00:01:30And you can really sense the anticipation and the crowd ahead of kickoff with their respective league seasons about to

00:01:36get underway. It is Peck's wallet up against Ajax.

00:01:40Well, the first game is always exciting, particularly when the visitors are favourites to win the title. Today should give

00:01:46us a good idea how good they really are.

00:01:51It's always difficult to predict in advance who might decide a game, but you could make a strong case for

00:01:56this man, I think, Stuart. What are you expecting to see from him?

00:01:59He's certainly the man to watch. In the last game, scored those three goals, but his general play was outstanding.

00:02:04He looked a threat whenever he got the ball, and I'm sure he's going to be the same threat today

00:02:08against this defence.

00:02:11The initial 11 today for the hosts.

00:02:14Well, although it's down as a 4-5-1, it's more likely to be three players in behind the main

00:02:19centre-forward, and those three are key to this team's creativity.

00:02:38And here's the starting line-up for Ajax.

00:02:42Well, it's a 4-3-3 formation with a centre-forward and two wingers, so it's important that the midfield

00:02:47players give support to the striker whenever the ball goes wide. They can't allow him to be isolated.

00:03:06So, off and running here, the first half under way.

00:03:24And the keeper, oh, on to the first!

00:03:30The high press was very much on. Well, that's hard to play against. They could be in here.

00:03:37And the fine tackle.

00:03:46Can he get them in front?

00:03:49A goal in the early stages.

00:03:52Precisely what they had been planning.

00:04:07Well, let's take another look, and it doesn't come much closer than this, does it?

00:04:11He just squeezed it in off that post. Very good finish.

00:04:39So, the match has restarted. 1-0 here.

00:04:55The defenders, though, you can't really allow space like that.

00:04:58A real opening now.

00:05:01They've only gone and grabbed another one.

00:05:04Two goals in quick succession.

00:05:06Now they have the lead.

00:05:08No wonder they're celebrating.

00:05:15Well, just look at the defending here.

00:05:17The keeper is left totally exposed.

00:05:19It's an easy goal in the end, but well taken.

00:05:35And the ball is moving again.

00:05:362-0 is how it stands.

00:05:44Well, a good place to win it back, and let's see what it means to.

00:05:49And taken cleanly by the goalkeeper.

00:05:56Well, three starts in a row for him now.

00:05:59Oh, big chance here, Derek.

00:06:05And it goes!

00:06:06The lead just gets bigger.

00:06:08Surely they can't let this slip now.

00:06:20Well, here it is again, and I have to say, the defending is so poor.

00:06:23They make so many bad decisions there.

00:06:25No wonder the keeper's exposed.

00:06:42And the ball is rolling again, with Ajax really starting to accelerate away.

00:07:08He has teammates around him.

00:07:11And losing the ball there.

00:07:13That was really good defending.

00:07:15Could catch them on the break.

00:07:24He's in behind.

00:07:30A goal!

00:07:31An exceptional performance, this.

00:07:34Four to the good now.

00:07:50Well, as you can see, they finish this really easily.

00:07:53They don't give the keeper a chance, do they?

00:07:54That's a good goal.

00:08:05So, on with the game here.

00:08:07But I'll tell you what, the moods in the two caps couldn't be more contrasting.

00:08:16This looks more than decent.

00:08:18Oh, there it is!

00:08:19It's one goal after another, and it speaks to the quality of that performance.

00:08:29Well, here we can see it again.

00:08:31Look at the way he glides past the defender to create space for himself.

00:08:34And when he gets on to it, he decides to go for power.

00:08:37It's a really emphatic finish, which gives the keeper no chance.

00:08:41My goodness, it's so one-sided.

00:08:445-0 in this match.

00:08:50Plenty of support here.

00:08:55Throwing his luck.

00:08:57Oh, that's a fine save.

00:09:16Who can they pick out?

00:09:23And his instincts were strong.

00:09:41Might lead to a chance.

00:09:45And he's made headway.

00:09:46And keeping it out.

00:09:55Couldn't keep the move going.

00:09:59Well, that was incisive.

00:10:06Oh, big chance.

00:10:09In it goes!

00:10:11He's made it a brace for himself.

00:10:13No stopping him, apparently.

00:10:25Well, here it is.

00:10:261v1 against the keeper, and the outcome was never really in doubt.

00:10:29He never looked like this in that.

00:10:47A chance, then, for the respective managers to address their charges.

00:10:51It is half-time here.

00:10:56And we're focusing on him for a reason, Stuart.

00:10:58He's asking plenty of questions of the defenders.

00:11:01Well, he scored good goals, but his all-round play has been excellent.

00:11:04He looks like scoring every time.

00:11:06He looks like scoring every time he gets on the ball.

00:11:12The defenders know you can't really allow space like that.

00:11:16A real opening now.

00:11:21They've only gone and grabbed another one.

00:11:24Two goals in quick succession.

00:11:26Now they have the lead.

00:11:27One's others.

00:11:54I think they have the lead.

