I can put it on you.
13:19Do I get a thank you for fixing your necklace for you?
13:25Still trying to win him back?
13:27I will enchant him for as long as it takes to destroy you, Teo.
13:33Now that you have your necklace back, I must go find Malin.
13:36I want to enjoy her body as much as I can before I'm forced to marry you.
13:43I want to enjoy her body as much as I can before I'm forced to marry you.
13:56I want to enjoy her body as much as I can before I'm forced to marry you.
13:57Got one.
13:58This will be the perfect pig to roast for tomorrow's wedding.
14:05Such a violent slaughter.
14:07And yet, more merciful than mine will be tomorrow.
14:13My death will not be quick.
14:16I will be kept alive, chest open for as long as I can bear it.
14:22Sometimes it takes hours for Huitzil to determine your worthiness and end your suffering,
14:26your heart exposed all the while.
14:31Is this really my last stroll in the garden?
14:35Every one of my life's fondest moments bloomed alongside the flowers in this garden.
14:48What happened to Zuma?
14:50We were raised to love each other.
14:51But now he's with my sister?
14:53One minute he is kind, the next cruel.
14:56Does he even want to marry me anymore?
14:58Who has Zuma become?
14:59What does a future look like with a man like that?
15:07What does a future look like with a man like that?
15:11I would rather die a horrible death than be married to a man who burns for my sister.
15:22Teo, I am here to escort you to the ceremonial vesti for your wedding preparations.
15:43Claw marks.
15:46If I die instantly, I can escape a slow, painful death.
15:55Why have they brought me here?
15:56I cannot be sacrificed.
15:59Let me remind you, your groom so selflessly took my virginity.
16:05Yes, Malene.
16:06Which is why he deserves you as his bride.
16:09I will be Huitzil's sacrifice.
16:14You'd rather your chest split open
16:15than watch your one and only love desire me
16:18for the rest of your woteful life.
16:21Smart decision, sister.
16:23Too bad there's no way you have the guts to follow through.
16:39You should put it on me, sister dear.
16:42Of course, sister.
16:51Solid gold.
16:52Much more precious than your drabby, beaded one.
17:06This is it.
17:07I'm about to be sacrificed to the god of war.
17:14It's time.
17:15My groom's lust leads him down the aisle to wed my sister
17:18and I shoulder the sacrifice of our city,
17:20offering my life to the god of war.
17:40The emperor and empress decided to keep it a secret
17:42that my sister and I switched places.
17:45I never got to say goodbye to Zuma.
17:58We bind your clothing as a sign of your marital bonds
18:02and public promise to share one body, one heart, one soul.
18:08You may not remove her mask until the ceremony is finished.
18:14Something feels off.
18:16Why can't I see Teo's face?
18:24Malin?
18:26Why are you standing before me as my bride?
18:29Where is Teo?
18:30Zuma.
18:32This was your doing.
18:34You made Malin unfit to be sacrificed
18:36by giving her the knowledge of your flesh.
18:38Now she is yours forever.
18:40I never wanted Malin as my bride.
18:43I only ever wanted Teo.
18:46Where is she?
19:02You choose to give yourself to me.
19:05Teo, no!
19:07No!
19:25You will not escape me that easily.
19:29You will not escape me that easily.
19:51What are you doing to Zuma?
19:52Stop!
19:53I'll stop when you agree to obey me.
20:00Okay, stop.
20:01Stop.
20:03I'll obey you, God of War.
20:07We shall see.
20:20Every ounce of him is war-hardened muscle.
20:22He's a divine killer,
20:24and yet I feel so safe in his arms
20:26until he decides to use them against me.
20:38This is my realm.
20:40You are the first human here.
20:41The first living one, at least.
20:45Why did you bring me here?
20:53There is nothing like this on Earth.
20:55Whatever he has planned for me,
20:57I'm glad I got to see this first.
20:59Yes, enjoy it as much as you can.
21:02He has never shown mercy like this.
21:05Makes me think he has something
21:06particularly brutal in store.
21:08We will have a lot of cleaning to do later.
21:11She is small.
21:12She cannot have that much blood in her.
21:21Planning to leave so soon?
21:30You intend to kill a god in his own home
21:32with his own weapon?
21:34I just want the right to die peacefully.
21:37I am your sacrifice, not your toy.
