00:00First of all, I will point out that the foreign minister of India has been to the United States four
00:03times this year.
00:06So this is the most populous country in the world.
00:08It's the largest democracy in the world.
00:10It's an important commercial partner and business partner in the United States.
00:13We also do a lot of defense cooperation.
00:15They're a key member of the Quad.
00:17They're a strong strategic partner.
00:19So I actually don't think we've come enough.
00:21And I think we need to have more.
00:22And we have.
00:23We've had the Commerce Secretary's been here, right?
00:25We've had the FBI Director, the Vice President's come.
00:29The Attorney General.
00:30So this is a very important partner for us.
00:32As far as the trade agreement is concerned, obviously the State Department doesn't negotiate trade agreements.
00:37But we are very much involved in what's happening.
00:39In my purchase, National Security Advisor, we care a lot about it.
00:42We're very, very close.
00:43I would say we're about as close as you can be without having an executed agreement.
00:46I think there's a small number of items left to wrap up.
00:49So I think that will happen shortly.
00:51We're hoping, which it should.
00:53And hopefully have some good news to announce fairly soon.
00:56And perhaps the leaders can sign it thereafter.
00:59So we feel very optimistic that we will have something in place here very soon.
