00:02We begin this morning in Brazil, where the losing candidate in Sunday's presidential election
00:07is refusing to concede and wants the results thrown out. That's after President Lula won
00:12re-election, defeating the son of former President Jair Bolsonaro. Flavio Bolsonaro says he'll ask
00:18for the results to be annulled after a last-minute court decision extended voting by two hours Sunday.
00:24The extension was requested by both campaigns, following transportation problems in some
00:29areas and heavy rain in others. But Bolsonaro says the rules were changed in the middle
00:34of the election. Brazil's electoral court says the extra voting time did not affect the results.
00:40With all votes counted, Lula finished with nearly 52 percent, about 4.4 million votes ahead of
00:46Bolsonaro. Tens of thousands of supporters poured into the streets to celebrate his victory.
00:52Lula, a frequent critic of President Trump, is now set to begin his fourth term in January.
00:57But first, Bolsonaro is trying to overturn the results, and it's not yet clear whether his
01:02challenge will meet the legal standard to do that.
