02:25275 pounds, the World Wrestling Federation Champion, The Rift.
02:34This is a very partisan Texas crowd, Austin is revered.
02:40He is a folk hero.
02:42Austin has reached legendary status in his home state of Texas.
02:46No doubt it for good reason, because Stone Cold Steve Austin is a man of integrity.
02:54Stone Cold Steve Austin has backed up everything he has ever said in his career.
03:01But tonight, tonight, Stone Cold Steve Austin must take the championship from The Rock.
03:11Thus far the career as Austin's not taking his eyes off of The Rock, thus far.
03:18And the rivalry between these two, extremely, extremely popular superstars.
03:25Stone Cold has the advantage.
03:29There is no doubt that in Houston, Texas, Stone Cold Steve, here we go, it's on.
03:36They didn't waste any time, and nor did we think they won.
03:40Stone Cold's story with the right hands.
03:44Austin remembers no disposition.
03:47I suppose that was made by Commissioner William Regal.
03:50We don't know why, we don't know when, but we know all the benefits.
03:56Austin with the right hands, right to the jaw of the champion.
04:00One, two.
04:01Austin wants to put The Rock away early here.
04:04Early advantage goes to Stone Cold Steve Austin, the challenger for the title.
04:11There was no stir down, there was no trash talking.
04:14These two just got it on, and a swinging neck breaker.
04:19On the surgery repair spine of The Rattlesnake,
04:23and The Rock looking for The Rock bottom.
04:26Stone Cold looking for the spinner.
04:28All this in the early going.
04:31The Rock's, Austin's side stepped The Rock,
04:35took him over the top, did The Texas Rattlesnake.
04:42Austin remembers, notice by the vacation.
04:45The Rock's got, right here, Rock with a round hand.
04:57And The Rock now knocked over the railing, right into these fans here.
05:03Nothing would expose concrete in human bodies surrounding the champion and his challenger.
05:09And obviously, The Challenger is going to call Steve Austin with the advantage in a no disqualification match.
05:22I cannot believe that this is now a no DQ match.
05:28Well, I'll tell you what, don't count out The Rock as far as knowing how to break the rules and
05:33how to gun up a fight.
05:36And now the role of Austin's face just bounced right off the table.
05:43And again, thrown Cold's head violently right on our table.
05:52Austin reversing the clothesline and delivers and scores big time on the champion.
05:59Come on, get in the ring.
06:01With the title on the line.
06:05Austin using that knee brace to ring the eyes and face of The Rock.
06:10Again, it's no disqualification.
06:12And yes, I do believe that does favor Austin, but I still, we've seen The Rock get pretty wild and
06:20simple, Paul.
06:21He's the Texas Rattlesnake, but tonight, what a vicious, violent side of Steve Austin.
06:27You can tell just how badly he won the title.
06:33So cold, but I had a steam, and there's a cover.
06:38And senior referee Earl Hedmer got a near fall out of that one.
06:43But he's not, Steve Austin is not in the ring with just anybody.
06:47Stone Cold is in the ring with the champion.
06:50The man himself, the top dog in the industry today, The Rock.
06:56The Rock, just 28 years of age, headlining his third consecutive WrestleMania.
07:01With a coveted title on the line, deep in the heart of Texas, in the Reliant Astrodome.
07:08And The Rock being hooked up here.
07:11And the Superplex.
07:14Rock coming right over the top rope, landing his lower back.
07:19Crashing to the canvas.
07:21Austin now looking for a cover.
07:23One, two.
07:23And got a near fall again, another near fall.
07:26And Stone Cold gets right back up to his feet.
07:30I cannot, I cannot understand just how badly, I cannot believe just how badly he wants the title.
07:38And look, Austin just took the padding over the turnbuckle.
07:41Exposing the turnbuckle, we saw that earlier tonight.
07:47And now The Rock fighting back, the heart of a champion.
07:51The Rock, scoring on the challenge, again in partisan, Texas crowd here.
08:04What a good for a row and throw, could be enough.
08:07Austin, his shoulder just barely came off the canvas.
08:10The Rock so definitely, so definitely needs to take the fight to Austin.
08:15Because The Rock is the man to beat, but he has to keep the title away from Stone Cold.
08:23Austin clothes lined over the top rope.
08:26A serious contact from the champion.
08:32So much on the line, not just the pride, not just the glory,
08:37not just the money of the championship.
08:40But The Rock and Austin are the two biggest stars.
08:44And again, Austin's face driven into our announce table.
08:49Know this part of occasion, it's a license to name here.
08:53And now Austin, come on man, come on.
08:56Again Austin, his face being driven into the timekeeper's table.
