00:19Hello everyone and welcome to a new vlog.
00:23And in this vlog I want to take you with me during a day as a content creator.
00:27It is Sunday, it is a really rainy, dark day in the Netherlands.
00:34But I heard from my boyfriend in Uganda that the rain is also too much in Uganda.
00:39So we share the same cloud as my boyfriend would say.
00:45But next week it's going to be a little bit more sunny, so fingers crossed.
00:51I started this morning with some things writing down.
00:56I always write down where I'm grateful for and some intentions of the day, how I want
01:03to spend my day.
01:05But mostly I write down where I'm thankful for, grateful for.
01:09And it helps me really to stay positive.
01:12Not that I'm not, but it's also in my character.
01:16But since I wrote it down, I'm more conscious of it.
01:22So during the day I'm always saying like, oh, I'm thankful for this, oh, I'm thankful for
01:28that.
01:28Oh, like that the whole time.
01:30And yeah, if you don't do that yet, it's my number one tip to do it.
01:36Because you realize how much you already have.
01:39And now I'm busy with making actually, yeah, schedules.
01:45It's a little bit also because I want to avoid working.
01:49No, that's not totally true, but a little bit.
01:51I have to do a lot today, like making content for YouTube and shorts and TikTok, editing some
01:58video, putting it online.
02:00So lots to do.
02:01But I also want to make already a content calendar for the next month until December.
02:08Because probably I will be in December in Uganda and I don't want to edit there.
02:14I want to make content there, but not edit.
02:16So I want to make a plan already, like how can I do this?
02:20What am I going to film?
02:22What will I post afterwards, etc.
02:25So that's what I'm going to do.
02:28And I made already a schedule for next week.
02:31So yeah, that's a little bit of an update of what I'm doing.
02:34And I'm eating here a watermelon.
02:36You saw me already eating the other one.
02:39It's like a full watermelon, a small one.
02:42So yeah, that's kind of my breakfast.
02:44So it's now almost 11 in the morning on a Sunday and I'm going to work.
02:52Hello, hello guys.
02:54It's now half past 12 and I'm already feeling hungry because that's me.
03:00I know a lot of Ugandans eat like lunch at three, but I eat lunch when I'm hungry.
03:07I think a lot of people eat lunch when they're hungry, but okay.
03:11Anyhow, let's look in my things what I should eat because I have no idea myself.
03:21What is this?
03:22Here, these are vegan meatballs, which sounds of course really crazy, but it's really common
03:29in the Netherlands, but I don't know how to make this and I have to search for the recipe.
03:35I want to eat vegan egg.
03:37This is a vegan egg mixture.
03:41So does it contain protein?
03:44Yes.
03:46Nice.
03:47And really much.
03:48Okay.
03:48Then I take that as my protein sauce.
03:51This is really how I cook.
03:54I am searching for some vegetables.
03:56I take some tomatoes, not all of them.
04:01I take an avocado.
04:03I think I'm going to take cucumber as well.
04:05I'm lazy.
04:06I don't want to cook that much.
04:10And what else?
04:12Oh, always eat some greens.
04:15Oh, I'm going to really make something nice out of it.
04:18I can feel it.
04:19Well, maybe I'm going to eat some carrots because I want to eat a rainbow.
04:24And then maybe the yellow paprika or bell pepper.
04:29And I have some hummus left over, so I'm going to take that one as well.
04:35But I need some carbs as well.
04:38Because otherwise all the Ugandans get mad at me.
04:42And they say, where is the food?
04:44Yes.
04:45You're right.
04:46Where is the food?
04:48Storytime.
04:48It is very funny that at my last day in Uganda, when I was there in April this year,
04:55I was eating out at an Ethiopian restaurant.
05:00I'm not sure.
05:02Maybe more Arabic.
05:03And they sell like falafel, that kind of stuff.
05:08And I ordered, I think I ordered a salad.
05:12But for me, I'm common in the Netherlands where you order a salad, you always get like a piece of
05:17bread with it or something like that.
05:19Or it's like a pasta salad or a rice salad or something like that.
05:23So I was expecting that.
05:25Then I got like only salad.
05:27And I think the carbs were just like little, little.
05:30It was not at all.
05:31And I was looking at my plate thinking, where is the food?
05:37At the same time, my boyfriend says, looking at my plate, where is the food?
05:44And I was like, I have no idea as well.
05:47For the first time I noticed, now I'm a real Ugandan.
05:51If you look at the plate of salad and you think, where is the food?
05:55So yeah.
05:56People, I need food.
05:58But what am I going to take?
06:01What is nice with egg?
06:03I have sushi rice.
06:04I have normal rice.
06:06I have pasta and all kinds of flavors.
06:09I have quinoa, but quinoa, I'm not in the mood for quinoa.
