00:00But Trae Young is a guy who can get everybody the ball.
00:02Can he be more reliable for the future success than AD is?
00:08Yeah, I think so.
00:09And I think with Trae Young, you have a little bit of injury history there,
00:13but it's not super long.
00:15And when on the last year, the injuries he went through
00:18after arriving with the Wizards was a lot more about
00:21we need to be in the lottery standings than it was Trae Young
00:24being unable to play.
00:26And I think what you said is right.
00:28He's a guy who can set the table for all these other players
00:31and make sure everybody's getting touches and all that.
00:34And the Wizards have some other guys at the forward position
00:37that you can rely on if Anthony Davis isn't going to be a part of things
00:41moving forward.
00:41I think what you kind of do is you take these first couple months of the season
00:45until we get to about the holiday period.
00:47No trades really or anything like that happen in the NBA
00:50until we're into mid to late December anyway.
00:53So you kind of take this to evaluate.
00:55And if you're in a good place and he is playing well and he's healthy
00:59and seems like he's happy to be in Washington,
01:03then maybe you start talking with him a little bit more about the future
01:07and what that might look like.
01:08And if we get to a place where it is, all right, he's not playing great
01:11or he's unhappy or injured again and they don't really feel like they need
01:15to build around him, maybe then you look at what the trade options are.
01:19I think they're in a pretty good place either way with that
01:21because either you're going to be winning games and doing well
01:25or you're going to return something via trade for Anthony Davis.