09:04Come on, watch out.
09:07Watch out for the wire, move the wire down.
09:09The Rock just got the referee right over the stage.
09:15And Austin just nailed the rock for the ring belt.
09:17How are you doing?
09:18Stone Cold exploded into the rock space of the ring belt.
09:22And remember, no one can be disqualified.
09:25I am so surprised at the turn of events we have seen in this match.
09:31I cannot believe just how physical this has gotten so early in the contest.
09:38Austin is the timekeeper down.
09:39But for your head for having a hell of a time reasoning with the Rattlesnake.
09:45Who just let the referee know what he thought of it.
09:47You cannot reason with the Rattlesnake.
09:50And you cannot reason with Stone Cold Steve Austin.
09:55Austin's scoring together, right hands.
09:57And the Rock has been lacerated at the hands of Stone Cold.
10:00And that shot with the ring belt.
10:07And Austin trying to open that cut up even more.
10:12And he's doing a damn good job at it.
10:14The Rock is hurt.
10:16The champion is hurt.
10:19The champion is hurt.
10:34The champion is hurt.
10:34He's trying to get up.
10:37Rock busted open.
10:39We've lost our monitors.
10:41We can't see a damn thing.
10:43Let's go.
10:44Come on, Austin.
10:49I'm gonna watch the drive.
10:50I got no other choice.
10:53And now Austin Forrest, cocked, loaded, ready, delivers the right hand.
10:58I thought it was gonna be the starter, the champion, in big time trouble here.
11:04Austin's got the big time home field advantage, and just Lord,
11:09the champion, is still on the spot of occasion, and by God Austin must be living this.
11:16Come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on,
11:20come on, come on.
11:21And now The Rock, the life choked out of the champion.
11:25And there's nothing that the referee can do, because this match, for some reason,
11:30is now no disqualification.
11:36Austin, measuring The Rock, pulling him up by the hair.
11:42And The Rock fighting back with everything he's got.
11:46Trying to lay the smack down on Austin.
11:49And Austin scores on that cracker, much to the line of this crowd.
11:55Austin going for the cover, and maybe, no it is not.
11:58One second away, Stone Cold, Steve Austin was one second away from becoming the champion.
12:07Austin right back in that male position, looking around the eyes of the champion.
12:13Measuring the right hands, a succession of hard rights, rattling the brain of The Rock.
12:23God, this is intense.
12:26This is WrestleMania.
12:33And The Rock, down, almost defenseless, is the champion.
12:39As Austin looking to stomp that mud hole and walk it dry, as he says.
12:44As the champion's in a bad, bad way, The Rock is down.
12:48And Stone Cold, Steve Austin is not running up to one bit.
12:53Look at those kicks right to the head of The Rock.
12:56Great camera shot, they're taking it right inside the ring.
12:59Those kicks scoring right on The Rock's head.
13:05Referee's almost defenseless here, with these no disqualification rules.
13:09It's not almost defenseless, he's absolutely defenseless.
13:13There's nothing you can do, it's a no disqualification match.
13:17For what reason, I have no idea.
13:20And now Austin confronting the referee, accosting the referee with the Rattlesnake.
13:24Losing some of his composure, as The Rock's face, The Rock exploded.
13:29The Rock exploded on Austin.
13:32Austin jumped in with the referee, and then Austin got stoned there, no con intended.
13:40The Rock is fighting for something that's more valuable to him than anything else in his life.
13:45The Rock is fighting for the championship.
13:49Tonight, right here, in Houston, Texas, at WrestleMania.
13:53The Rock's face is not a crimson mask yet, but it may be.
13:58And now The Rock, Rock and The Rock, The Rock fighting back, Austin in trouble.
14:03Austin driven back into the corner, and now The Rock letting Austin know what he thinks of him.
14:09Austin, face first, into the top turnbuckle.
14:13What a brutal battle, what a brutal battle we are witnessing.
14:17Where the hell is he going now?
14:19The Rock got the ring bell, that's what The Rock got busted open with.
14:23Austin used that same ring bell on the champion, just a few minutes ago.
14:29Come on, man, put it down, put it down, Rocky, no!
14:34Yeah, Austin being measured by the champion.
14:42The Rock with a ring bell just nailed Austin.
14:47And Austin has busted open even more.
14:50There's the cover, it's gonna be, no, it's not over, no, it's not over.
14:55So close yet, so far, he loves his play right into the exposed turnbuckle.
15:01And then, then The Rock cracks Austin with a full, unreal nail Austin bloody.
15:07The Rock bloody, the battle is for the title and all is on the line.