06:14The stupid thing is, I would eat bread or potatoes with this.
06:18Those are the things that I'm not having in my home.
06:21Girl, what you doing?
06:24I think it's going to be rice.
06:25Rice is always good, you know, rice.
06:28You can eat rice always, always rice.
06:31So yeah, it's going to be rice.
06:33What a surprise.
06:35This is me sitting too long inside the house behind the computer.
06:40Then I'm getting mental.
06:42I need to get rid of my energy.
06:44But hey, I'm going to be fine.
06:47Let's make some lunch.
06:48And here is going to be the result.
06:52To be honest, this is how I love my meals the most.
06:56Just snacking.
06:58I've got carrots.
06:59What is the English word of this?
07:01I don't know.
07:02Tomato.
07:04Fake egg.
07:05Cucumber.
07:06Spinach.
07:08And yeah, a chapati wrap something.
07:11Doughy.
07:12And hummus.
07:14I didn't make it myself.
07:15But that's one of my goals for coming week.
07:18Okay guys, this is the current situation.
07:21I still want to make two other videos.
07:24And in the meantime, I'm also cooking food.
07:27But it's now six in the evening.
07:30And the rain stops at least.
07:33So that's a good thing.
07:34But I'm going to make the videos.
07:38And I think I'm going to chill them.
07:40I have the feeling I didn't film anything today.
07:43Sorry.
07:44This is a moment that I think, should I put this even online?
07:48I mean, I didn't do anything.
07:50But I had something in mind.
07:52I thought I'm going to make a snack.
07:54And it's not really typical a Dutch snack.
07:57It's just a nice snack.
07:59Which you can also make in Uganda.
08:02So stay tuned for snack.
08:06Snack attack.
08:07I like snacking.
08:09I love the food in Uganda.
08:10I'm not complaining.
08:12And I love the portions.
08:13But since the portions are so big in Uganda, I'd rather snack.
08:17But snacking for me is just fun.
08:20I don't know.
08:21Sometimes I miss snacking.
08:22I say to my boyfriend, I want a small portion so I can snack.
08:26Otherwise I'm too full to snack.
08:28But hey, how many times can you say snack?
08:31A lot of times.
08:31For now I'm going to cook some rice.
08:34This is some lentils.
08:37I cooked already some white beans.
08:40Those are done.
08:42And here's some zucchini.
08:44I'm going to grill that.
08:46And eat it with some avocado as well.
08:49And some mango chutney.
08:52Okay, you need the follow ingredients for the snack.
08:56You need some dates.
08:58Some peanut butter.
08:59And some chocolate.
09:01Or chocolate drips.
09:02It doesn't matter.
09:03What we're going to do is we're going to take the dates.
09:07As many as you want.
09:08Cut them and remove the pit.
09:11And we're going to melt the chocolate.
09:15But you can do it in a pan.
09:16Au bain-marie.
09:18So as they say.
09:19Or you can do it in a microwave.
09:23And since I have a microwave, I will do it like that.
09:26I'm not sure if I'm going to use all the drips.
09:31It depends.
09:33I'm going to put now hole for hole.
09:36And then see what's happening next.
09:43And put it in the microwave.
09:46First I do it for one minute.
09:49Second thing we're going to do is take the dates.
09:53Cut them.
09:55And remove the pit.
09:58So we have it like this.
10:06This is always so hot.
10:07Be careful.
10:09Ah.
10:10You see it's already melting.
10:12But not that much.
10:14So I give it a stir.
10:17And you see already it's going to melt more and more.
10:22But it's going to be in the microwave for another minute.
10:26And in the meantime, I'm going to cut.
10:30You can also do it like this.
10:32You don't need a knife.
10:33It depends what kind of dates you have.
10:35These are really my most favorite dates ever.
10:39I don't think there will grow dates in Uganda.
10:43I didn't saw them growing.
10:46But correct me if I'm wrong.
10:49And sometimes I don't understand why.
10:50Because I have the feeling that almost every vegetable and fruit can grow in Uganda.
10:58So for example apples as well.
11:01Why are there no apples growing in Uganda?
11:04Because they are so expensive.
11:06I think this is enough for now.
11:10And just in time.
11:12It's still a little bit thick.
11:15But yeah.
11:17When I stir it, it's okay.
11:19It's amazing.
11:21So what we do is really easy.
11:24Put some peanut butter on one half.
11:27Then close it.
11:29And then twist it around.
11:32So you have this and leave it on a baking tray.
11:37Pay attention.
11:38Don't put the peanut butter in the chocolate.
11:40Put it in the date.
11:42What is the Luganda word for date?
11:45I don't know.
11:46And I'm talking about this thing.
11:49And not having a date with your boyfriends.
11:53Or girlfriends of course.
11:55So another.