21:52Enjoy me how?
21:56How does a man enjoy a woman normally, Teo?
22:02You're going to take my virginity.
22:09No.
22:10No.
22:18Elwyn's spiritual power is unmatched,
22:21and her heart is kind and merciful.
22:23By decree of the human emperor,
22:25she is hereby named Chieftain of the Elves.
22:29God bless the emperor.
22:32We pledge our lives to the Chieftain.
22:35Elwyn,
22:35you're only being crowned Chieftain today
22:37because you're my wife,
22:38because of the power I gave you.
22:40You obey me always.
22:42Never forget that.
22:52That's the soul-devouring blade.
22:55It doesn't just kill.
22:56It severs an elf's immortal soul,
22:59vanquishes it completely.
23:01Viara,
23:02why?
23:03You're my sister.
23:04Your sister?
23:06If we're sisters,
23:07then why do you get to marry the Grand Sorcerer,
23:10win the emperor's favor,
23:11and become Chieftain of the Elves,
23:14all while I get handed off to some nobody human
23:16and spend my whole life being trampled on?
23:18Do you know how unfair that is?
23:20Viara,
23:21you only see what's in the surface.
23:41If I get another chance at life,
23:45I don't want to be my family's tool anymore.
23:49I just want to lead an ordinary,
23:51simple existence.
24:03Today is the day of our most sacred ritual,
24:06the soul-bonding ceremony.
24:09Today, you both come of age.
24:12What's happening?
24:13Have I been reborn?
24:16Your soul marks have awakened,
24:18and they'll guide you to your eternal companion.
24:21I...
24:22I've really been reborn.
24:24Back to where it all began.
24:26I'm back at the soul-bonding ceremony.
24:32This time,
24:33I'm changing what the soul mark picks.
24:35I'm bonding with the Grand Sorcerer.
24:37She's using dark magic to change the soul mark's choice.
24:41She...
24:42She was reborn too?
24:44Oh, Viara.
24:45All that effort.
24:46And you don't even realise
24:47you've walked straight into the Grand Sorcerer's lair.
24:54Elwynn.
24:58This time,
24:58I'll be the one who marries the Grand Sorcerer,
25:00and once he reclaims his power,
25:02I'll be the most powerful woman
25:03in the entire kingdom.
25:05She...
25:14Did you see that?
25:15Lady Viara's soul mark chose the Grand Sorcerer.
25:21Viara,
25:22you've made our people proud today.
25:24Everything I do is for our people, Mother.
25:26Once I bond with the Grand Sorcerer,
25:28I'll devote everything I have to the elves.
25:30Sister,
25:32aren't you happy for me?
25:35Of course, Viara.
25:37I'm very happy for you.
25:40The life that should have been yours
25:42is mine now, Elwynn.
25:43And this time,
25:45I will keep you under my heel.
25:46Forever.
25:50Wait.
25:51Is that...
25:53Your Majesty!
25:54Your Majesty!
25:55Your amulet is glowing.
25:57This is the sign
25:58your fated one has appeared.
26:00But Your Majesty,
26:01the Demon King is steering,
26:03the entire realm could fall at any moment.
26:05The Elders are begging for your return.
26:06You're the Supreme King.
26:07Only you can break the Undead Legion curse
26:09and reclaim the throne.
26:11Without my fainted one,
26:12I can't break that curse.
26:13So until I find her,
26:15I'm not going back.
26:16Come on!
26:17The hairs!
26:18They're about to get matched!
26:19The hairs?
26:20Let's go take a look.
26:22Back to you.
26:24Last time,
26:25my soul mark had to choose
26:26that lowborn ranger.
26:28And I was mocked for it
26:29my entire life.
26:31This time,
26:31I'm giving every bit
26:32of that humiliation
26:33back to you.
26:37Your turn, sister.
26:39Relax.
26:40The spirit bird
26:40never makes a mistake.
26:42I'm sure it'll find someone
26:44perfectly suited for you.
26:54I'm sorry.
27:07It's him.
27:11It's him.
27:12The ranger Vera
27:13abandoned last life.
27:15Did you see that?
27:16Lady Vera's soul mark
27:17chose the grand sorcerer.
27:18But Lady Elowyn's mark,
27:19it picked a human.
27:20And not just any human.
