00:00Here's the one other part of this that is interesting to me.
00:05What are the Sabres today as a destination to a guy like that?
00:11And a guy like that is looking for the best chance to win he can get,
00:17and apparently he wants it in the U.S.
00:20He has not made the playoffs since he was a teenager when he was in the NHL.
00:26It has been a decade.
00:28His drought of not making the playoffs is almost as long as the drought
00:32that we all experienced as fans with this team.
00:36Ten years not making it in Detroit.
00:40Okay, I'm sure top priority right there with he just would rather be back,
00:46he would rather stay in the U.S., is I need the chance to win.
00:52I need to make it to the playoffs.
00:53I need to challenge for Stanley Cups.
00:56What are the Sabres as a destination for that right now?
00:58In the summer, they improved a lot.
01:01Halibuk said yes.
01:03Trocek was willing to come here.
01:05There were lots of players that would have been more willing to come here
01:08that would not have been a year before.
01:10Right now, middling start, slowish start.
01:16Do they look still like a team that a Larkin would look at
01:21and he wouldn't just totally dismiss them like players would have before last season?
01:29That's what I wonder.
01:31That's, to me, the biggest roadblock for this thing becoming real is this team getting on track
01:39and I think they need to prove to him if this is a conversation that you're going to get here
01:45and it's going to be good.
01:46I think that, for me, is their biggest roadblock in this concept.
01:51Get hot now.
01:53See if you can't win four in a row and sort of, all right, they're good.
01:58That would make sense for me.
02:00I'll win there.
02:01I'm going to be back in the playoffs and I'm going to have a look.
02:04I think that, above anything else, is the biggest question that he likely has about this place.