15:14The Rock, after fighting with everything he's got to pull himself back up.
15:19And The Rock with a right hand, and another right hand.
15:23The Rock's the only thing holding Austin up, but there goes the Rattlesnake.
15:29The Rock with a mighty, a prevalent rush, and
15:33the challenger for the title.
15:35Just got knocked on his ass again.
15:38Stone Cold will not stay down.
15:40The Rattlesnake will not quit.
15:43His journey ends here.
15:47But it may be too little, too late in the most personal of title matches
15:52that I have ever witnessed.
15:56Come on, Rocky, get in there.
15:58The Rock now taking a fight to Austin on the outside.
16:02The Rock dictating the page.
16:04The Rock brutalizing a bloody challenger.
16:06And The Rock will do almost anything to hold on to the title.
16:13The Rock majoring Austin, the champion majoring the challenger.
16:17And The Rock dragging that elbow into the heart of the Rattlesnake.
16:23It's all about heart.
16:25It's all about personal issues, pride.
16:30And who's gonna be the top man in this business?
16:34Is it The Rock?
16:36Or is it gonna be Stone Cold?
16:38And Austin fighting back.
16:40A bloody and final challenger just by God will not quit.
16:47Yeah.
16:51God, this is getting up.
16:54This is intense.
16:56This is on the page in piss.
17:00The challenger now coming around.
17:03He's taking the fight to The Rock now.
17:05And Austin, Austin, a bloody Stone Cold, has The Rock just where he wants him.
17:13Austin, what you gonna do here?
17:18Austin just catapulted The Rock.
17:21And I think The Rock went head first into the ring post.
17:27Both men are down, and the first one to his feet will clearly have the advantage.
17:34Austin back up first.
17:36What's his impact?
17:37Watch The Rock's head.
17:40Watch The Rock's head snapping back.
17:42The Rock's head snapping back.
17:43He went through The Rock's neck.
17:45And Captain back here.
17:50Austin got a monitor.
17:52Come on, Elisabeth.
17:53Remember, Snowdisk on location.
17:55God almighty, it's chaotic.
17:58Austin just hit The Rock, right in the damn head.
18:02He died with a monitor.
18:03Well, that's clearly an assault.
18:06Clearly, Stone Cold Steve Austin is willing to assault the champion to win the title.
18:13How do you call an assault when there's no disqualification?
18:18Because that's what it was.
18:20And who made the no DQ rule anyway?
18:2567,000 here in the Astrodome.
18:31Looking on at this epic battle.
18:34There's a cover.
18:36The Rock down.
18:37And that's gonna, no!
18:38No!
18:40The Rock able to get a silver out.
18:42I don't, Stone Cold Cold friendly, Paul.
18:46Couldn't believe that.
18:47I can't believe it.
18:49What, what intestinal fortitude by The Rock.
18:52What guts.
18:53He's so driven to remain the champion.
19:02Rock, right here.
19:05Rock looking for the sharp shooter.
19:08He got it.
19:09Rock looking for the sharp shooter.
19:12The dream ends here.
19:14The comeback ends here.
19:16And now The Rock has the sharp shooter on Austin.
19:20Swishing for Horton Harden Austin.
19:22A WrestleMania pass, Austin has his Not snapped.
19:28He got on redneck.
19:30But not being able to lash long here, and then center shooter.
19:36Yes, yes.
19:38Austin, bleeding for this thing.
19:41Definitely reaching for the rope but he couldn't get it.
19:43The Rock, The Rock dragged Austin back into the middle of the wing and the challenger.
19:48Is it a world of hope right now?
19:51Austin tried to bridge up, and low call to the bone of the rock.
19:56And Austin got to the rope, but rock will break the hole.
20:02But man, you, man, the damage has damn sure been done.
20:06And doesn't that just break your heart?
20:08Steve Austin's number one fan has to witness the dream end,
20:13has to witness the comeback die right here in front of his very eyes.
20:19What do you care about, Austin, my friend?
20:21What's up to you?
20:22Cuz I'm sick of how biased you are.
20:24Shut up.
20:25Stone Cold Steve Austin.
20:27You think he's the end all deal.
20:29You can do no wrong.
20:30You're right.
20:33You're right.
20:33The rock just pipped off Austin.
20:36And now the rattlesnake.
20:38The rattlesnake stepping through.
20:42And Austin now with a sharp shooter on the rock.
20:47Austin with a sharp shooter on the rock.
20:50The title hangs to the ball is here.
20:55And off of the rock bridging out.
20:59The champion, a bloody mess.
21:02The challenger, a bloody mess, and the title on the line.
21:06He's so close, yet so far away from those rocks.
