00:0211-year-old Angelo has his eyes on the prize or prizes.
00:08I've won like six Australian championships and three for eight ball and another three for snooker.
00:18His love for the game inherited from his grandfather.
00:21He used to like put me on the ground and I'd shoot a ball into like a toilet roll.
00:29And that's how I learned.
00:30Last week, Angelo travelled to the International Black Ball Championship in the UK, representing Australia.
00:38These days, an old hand, winning his first snooker national title at the tender age of nine.
00:44When he won, we were like, did he just win?
00:48But he's not the only one stacking the trophy shelf.
00:51His 15-year-old friend Adam recently became the best pool player in the NT.
00:55Kids and adults combined.
00:58Every day after I come home from school, practice two or three hours each day.
01:03And that's every day for the week.
01:04Adam represented Australia in eight ball in the under-19s earlier this year, travelling to Norway.
01:10And he'll stand tall for the territory in the Australian championships later this year.
01:14It gives me pretty good confidence every time I shoot ball.
01:18And yeah, I just really like the sound of it going in the pocket.
01:22While the young players want more kids to pick up the cues, for now there's plenty of talent in the
01:28current pool.
01:30They actually commit themselves to being good players. They practice, practice, practice.
01:38As to why the territory turns out so many child champions, he has a theory.
01:44Maybe an air-conditioned room where you can play pool is a lot better than working out in the sunshine.
01:52Pool and the cool. Clearly a winning combination.
01:55Where do you want more players to play pool?