27:22Look at him.
27:23Well, well,
27:23now she's stuck.
27:24Defying the soul mark
27:25is sacrilege,
27:26a stain on her reputation.
27:27That's the most pitiful-looking,
27:29magic-lacking ranger
27:30I've ever seen.
27:30Then who would ever
27:31associate with her?
27:32Or the chieftain's family?
27:42What's done is done,
27:43Mother.
27:43Don't take it too hard.
27:44The ranger's status may be low,
27:46but at least his face
27:47isn't hideous.
27:47Core Elwyn, though.
27:48Pampered her whole life,
27:49and now she's stuck
27:50with that crude mortal.
27:51She'll have to do
27:52everything herself
27:52from here on out.
27:53Elowyn!
27:54How can an elven heir
27:55bond with a mortal?
27:57Look at your sister.
27:58Her soul mark
27:59chose the grand sorcerer.
28:01Your heart must be corrupted
28:02for your mark
28:02to choose that human.
28:04You've brought shame
28:05on the entire elven race.
28:06With respect, chieftain,
28:08the right is ordained
28:09by the gods.
28:09Once the mark
28:10makes the choice,
28:11the bond cannot be defied.
28:12If an heir rejects
28:13her soul mark
28:14before all her people,
28:15it is sacrilege.
28:16By ancient law,
28:17she must be cast
28:18out of the elves,
28:19barred from this temple
28:20for all eternity.
28:22Except the mortal
28:22and she's shamed for life.
28:23Defy the mark
28:24and she's exiled.
28:25What choice
28:25does she even have?
28:26No matter what you choose,
28:27Elowyn,
28:28you lose.
28:29This life,
28:30you will never rise
28:31above me again.
28:32What they see
28:33as a trap,
28:34I see as a way out.
28:35The immortal glory
28:37from my last life,
28:38I don't want
28:39a single moment
28:40of it again.
28:41No one needs
28:42to force me.
28:43The soul mark
28:44has made the choice
28:45and I accept it.
28:47I, Elowyn,
28:48choose to bond
28:49with this mortal.
28:50Elowyn!
28:53Do you have any idea
28:54what it costs
28:55to bond with a mortal?
28:56Your magic fades,
28:58little by little.
28:59Your life span shrinks
29:01to match a human's.
29:02You'd be trading eternity
29:04for a wasted,
29:05miserable life.
29:06My mind is made up,
29:07mother.
29:08So my fated queen
29:10is a pure-hearted,
29:12elven heir.
29:19I'm Elowyn.
29:21And you?
29:22Aldric.
29:23Just call me Aldric.
29:25My real name
29:26and my title
29:27better keep those
29:28buried for now.
29:28I just want to be
29:29an ordinary man
29:30in front of her.
29:31With every elf here
29:32as witness,
29:34I, Elowyn,
29:35take Aldric
29:36as my husband.
29:37You're an heir
29:38of the High Elves
29:39and I'm nothing
29:40but a lowly mortal.
29:40Are you truly willing
29:41to choose me?
29:42Even give up
29:43your immortality?
29:44Your magic?
29:46Is this really her?
29:47It has to be.
29:49Immortality is a gilded cage.
29:51Magic fades,
29:52years run short.
29:53But this land
29:53never fails those
29:54willing to live honestly
29:55and put in the work.
29:56No, it's just
29:57I've got no roof,
29:58no coin.
29:59Follow me
29:59and you might not
30:00even get a proper meal.
30:01You still want that?
30:02I'm not afraid
30:03of a hard life.
30:04If we work at it together,
30:05things will get better,
30:06little by little.
30:07I never wanted riches
30:08or immortality.
30:10I just want someone
30:10to build a life with.
30:11An elven heir,
30:12ready to give up
30:13everything for a mortal.
30:15Asking for nothing
30:16but a simple life.
30:17A life built
30:17with her own hands.
30:18I've never met anyone
30:19so easily content,
30:20so pure.
30:21Eloine.
30:23If you insist on this,
30:24don't come crying to me later.
30:26From this moment,
30:26every honor,
30:27every future the elves have,
30:28none of it is yours anymore.
30:29I know.
30:30I'm letting it go.
30:31The titles,
30:32the honors,
30:33all of it.
30:34A person's worth
30:35isn't measured
30:35by where they come from
30:36but by their heart.
