00:13President Trump is facing criticism, including from a former political ally over his comments
00:18about Michigan Democratic Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed. Trump was in Port Huron Sunday
00:23campaigning for Republican Mike Rogers, who's running against El-Sayed in one of the country's
00:28closest Senate races. During the rally, Trump called El-Sayed a jihadist and accused him of
00:33belonging to the Muslim Brotherhood. El-Sayed has repeatedly denied any connection to the group,
00:39and no evidence has been presented showing he's a member. Trump also questioned whether El-Sayed
00:44should have access to classified information if elected. Here's what he said.

01:17national security secrets. And his vote would wield power over our military, our borders,
01:23our homeland security, and much more than that. The comments drew criticism from Bashar Bhabha,
01:29a founder of Arab Americans for Trump, a group that helped the president win support from Arab
01:34American voters in 2024. Bhabha called the remarks, quote, out of line and racist.
01:40Rogers has also questioned El-Sayed's alleged Muslim Brotherhood connections, though he said Sunday
01:45he's never called his opponent a terrorist. El-Sayed responded at a campaign event of his own,
01:50criticizing Rogers for supporting Trump.
01:53So, with Donald Trump, you can't blame him for this. He's just dumb. You can blame him for the
01:59narcissism. But for Mike Rogers, can you imagine how small of a human being you have to be
02:06to know that the man in front of you has real deficits,
02:12And to just nod your head approvingly at the most ridiculous shit that the man proposes.
02:18Rogers and El-Sayed are competing for the seat being vacated by Democratic Senator Gary Peters.
02:23Rogers's polls indicate the race remains close.
