00:00Let's turn from there to the U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio in India on a two-day visit.
00:06In Mumbai, he held talks with External Affairs Minister S. Jain Shankar,
00:10paid homage to the martyrs of the 2611 Mumbai terror attacks.
00:14The two leaders attended the Freedom 250, an event to mark America's 250th anniversary.
00:19At the event, Dr. Jain Shankar thanked the U.S. for the extradition of 2611 accused Tawawur Rana
00:25and added that India expects its partners to adopt a policy of zero tolerance to terrorism.
00:32Mr. Rubio reiterated India and U.S. are closer than ever before to reaching a trade deal.
00:38Listen in.
00:40As far as the trade agreement is concerned,
00:42obviously the State Department doesn't negotiate trade agreements,
00:45but we are very much involved in what's happening.
00:48In my purchase, National Security Advisor, we care a lot about it.
00:51We're very, very close.
00:52I would say we're about as close as you can be,
00:53but I think there's an executed agreement.
00:55I think there's a small number of items left to wrap up.
00:58So I think that will happen shortly.
01:00We're hoping, which we should,
01:02and hopefully have some good news to announce.
01:04We're hoping that the leaders can sign it thereafter.
01:07So we feel very optimistic that we will have something in place for this.
01:14All of India appreciates your laying a wreath today
01:18at the Taj Hotel's 2611 Memorial.
01:22India also welcomes this administration's decision
01:29to extradite Tahabur Hussain Rana,
01:33who was one of the key culprits.
01:35We are clear on the right to defend ourselves against terrorism
01:40and expect that our partners show zero tolerance towards terrorism as well.