21:11The rock cannot reach the rocks.
21:13The rock may tap out at any moment.
21:16This fast on the rock, but what strength he had left.
21:20And those legs able to free himself.
21:26Stone Cold right back to where coming in.
21:29God, this is getting ugly.
21:31This is getting ultra ugly.
21:38The challenger for the title is in firm control.
21:45And Austin with a sharp shooter again on the rock.
21:49The champion may be a heartbeat away from tapping out.
21:56Can Austin realize his dream in his home state.
22:02And the rock will not quit.
22:05He's in the ropes just like Austin was earlier.
22:09Just keep in mind, the winner of this match wins at the expense of his opponent.
22:16And for Austin to realize his dream, he has to realize it at the expense of the rock.
22:25Austin with a sharp kick right to the face.
22:29No disqualification warfare in the Reliant Astrodome.
22:37Austin, a million dollar dream.
22:40Austin topped that hold by Ted DiBiase when he was the ringmaster.
22:44What won't Steve Austin do to become the champion?
22:49Austin hasn't used that maneuver in years.
22:52And the rock is fading.
22:55The champion is fading.
23:00And so may be the most coveted prize in the business.
23:05Austin is pulling out all stops.
23:07And the rock is clearly in trouble here.
23:10It's almost over.
23:14But not quite yet.
23:19The rock climbing the ladder.
23:24He's got it.
23:27Austin barely, barely able to kick out.
23:31And Austin can't believe that exchange.
23:34Brilliant counter wrestling by The Rock.
23:37He forced Stone Cold to let go of the million dollar dream.
23:41For if Austin didn't let go, his shoulders would be pinned to the mat.
23:47Austin now the tear cut advantage.
23:49The battle is in his sight.
23:54But what's it gonna take to put The Rock's shoulders down for free?
23:59Austin scores with the right hands.
24:02Reverse.
24:03Stunner.
24:04The Rock scores with a stunner on Austin.
24:07I don't believe it.
24:08But can he follow up?
24:10Can The Rock follow up on The Stunner?
24:13The Rock score with Austin's own stunner.
24:17The Ronald Snig is down.
24:19Don't tell me The Rock's gonna beat Austin in Texas with a Stone Cold stunner.
24:25It's gonna, no, Austin.
24:27Austin kicked out and rolled to his guts.
24:30How close, how close can The Rock get to putting away Stone Cold Steve Austin
24:37with Austin's own finishing maneuver?
24:40Hey, wait a minute.
24:43What the hell is this about?
24:52What the hell is he doing out here?
24:54He's coming out to the inside.
24:56The man has a- How do you know what he's coming to do?
24:59I didn't say I know.
25:00I was giving you my analysis.
25:02And my analysis is, the man has a billion dollar investment in the outcome of this match.
25:09So McMahon is coming out here simply to see the conclusion of this title match.
25:15Well, he got his ass whooped earlier by his own son in that street fight.
25:20Mike, McMahon has no love loss for either The Rock or Austin.
25:27And McMahon's sitting here on ringside.
25:29Austin with a spine buster.
25:31Down goes The Rock.
25:32That could be over here.
25:34The leg is hooked.
25:34My God.
25:36God almighty.
25:38How close was that?
25:39And Austin can't believe it.
25:40Austin can't believe it and neither can I.
25:43The Rock keeps on coming.
25:45You can't stop The Rock.
25:47The Rock has earned my admiration and respect here at WrestleMania.
25:52The Rock no doubt a great champion.
25:55But for how much longer?
25:58Spine buster.
25:59The Rock caught Austin in the spine buster.
26:02But can he follow up?
26:04Can The Rock follow up on the spine buster?
26:08Both these men have lost a lot of blood.
26:10The fatigue.
26:11The wear and tear in their bodies.
26:13And we may be about to see.
26:16The most elective Bryan move is Fork's Entertainment.
26:20The people's elbow.
26:25And this will be, it's gotta be off.
26:30The Rock's got the cover.
26:32Wait a minute.
26:35McMahon just pulled The Rock off of Austin.
26:38What the hell did he do that for?
26:42Why did Rich McMahon-
26:44What the hell was that about?
26:51And the Rock now look at the hole of the chairman.
26:56Look out.
26:58Rock tested Mr. McMahon.
27:01What did McMahon back in the ring?
27:04Put right by Austin.
27:06Austin!
27:07Rock bottom!
27:08Rock bottom!
27:09Rock bottom!
27:11Rock bottom!
27:11Austin scores at the rock bottom!
27:13Rock bottom!
27:13It's over!
27:14We gotta know!
27:17My God Austin!
27:19I thought he had it!
