00:00Sal Capaccio with us.
00:01Sal, Joe Brady and the other coaches, of course, speaking yesterday, Brady on Monday.
00:08What has the attitude kind of been, do you think, from the offensive side of things coming out of that
00:13Charger game?
00:13They still were looking for big plays.
00:17Allen still had a pretty high average depth of target.
00:20They were throwing the ball until those last two drives, their running went up a little bit,
00:27and you had a couple of those big James Cook runs.
00:29Do they sound like they're going to go right back to that and they're not shying away from hunting big
00:36plays,
00:36which everybody loved to see in the first couple just because it didn't go as well against the Chargers?
00:41Oh, yeah.
00:42And it's funny you actually bring that up.
00:43I was just looking at all these numbers.
00:47So here are the average pass lengths, depth of target in the league.
00:52So these are all passes.
00:54Josh Allen leads the league after three weeks, 10.28.
00:58Only two other quarterbacks are over 10.
01:01Lamar Jackson and Malik Willis.
01:04But what's to me even more interesting is if you take just the completions,
01:11you throw out all the incompletions, just take all the balls that quarterbacks completed,
01:17Josh Allen still leads the league in average depth,
01:20which tells you not only is he going deep, he's completing passes going deep.
01:25They're not going to go away from that.
01:27I mean, it's working, Joe.
01:28That's the bottom line.
01:28It didn't work last week because of a couple of things that happened.
01:31You know, Josh had a bad read on the first interception.
01:34I think in the second one, he can say that he didn't think he had a free play.
01:37He's taking accountability.
01:38I think that after listening to Joe Brady, they thought they had a free play.
01:41He threw it up.
01:42It didn't work out.
01:43I mean, other than that, though, yeah, he's throwing the ball deep,
01:46and they're coming up with completions.
01:48And I don't see why they would want to go away from that.
01:50And here's the other part about it.
01:52The more they keep doing that, the more defenses have to respect it
01:55because they are successful at it.
01:57And then here comes James Cook, who, oh, by the way, gets 154 yards,
02:00and no one really – I didn't think they get 154 yards until after the game.
02:04I looked down at the box score.
02:05And then here comes James Cook, who, oh, by the way, gets 154 yards.
