00:06I see my good friend here in the front, Colleen, who used to be former rep, and over on the
00:10other side,
00:11Taylor West, who's actually running for the House also, and I want to make sure.
00:17And I hope I didn't miss anyone else, and if I did, I'm sorry.
00:22Look, you know, exactly what Senator Warren was just talking about.
00:25I met my first billionaire when I was in seventh grade, and it didn't go very well.
00:30And ever since then, I've been watching how people with power and influence, you know, are holding us back.
00:36I want to be clear, you know, if you've done well, if you've made money, I don't dislike you.
00:41I don't begrudge you or anything like that, but when you start holding other people back
00:45and trying to make, you know, obscene amounts of money off those people, well, I have a problem with that.
00:50You know, most of the people that I know across Maine are hardworking people.
00:55They're just trying to do the best they can, and right now you all know
00:59that it's the hardest it's ever been.
01:00You know, we're seeing fuel prices that are insane, and you know, living in Maine, that it's going to get
01:06worse
01:06because we're not even in the coldest months yet.
01:09You know, the fishing, the farming, the forestry industry, all those places that depend on diesel fuel
01:16are paying obscene rates that it's not going to continue.
01:20I mean, the war might continue months, years, I don't know, but all those hardworking people aren't going to, you
01:27know,
01:27that's just going to be a situation where people will lose their businesses, some of them will lose their homes
01:31because they're tied in those businesses.
01:33And, you know, the health care cuts are just insane.
01:38And why is all this happening?
01:41Because people wanted more money.
01:43Billionaires had to have more money.
01:45I mean, it just doesn't make any sense.
01:48I mean, when does it end?
01:49Well, I'll tell you when it ends.
01:50It could end Tuesday.
01:52You know, it can end Tuesday when we take the Senate back and when we take the House back
02:00because right now, you know, they're not doing anything to hold anybody accountable.
02:05They're not even doing their job as a Congress to actually, you know, do oversight, do good vetting on candidates.
02:10It's whatever he wants, he gets.
02:12And it doesn't matter, ladies and gentlemen, if you're a Republican or Democrat.
02:15That's just not right.
02:16I mean, you know, no one that I've ever seen, a Republican or Democrat, you know, here in the Maine
02:21legislature would allow something like that to happen.
02:24But we are right now.
02:26And, you know, these things with tariffs, I mean, Trump is taking some off to actually help Senator Collins win
02:32this election.
02:33What do you think is going to happen on November 4th after the election?
02:37I mean, seriously, when there's no reason to help her out anymore, what do you think he's going to do?
02:44I mean, he's shown us time and time again how he doesn't care about us.
02:49And, you know, this election to me is not about just going back to where we were for Trump.
02:55It's about pushing government in a way that we've never seen before, but in a way we deserve.
03:02And that is really, you know, what is so exciting about this race is we can have Medicare for all,
03:09you know.
03:12And please don't let them tell you that Medicare for all means that you're going to lose in your health
03:17insurance.
03:18You're going to get the health insurance you deserve, and we all deserve.
03:22And hospitals will be made whole so that they get paid instead of the way things are going right now
03:27where bad debt and charity care.
03:29But they have this mindset, or this is their argument, is if everyone gets health care, you're going to lose.
03:36That is not the case.
03:37I mean, if we quit giving tax cuts to billionaires, we quit going to foreign wars, you know, we quit
03:41putting money like we are into rogue agencies like ICE,
03:45all these things that, you know, I think we're just wasting money while people in the United States are suffering.
03:50And that is what this election is really about, is making sure that we have a government that we can
03:56be proud of.
03:57I mean, the signs I'm putting out right now, it may be hokey, but, you know, she's supposed to be
04:08our senator.
04:09Well, I think it's our time, and that's what it is coming up this week.
04:12It's our time to get our government back.
04:15So thank you for being here.
