Sal Capaccio shares what we know now about the Bills injury situation as they continue to prepare for their Sunday afternoon matchup with the Las Vegas Raiders.
Transcript
00:00All right, so take us through practice, what we saw at practice.
00:03We can get to the injury report as well, the Barnes Firm injury report,
00:05as we break down what the Bills might expect to do coming into this week
00:09from an injury standpoint.
00:10And the injury report is brought to you by the Barnes Firm.
00:12If you've been injured in a crash, call the Barnes Firm, 1-800-8-MILLION.
00:17No DJ Moore, no Ed Oliver.
00:19It's, again, Sal, it's the time of year, a lengthy injury list,
00:23but it looks worse than maybe it is.
00:26Yeah, so from what we saw, only them walking off the field.
00:30It was a walkthrough, so there was no media availability to actually watch the practice.
00:34So, you know, this is typical after a Monday night game.
00:37The Wednesday practice is a walkthrough because you want to get the guy's legs back under them.
00:41So what the media actually saw were guys walking off the field.
00:44And then I saw maybe about, I don't know, 30, 40 yards away,
00:49a bunch of students going, Josh Allen, Josh, you know, trying to look over there.
00:52And they couldn't get close enough, but that was pretty cool.
00:55And somebody said to me, imagine being on that campus and, like,
00:57Josh Allen's just walking around your campus.
00:58I'm like, I know.
00:59Like, it's not like he's just walking around, but, you know, if you get a chance to do that.
01:03So they were screaming his name.
01:04We were able to, you know, obviously then get some interviews,
01:07and then we got the injury report.
01:08So let's talk about that a little bit.
01:09You're right.
01:11A couple notable things here.
01:12DJ Moore and Ed Oliver, both non-participants, but let's remember,
01:15this is an estimation, Jeremy, because it was a walkthrough.
01:18We don't know, you know, but we'll see today.
01:20Today will be the bigger day, obviously, for both these guys.
01:22But very good news that D. Alford was able to be limited.
01:25They did not put him on IR last week.
01:26So, you know, I would say that that's, you know, a good trend for him.
01:31And I think for that, the fact that they did not keep Anthony Kendall on the 53-man roster
01:36and they released him and signed him back to the practice squad
01:38is also an indication maybe that D. Alford is looking a lot better for this week.
01:42So we'll see where that takes him.
01:44Big one is Spencer Brown.
01:45Spencer Brown left the game with a back injury.
01:47I spoke with Spencer.
01:48I tweeted out exactly what he said.
01:50Essentially, he said he was sick last week.
01:52He was taking IVs.
01:53Then he had the long plane ride.
01:55And he said it really just was his back, his nervous system, his muscular system
01:59just kind of freaked out is the way he put it.
02:00He said, but he feels good.
02:03The imaging, the disc imaging, the MRI, everything came back.
02:05And then he said even better than last year.
02:07He said, so he's feeling really good about it.
02:09They have a good plan for him with the trainers.
02:10And he's confident he's going to play this week.
02:12And he was listed as limited.
02:15So was Joshua Palmer.
02:16So was the one I'm going to watch today is Ty Johnson because it says hamstring limited.
02:21Nothing happened in the game.
02:23I'm I mean, I'm going to assume here that, you know, this is just something that he's dealing with.
02:29But it is possible something happened yesterday.
02:31So we'll find out today, obviously, and keep an eye on that.
