00:00The guy, though, that I think deserves the most credit on that side of the football,
00:05for three quarters, Brock Bowers was not involved in this game.
00:11He had, at one point, zero targets, I think, into the second half.
00:17Yeah, it was Michael Mayer who was getting them all.
00:18Michael Mayer was getting a lot, and he's a fine tight end.
00:22I reference to him being a backup tight end.
00:24He'd be a starting tight end on some teams.
00:26He's a good player, but not as good as he showed yesterday.
00:31But that was maybe, all right, we'll take that.
00:34We'll take Mayer's going to get his because we are going to make sure that Bowers isn't going to kill
00:41us.
00:41And he did get his, he got his stuff in the fourth quarter.
00:44Like, you could keep him down for three quarters, and they did, and I think that mattered a lot.
00:49But he did go off for 70 yards, a lot of that coming in the fourth.
00:53How'd they do it, though?
00:55I was a little surprised that they had Christian Benford shadow him the way that he did.
01:03Almost every single play, Benford is following Bowers.
01:09And he did it, sometimes when teams are shadowing a guy, they'll follow them around on the perimeter.
01:17But not always into the slot.
01:20If a guy goes into the slot, then, okay, we're going to hand that off to the nickel corner.
01:25In this game, Benford's going with Bowers no matter where he goes.
01:31There were multiple occasions where Bowers is lined up in the slot, and Benford lines up in the slot over
01:38top of him.
01:38There was a pass breakup in the second half where he did an excellent job.
01:42I thought you could probably say it was Benford's best game of the season, given the player he's going up
01:50against.
01:50There's a size mismatch there.
01:52He is one of the best two tight ends in football.
01:56And Benford was asked to cover him all day.
02:00And for the most part, was able to do it.