12:00And in the chocolate.
12:03I see you when I have done all of it.
12:06And here is the, well I won't say is the result.
12:10But this is before they go in the fridge.
12:12They don't need to be in the oven.
12:14They need to be in the fridge.
12:15So I changed my outfit again.
12:17Because I just was making the video.
12:20How to get a mizumbu.
12:21And I hope you can laugh about it.
12:24Because I like to make, yeah, fun about it.
12:27I wear now my sweater.
12:28I'm really in a lazy mood.
12:30And I have here my food.
12:32I have the sugini.
12:33I grilled it.
12:33I have the rice.
12:35Some avocado.
12:36White beans.
12:37And some chutney.
12:39Which is a little bit spicy.
12:40But it's okay.
12:42And I'm going to watch a vlog.
12:45Just chilling.
12:46But what I wanted to say.
12:49What my dream is.
12:51Is to have like a really big house in Uganda.
12:54With a big land around.
12:56Where I can grow my own vegetables and fruits.
13:00It's really a dream of mine.
13:02Waking up.
13:03Taking the mango from the tree.
13:05Making juice out of it.
13:07Taking bananas from the tree.
13:11With some leaves.
13:12Making some green smoothie out of it.
13:16Making my own chocolate.
13:19Making my own peanut butter.
13:20Making my own hummus.
13:22Making as much as possible myself.
13:26That's really, really, really a dream of mine.
13:30And that's also one of the reasons that I want to live in Uganda.
13:35Because some people are shocked.
13:38Especially in the Netherlands.
13:39When I say that I want to live in Uganda.
13:41But for me.
13:42It's like the vegetable and fruit paradise.
13:46Like having free food.
13:50Oh my god.
13:51And yes, of course.
13:52You have to work for it.
13:53You have to take care of it.
13:55But if I can go like once a month to the supermarket.
13:59To buy like pasta, rice, that kind of stuff.
14:03And the rest of it, I have it from my own garden.
14:06I have no words.
14:08And I say it once to my boyfriend as well.
14:11I have like two lives that I love.
14:13I like the more lay back life.
14:16Having an own garden.
14:18Gardening.
14:20Making stuff yourself.
14:22Relax.
14:23Go back.
14:24Like back to your roots.
14:26That kind of life.
14:27I also love the driving in the Lamborghini jet set life.
14:33I don't know.
14:34I have the feeling that like when I'm home.
14:37I want to live that more slowly.
14:41Cozy living life.
14:43Growing everything myself.
14:45Having solar panels.
14:48Like living mostly for free.
14:51That's really one of my goals in life.
14:53Living for free.
14:54And on the other hand.
14:58In the weekends.
15:00Driving in your car.
15:01Going to see crazy places.
15:04Jump out of a plane.
15:05I don't know.
15:07That's.
15:08Yeah.
15:09I like that combination.
15:11And who knows.
15:13What life brings.
15:15It brings good food.
15:25Yay.
15:26I have the chocolate in between my teeth.
15:29But.
15:30Oh.
15:31This is.
15:32No joke.
15:33My Ugandan boyfriend.
15:35Loves this so much.
15:37That he asks for this.
15:39I'm not even joking.
15:41I made this one for him.
15:42And he said.
15:43I want more of it.
15:45When he was here.
15:47He came in the kitchen once.
15:48And he was saying.
15:49Do we have the snack?
15:50And I was like.
15:53We finished all.
15:54I have to make new ones.
15:56So yeah.
15:57Try this out.
15:58This one has extra chocolates.
16:00Oh.
16:01The chocolate is not really hard yet.
16:05But it's so nice.
16:07Mmm.
16:08Mmm.
16:09Food porn.
16:10Can I say this?
16:11With all the chocolate around me.
16:13I'm going to finish this video.
16:16I hope you liked it anyway.
16:17It was just.
16:18A home vlog.
16:19And it's.
16:20Again.
16:20Raining.
16:22Next week.
16:23It's going to be summer again.
16:25The sun is going to shine.
16:27I'm going to chill on the rooftop.
16:29Maybe I'm going to visit.
16:31An African.
16:33Shop.
16:34To see if I recognize something.
16:36So.
16:37Stay tuned.
16:38Because I want to.
16:39Take some.
16:40Um.
16:40Well.
16:41I want to take some.
16:42Ugandan vibe.
16:43In my house.
16:44But since there are not.
16:46That much.
16:46Ugandan things.
16:47In the Netherlands.
16:48I'm trying to take.
16:49The African vibe.
16:51In my house.
16:52Because that's.
16:53Coming close.
16:54To Uganda.
16:55So yeah.
16:56Stay tuned.
16:57For that.
16:57And I see you.
16:59At the next.
17:00Bye bye.
17:10Bye bye.