27:20I thought he had it!
27:22Steve Austin wants the title so badly he forsake his hatred for Vince McMahon and went straight
27:31for The Rock and was inches away from being the champion.
27:39Austin!
27:40Austin now, measuring, looking for the stunner, a work block, a poor old hammer.
27:45Got hit right in the face and went to the floor.
27:49Referee out to the floor.
27:53The referee has been knocked to the floor and we need some medical help.
27:57Man, a low blow by Austin.
28:00No despite of occasions.
28:04What won't Steve Austin do?
28:06Wait a minute.
28:08Austin just told, Austin just told Vince and give him a tear.
28:16What the hell is this?
28:23Austin just told-
28:25They're teeming up a tear.
28:27This can't be.
28:28I don't know what the hell this is, but this can't.
28:34God almighty, what a vile tear shot.
28:37I thought The Rock would have ducked.
28:39Everybody couldn't.
28:40Steve Austin just held The Rock for Vince McMahon to smack him into half of the chair.
28:46What the hell is Austin demanded that McMahon bring the chair in?
28:52Vince is putting the referee in.
28:53I can't believe this.
28:55The Rock got his shoulder out.
29:00And Austin is, my God, all right.
29:07Why did Austin tell one of his most hated rivals in his life?
29:15Forget that.
29:16Why did Vince McMahon give him the chair?
29:20That's what I'm asking.
29:21We are witnessing something that will be talked about for years to come.
29:27Wait, look out.
29:29The Rock got it.
29:31The Rock scores and The Rock got it.

30:11The Rock kicked out of the stunner.
30:16My God.
30:20But why is this McMahon, what's McMahon gonna do with the chair?
30:24He handed the chair to Stone Cold Steve Austin.
30:28What the hell is this about?
30:30There's no way that Austin and McMahon could ever, could ever have any kind of,
30:34I don't, for God's sakes.
30:39McMahon handed Austin the chair.
30:41And Austin and Austin, he handed The Rock.
30:45One, two, three, three.
30:46The Rock won't stay down.
30:50The Rock's heart is beating.
30:54And he won't stop.

31:46And new World Wrestling Federation champion, Stone Cold Steve Austin.
31:56What the hell is this?
31:58Austin face to face with McMahon.
32:00What the hell is this?
32:08They're shaking hands.
32:10Stone Cold is shaking hands with Satan himself.
32:14For the love of God.
32:16That would tell me this is not happening.
32:19It's happening.
32:20Stone Cold Steve Austin has sold his soul for the WWF title.
32:29We are witnessing something that will be talked about for years to come.
32:35I don't believe this.

32:38What the hell?
32:39Son of a bitch.
32:40Son of a bitch.

32:43Still drinking a damn beer of Mr. McMahon.
32:48Stone Cold has thrown his soul to Satan himself to win the WWF title.
32:53Why Steve?
32:54Why this way?
32:58For the love of God, Texas or not, why is Stone Cold?
33:08McMahon and Austin are together.
33:12Vince McMahon and Stone Cold Steve Austin are together.
33:17Austin McMahon made us work.
33:19Might as well urinate on a rock.
33:21That's what they've done to him.
33:23I can't believe this.
33:24I thought I knew Austin.
33:26I thought I knew the Texas Rattlesnake.
33:31Stone Cold has sold out his fans.
33:35He sold you and all of his fans right down the river.
33:39And you know what?
33:40You have to say the Leopard never changes his spot because he's a Rattlesnake.
33:46And that's what a Rattlesnake will do.
33:49I don't believe this.
33:50Believe it.
33:51I thought I knew that man.
33:53I thought I knew Steve Austin.
33:55I was there in the hospital and he came out of surgery.
33:58I thought I knew him.
34:00He would never.
34:02I thought he would never ever.
34:05What now?

34:42And I don't like it a damn bit.
34:44Well, is that a damn thing you can do about it?
34:47Because Stone Cold and Mr. McMahon are together.
34:52Look at the look on Austin's face here.
34:55You're gonna run a round of animals.
34:58I knew that Steve wanted to win the WWE title.
35:02But bad enough to sell their soul to find God's sake himself.
35:07This is a relentless, perverse, animalistic attack on another human being.
35:14This is the action of the new WWE Champion.
35:20These are the actions of Stone Cold Steve Austin.
35:24A new Stone Cold Steve Austin, who has been fighting Mr. McMahon.
35:30But why?
35:31By God, I wanna know why.
35:33We deserve to know why.
35:35Why does Stone Cold sell his soul to Satan himself?
35:39We deserve to know why.
35:41We deserve to know why.
