00:00All right, you want to talk about the Gardner-Johnson situation?
00:03It's kind of mandatory. We have to do that.
00:05Of course, yeah.
00:06They got what they signed up for.
00:08You don't want to see that.
00:09We saw it. I don't like it.
00:11Him getting kicked out is fine.
00:13He's not going to be on the team this week?
00:16Where are we?
00:18They have decisions to make.
00:20As I sit here today, it would not stun me if C.J. Gardner-Johnson was not on the team.
00:24However, given the fact that Brandon Bean went out and got this player
00:30and specifically talked about the edge he needs to bring to this team,
00:34it was not a huge investment, $3.5 million,
00:38considering what they brought him here to do to help out on the field
00:42and the fact that the secondary is not playing very well.
00:46That may not be something they want to do at this point.
00:49However, is the juice worth the squeeze, as Joe DiBiase and I were both saying this morning,
00:53and Joe said, and I think that's a good phrase,
00:55because with or without him, I don't think it's been much of a difference in the secondary.
01:00When he left yesterday, the team didn't play any worse necessarily.
01:05There were a couple drives they gave up.
01:07Now, the thing that I think you have to really, that bothers me is,
01:11this is an act, this is a situation where anybody who's associated with this organization is,
01:20now this is kind of a stain today on them, on everybody,
01:24because every single time you're going to see Josh Allen's highlight today,
01:28where he flicked the ball to Keyon Coleman, everybody talks about MVP,
01:31it's going to be followed up by C.J. Gardner-Johnson spitting in the direction of Brock Bowers.
01:37And it's going to be talked about.
01:38He's a Buffalo Bills player.
01:40And that's not something that anybody in this organization wants.
01:42And by extension, him wearing that logo and doing that is something that makes everyone,
01:48I'm sure, very uncomfortable that has to happen.
01:50And the only way that you are going to make sure that that doesn't happen again
01:54is by not having him on your team.
01:56And as you pointed out, it's kind of like what you signed up for
01:59when you knew that this guy had different issues along the way,
02:03whereas that's why he's been on eight teams in five years.
02:06The bottom line is Brandon Bean and Joe Brady and their entire staff
02:12and his front office staff, and I'm sure the owner and everybody,
02:15they all have to get together and decide if they are going to make a move here
02:19to remove him from the team or if they're going to keep him on the team
02:22and they have two weeks to do that.
02:23And I would say really one week.
02:24You don't want to wait until next week.
02:26You want to do it before, you know, while everybody's in the bye week here
02:29and you get on for practice next week.
02:31For C.J. Gardner-Johnson, he did not say what he did.
02:34He did not necessarily admit what he did and specifically the act,
02:38but he did say and took accountability and was very apologetic in the locker room,
02:43which I think his teammates appreciated.
02:45But I don't know how far that's going to take.