30:37You...
30:37He may have nothing
30:38but he's honest
30:39and decent.
30:40Tell me,
30:41how is a man like that
30:42not good enough?
30:43I know exactly
30:44what I'm doing,
30:45Mother.
30:46Don't say I didn't
30:47warn you,
30:47Eloine.
30:48Tie yourself
30:49to this mortal
30:49and you'll spend
30:50the rest of your life
30:51beneath me.
30:52Worry about yourself
30:53first, Vera.
30:54Life at the Grand Sorcerer's side
30:55isn't as sweet
30:56as you think.
30:59Three days from now,
31:00come to the temple altar
31:02and receive the God's
31:04blessing with me.
31:05I'll be there.
31:06I promise.
31:08She has no idea
31:09who I am
31:10or what choosing me
31:11will pull her into
31:12but the amulet
31:13has marked her
31:14as my fated one
31:15and I
31:16will never let her go.
31:30Okay.
31:31This is fine.
31:33The union ritual
31:33is sacred.
31:34It's normal.
31:35I've lived through centuries.
31:36I've seen everything.
31:37This is not a big deal at all.
31:38Nope.
31:39Not doing that.
31:41Get your mind
31:41out of the gutter,
31:42Elwynn.
31:46Oh God.
31:47That size.
31:50Is that really normal
31:51for a human?
31:52How am I supposed to...
31:53Hey.
31:54We're married, you know.
31:56You're allowed to look.
32:10I just...
32:14What's this?
32:15It was my mother's.
32:16She passed it on to me
32:17before she died.
32:18It's been glowing
32:18since the moment I found you.
32:19I want you to have it.
32:25No.
32:26It's a keepsake
32:27from your late mother.
32:28It's too precious.
32:31Nothing in this world
32:32is more precious to me
32:33than you.
32:34Listen,
32:34there's something
32:35I should tell you.
32:36I'm not just some
32:37ordinary mortal girl.
32:39Your Majesty!
32:39Your presence
32:40is requested immediately!
32:44Your...
32:44Majesty?
32:52Oh, that's Tharion,
32:53my pet eagle.
32:54He spout nonsense
32:55all the time.
32:56Just ignore him.
33:05I just got word
33:06from home
33:06that a relative
33:07has fallen ill.
33:08It sounds serious.
33:09I need to go back.
33:10Go, go.
33:10Don't wait on my account.
33:12Go, go.
33:15Take care of yourself,
33:16okay?
33:17I'll be back soon.
33:22Stay here with her.
33:24Anything happens,
33:24you come find me.
33:36What are you?
34:02This fertile soil
34:03from El Popo
34:04will prime you
34:05for your wedding
34:06to our son,
34:07Zuma,
34:07tomorrow.
34:08Zuma,
34:09marrying you
34:09is my life's
34:10ultimate purpose.
34:12Malin,
34:13fetch Zuma's gift
34:14for Theo.
34:23Please accept
34:23this necklace
34:24as a token
34:24of my love.
34:25Each bead
34:26was taken
34:26from a different
34:26moment in our lives
34:27together.
34:28Put it on her.
34:32How nice
34:33it must be
34:33for you,
34:34sister,
34:34to be the bride,
34:35not expendable
34:36like me.
34:43Teo,
34:44you should go
34:44clean yourself
34:45in the bathhouse.
34:46We will have
34:46your bed made
34:46with fresh sheets
34:47for your last night
34:48unwed.
34:56This memory
34:57is from when
34:58I was five years old,
34:59but the marriage
35:00was not arranged
35:01until we were 11.
35:03He must have always
35:04known we were destined,
35:05as I did.
35:06I don't want
35:07to die.
35:07You can save me,
35:09Zuma!
35:19I'm to be sacrificed
35:20to the god of war
35:20on your wedding day.
35:21But if you take
35:22my virginity,
35:23the offering of my body
35:24will be rejected
35:25and I'll be saved.
35:27Malin,
35:27to do so
35:28would curse our city.
35:29I...
35:31Can you watch me die
35:33after seeing me
35:33so exposed?
35:39You can have me
35:40whenever you want,
35:42even after you're
35:43married to my sister.
35:45If there are nights
35:46she cannot please you,
35:47then I will satisfy
35:48your every need.