00:12:36And away they go again.

00:12:38And quite honestly, a huge gulp between the sides.

00:12:49Plenty of support here.

00:12:54Can he deliver?

00:12:56A goal!

00:12:57We're really being spoiled.

00:13:00This is attacking football at its finest.

00:13:10Well, here it is again.

00:13:11He goes past his markers so easily with just a drop of the shoulder.

00:13:15And he makes the finish look so easy.

00:13:16What a good goal that is.

00:13:35Well, I suppose it doesn't matter who solves the problem.

00:13:50Well, you can't afford to stand off him.

00:13:56Well, snuffed it out completely.

00:13:59Well, Spurs have been trying for a while to get this deal over the line.

00:14:02And now it is over the line, Stuart.

00:14:05Well, it's an exciting transfer, isn't it?

00:14:07He'll add a lot of quality to his new club and you'd expect him to have an impact straight away.

00:14:11Good player and fair value for him, I think.

00:14:22Just the challenge that was required.

00:14:24Just the challenge that was required.

00:14:32Now, options are plenty.

00:14:47That is a magnificent run.

00:14:49Can they stop it going in?

00:14:53Well, that's a set.

00:14:54What a moment!

00:15:06Wasteful from Ajax.

00:15:08What a challenge!

00:15:09Purely and simply.

00:15:11Well, defending doesn't get much better than that.

00:15:15Oh, you'll have a go!

00:15:16Well, good hands there from the keeper.

00:15:24Annoyingly, there it breaks down.

00:15:27Well, I don't think that effort remotely qualifies as respectable.

00:15:31And the reason it's off target, because the technique was really poor on that occasion.

00:15:35That's not a good effort.

00:15:51And into the last 20 minutes.

00:15:56And a clear foul.

00:15:59So, making the substitution now.

00:16:20Ajax have controlled the possession.

00:16:22And that's been because of their ability to win the ball back so quickly.

00:16:26Their pressing has been excellent.

00:16:27And they just haven't stopped working.

00:16:29It's been a fantastic performance up to now.

00:16:31Well, first, they have a bit of defending to do.

00:16:34Well, they have it back.

00:16:37It's looking promising.

00:16:42There's 15 minutes remaining.

00:16:45Not too damaged on the break.

00:16:48Oh, genuine chance.

00:16:49And in!

00:16:51Oh, yes!

00:16:52Exactly what they were hoping to produce.

00:16:54They've delivered the goal.

00:17:01Well, here it is again.

00:17:02And it's all about the pacing transition.

00:17:04They're so quick to get out from the back.

00:17:06And once he gets onto it, he just smashes it past the keeper with great technique.

00:17:10What an emphatic finish that is.

00:17:33Oh, that was a dreadful tackle.

00:17:36And electing to book him for that.

00:17:38He's earned that with a clumsy challenge.

00:18:05And a good challenge to bring that attack to an end.

00:18:10He's delivered into the box.

00:18:12And you need your defender to take charge.

00:18:20Very quick thinking there.

00:18:21Very quick thinking there.

00:18:40determined defending, quick break could be on, a move that had great potential falling

00:18:48apart, oh what an opportunity, in it goes, he's made it a brace for himself, no stopping

00:19:01him apparently, well as you can see, he's a great talent, what a run, what a goal and

00:19:16what a play he is, a message delivered from the referee to the fourth official, three

00:19:35minutes on the board, and the pass deftly cut out,

00:19:48well there goes the final whistle, and it's all gone to plan for the visiting fans, three

00:19:53points for them, yeah they should be happy with that, it was a good display and it's

00:19:58always, oh big chance,

00:20:37sort of a banyak, it's all gone, it was a time to get hurt and be like I am not

00:20:38going

00:20:38to see the trivia, it's all gone, we've never had a job, we've never had a job with that,

00:20:38we're not going to be talking about what is going on, no matter what, you don't want to

00:20:38kind of want to get hurt, I think we're going to be talking about that, one of the the

00:20:38things that people would think is and and and and and and and and and and and and and

00:20:38have a story that we've been talking about, yeah we don't know about a lot of

00:30:15And Ajax,

00:33:17What can you,

00:33:19thank you,

00:33:58thank you,

00:34:46thank you,

00:35:15thank you,

00:35:17thank you,

00:35:19thank you,

00:35:46thank you,

00:35:49thank you,

00:35:49he's,

00:36:12That is that

00:36:13for the first half here.

00:36:19Well, there's a sound reason why we're focusing on him.

00:36:22He's making his presence felt in attack, Stuart.

00:36:24Yeah, I've been impressed by him.

00:36:26He's posed such a threat and fully deserved his goal.

00:36:38So the first half begins.

00:36:40Let's see what unfolds.

00:37:14Let's see what unfolds.

00:37:15Let's see what unfolds.

00:37:23Team's back in position.

00:37:24Second half underway.

00:37:28Ah, the art of beating your opponent.

00:37:31Well, fared a lot better that time.

00:37:43Aroko Dari.