36:00How dare you
36:01betray me like
36:01this woman?
36:23I will ruin their city
36:25to remind them
36:27not to toy with me.
36:28How dare you
36:29betray me like this?
36:33Who are you?
36:40You mock Witzel
36:41with your actions,
36:42Zuma.
36:43And you mock me
36:44as your future wife.
36:45Of all people,
36:47my own sister?
36:49Mind your tone,
36:50sister.
36:53Don't make a fuss
36:54over this,
36:55Teo.
36:55It changes nothing
36:56for us.
37:00It changes everything,
37:02Zuma.
37:02You have had sex
37:03with my sister
37:04before me,
37:04and you have put
37:05your own people
37:06at risk.
37:07She was born
37:08to be a sacrifice.
37:09That was always
37:09my sister's fate.
37:11What do you know
37:11of sacrifice,
37:12Teo?
37:13Do you even know
37:13how they do it?
37:14They keep you alive
37:15while they cut
37:15your chest open
37:16so Witzel can see
37:17that your heart
37:17is pure.
37:18Would you cut yourself
37:19open for your people?
37:20You've never even
37:21cut back an hour
37:21of sleep.
37:22Since you've already
37:23taken my sister,
37:24you can keep her.
37:24Marry her instead.
37:25I will leave the palace
37:27and never stand
37:27before you again.
37:28You're my future bride.
37:30You do what I say
37:31and I say
37:31we're still getting married.
37:34Do you even love me?
37:35Of course I do.
37:36Love and sex
37:37are different.
37:39As emperor,
37:40I will take many concubines,
37:41but you are the only one
37:42who will stand beside me
37:43as my wife.
37:44I can get his body
37:45on my own,
37:46but to make him
37:47toss her aside,
37:48I'll have to use sorcery.
37:50But I can't get caught
37:51or they'll execute me
37:52for witchcraft.
37:54No.
37:55Now that I've tasted
37:56your sister,
37:57she's the one
37:57I truly crave.
37:59He's mine now,
38:00along with his empire.
38:16You gave yourself
38:17to me willingly.
38:20But to make sure
38:21you stay willing,
38:23I'll keep you
38:24under my spell.
38:25Yes, my love.
38:44The god of war
38:45knows his sacrifice
38:46defied him.
38:47By betraying me,
38:49my betrothed
38:49and my sister
38:50have damned us all
38:51to a terrible fate.
38:52I have to plead for mercy.
39:18Quetil is terrifying.
39:19I cannot disrespect
39:20this god.
39:21Please,
39:22mighty god of war.
39:23Spare our city.
39:24Forgive Malin and Zuma.
39:25They were selfish
39:26and short-sighted
39:27when they ruined
39:27your sacrifice.
39:33Who are you
39:34to pray
39:35for the sin
39:36of another?
39:47I'm so sorry,
39:48my lord.
39:48What will you do?
39:49If you will not
39:50offer an appropriate
39:51sacrifice willingly,
39:53I will take
39:54all the sacrifices
39:54I desire from your people
39:56until my anger
39:56is satisfied.
40:01Unless an even more
40:02appealing sacrifice
40:03can be made instead,
40:04like you.
40:07You want me
40:08to be your sacrifice,
40:09my lord?
40:10Yes.
40:11I need a blood
40:12and body tribute
40:16to do with
40:16as I please.
40:21But I don't
40:22want to die.
40:23You have
40:24no choice.
40:26Now that I've
40:27seen your radiant
40:28soul,
40:29I must possess it.
40:31Either sacrifice
40:32yourself willingly
40:33and save your city,
40:37or I will
40:38rain hell down
40:39and take you
40:40anyway.
40:41I will
40:49that death
40:50and destruction
40:51is what will
40:51happen if you
40:52refuse.
40:53I will come
40:54for you soon.
40:55You may choose
40:56how.
41:03Teo,
41:04you cannot
41:04be serious.
41:05Why would you
41:06offer to switch
41:07with your sister
41:08and be our sacrifice?
41:09Because I am
41:10still a virgin
41:11and my sister
41:12is not.
41:15what do
41:16you mean?
41:17Who has
41:18had her?
41:19Your son,
41:20my betrothed,
41:22Zuma.
41:28It can't
41:28be.
41:29Zuma's only
41:30ever loved you.
41:31It doesn't
41:31matter now.
41:32Zuma took
41:33Maling's sacred
41:34gift so he
41:35can marry her
41:35in my place.
41:36I will be
41:37sacrificed to
41:38the god of war
41:38who eats
41:39in her place.
41:40We can't
41:41allow you
41:41to do that.
41:41We've invested
41:43too much in you
41:43as our son's
41:44bride.
41:45It would be
41:45wasted if you
41:46are sacrificed.
41:47I will not
41:47marry Zuma
41:48and Huitzel
41:48still requires
41:49a sacrifice.
41:50This is the
41:50best path
41:50forward.
41:51We must
41:52conceal Teo's
41:53identity
41:53during the
41:53sacrifice
41:54as well
41:55as Malin's.
41:57Huitzel
41:58and Zuma
41:58expect different
41:59brides.
42:01We will host
42:02the wedding
42:02and sacrificial
42:03ceremonies
42:03at the same
42:04time,
42:05three days
42:05from now,
42:06and the
42:07identities
42:07of the blood
42:08offering and
42:08the bride
42:09shall remain
42:09a secret
42:10to all.
42:11Teo,
42:11prepare a
42:12sacrificial
42:12headdress
42:13and mask
42:13for yourself.
42:14I will have
42:15a bridal
42:15covering made
42:15for your
42:16sister.
42:19Zuma,
42:19I hope you
42:20are sure
42:21of your
42:21choice,
42:21because once
42:22I'm gone,
42:23you can't
42:24change your
42:24mind.
42:29They haven't
42:29canceled Malin's
42:30sacrificial
42:31ceremony yet.
42:31She may yet
42:32still be offered
42:33up to Weedseal.
42:35Malin is not
42:35going to be
42:36sacrificed.
42:37You made
42:37sure of
42:38that by
42:38taking
42:38her
42:38virginity.
42:44How could
42:44you be
42:45angry?
42:45I did
42:46this for
42:46you.
42:46She's
42:47your
42:47sister
42:47and I
42:47saved
42:48her.
42:51And when
42:52you warm
42:52her bed
42:52after our
42:53marriage,
42:53what reason
42:53will you
42:54give
42:54then?
42:57Don't
42:57be naive.
42:59Every
42:59emperor
42:59has
43:00concubines.
43:00You
43:01didn't
43:01expect
43:01to be
43:02the only
43:02woman
43:02I
43:02taste
43:04for the
43:05rest
43:05of my
43:05life,
43:05did you?
43:06You're
43:07right.
43:07I was
43:08naive.
43:09I'd hoped
43:09I'd be
43:10enough.
43:11But my
43:11own
43:12sister?
43:13Don't
43:13you see
43:13how wrong
43:14that is?
43:15Then
43:16make sure
43:16you satisfy
43:16me day
43:17and night
43:18and I
43:18won't touch
43:19her again.
43:21You
43:22told me
43:22she's the
43:22only one
43:23you crave
43:23now.
43:24I
43:25never
43:25said
43:25that.
43:33But Malin
43:33is superior
43:34to you
43:34in every
43:34way.
43:35I wish
43:35she'd
43:36been the
43:36one
43:36chosen
43:36as
43:36my
43:37empress
43:37and you
43:37were
43:37the
43:37sacrifice.
43:39Zuma,
43:39my dear,
43:39be kind
43:40to Teo.
43:41She's not
43:41strong enough
43:42for this
43:42harsh
43:42world.
43:47Get
43:47back to
43:47work.
43:48Your
43:48wedding
43:49is
43:49soon.
43:51You
43:51mock
43:51me.
43:52I
43:52won't
43:52have
43:53it.
43:56Teo,
43:56why
43:57must
43:57you be
43:57so
43:57violent?
43:59Apologize
43:59to your
44:00sister,
44:00Teo.
44:00I
44:01won't
44:01let
44:01you
44:01treat
44:01her
44:02this
44:02way.

44:15You're

44:17girl,
44:17and I'm

44:39But look

53:12have a lot of cleaning to do later. She is small. She cannot have that much blood in her.
53:24Planning to leave so soon?
53:33You intend to kill a god in his own home with his own weapon?
53:37I just want the right to die peacefully. I am your sacrifice, not your toy.