00:38:00Well, here's the replay, and it's a brilliant turn to buy himself that bit of space.

00:38:04And then, of course, the finish.

00:38:05That's a great bit of play in the box.

00:38:23So the action continues.

00:38:24And what a masterclass from Ajax.

00:38:26You sense it's a question of how many.

00:38:35Well, let's call it a meaty effort, but certainly not accurate enough.

00:39:02Well, there's been a lot of speculation as regards this transfer and whether it would go ahead.

00:39:06It's finally been confirmed, Stuart.

00:39:09Yes, it's an exciting move for him, and hopefully we'll now see the best of him.

00:39:13But he'll need to settle in quickly to win over the fans.

00:39:15The move suits everybody, I think.

00:39:20Is it going to be?

00:39:22Oh, a powerful effort.

00:39:24Close.

00:39:35Foul, but rightly play on.

00:39:39And room to roam on the wing for Ajax.

00:39:42Oh, it's fallen for him.

00:39:43A strong hand on the ball.

00:39:51And behind it's gone for a corner.

00:39:55So the manager decides to go to the bench.

00:39:58A little bit of a quiet performance from him today.

00:40:05Who can they pick out?

00:40:07And straight into the keeper's gloves.

00:40:10You can't waste corners like that.

00:40:16Well, Ajax have it back now.

00:40:28Thoughtful play.

00:40:30Oh, it might be.

00:40:32But quite simply, not precise enough from that position.

00:41:04Will it go in?

00:41:06A goal!

00:41:07An exceptional performance, this.

00:41:10Four to the good now.

00:41:17As the replay shows us, this is the way to beat tight Mark.

00:41:20Just look how he turns with the ball.

00:41:22That's a fantastic goal, you have to say.

00:41:38And this is turning into something of a route.

00:41:42Four nil.

00:41:52Two for the goal kick.

00:41:59He hits it with power.

00:42:00Five.

00:42:08Find awareness to intercept.

00:42:21perfect challenge

00:42:25making a bit of headway

00:42:28what was the chance they could get caught out on the break here

00:42:33and the push remains on

00:42:35will it be

00:42:36oh there it is

00:42:38it's one goal after another

00:42:40and it speaks to the quality of that performance

00:42:49well let's do this again

00:42:51this is counter-attacking football at its very best

00:42:53and there's certainly no doubt about the finish

00:42:55he really hits it with power and accuracy

00:42:57nothing the keeper can do about that

00:43:11so the match has restarted

00:43:13but you do feel that is that

00:43:24determined defending

00:43:31there's the shot

00:43:34oh beating his opponent with ease

00:43:36and inches away

00:43:38didn't miss by very much at all

00:43:59and so into the final five minutes

00:44:04just about the perfect pass

00:44:06they could be in

00:44:09just the challenge that was required

00:44:14and he has options available

00:44:20might be a chance here

00:44:24and a goal to delight the fans

00:44:26just what they were hoping for

00:44:39well just for going to suppose the keeper is

00:44:41he's got absolutely no chance there

00:44:43but they do take it well you have to say

00:45:01well that's some out and out pasting

00:45:046-0

00:45:14and there it is

00:45:16the final whistle

00:45:17and the fans will be leaving the stadium

00:45:19with smiles on their faces

00:45:21as we've seen

00:45:22they're a good team

00:45:24they've got talented players

00:45:25and they have a decent coach

00:45:26this should be an excellent season for them

00:45:33Aroko Dari

00:45:35there's the shots

00:46:04there's theenga

00:46:05no

00:46:06games

00:46:06yeah

00:46:07job

00:52:39And the first half is underway.

00:54:22This could be...

00:55:41And we're back...

00:55:41Well, we're back...

00:56:13And we're back...

00:56:43And we're back...

00:57:22And we're back...

00:58:08And we're back...

00:58:18And we're back...

00:58:58And we're back...

00:59:13And we're back...

00:59:26And we're back...

00:59:35And we're back...

00:59:36And we're back...

01:00:06We're back under way, 45 more minutes to come.

01:00:16Really good pass.

01:00:20Now to finish it.

01:00:22Oh, he's kept it out.

01:00:23Oh, that's strong goalkeeping.

01:00:25Didn't know that Knierton made himself hard to beat.

01:00:39And here it comes.

01:00:42Oh, it's a nightmare for him that.

01:00:44It looks a really good chance to score.

01:00:55Fans are right behind them.

01:00:56And those in charge know that this game is key to winning their hearts.

01:01:00Yeah, a win here would give the manager all the bragging rights she needs, wouldn't it?

01:01:11Well read to gain possession.

01:01:14And he has options aplenty.

01:01:25They might be in.

01:01:29Oh, they looked in there.

01:01:30That's nicely cut out.

01:01:32That's exactly the kind of defending you want, isn't it?

01:01:35Just smart and composed.

01:01:49They need to be better on the ball than that.

01:02:07Could get back in it.

01:02:08Nothing to worry about there.

01:02:15And teammates around him and stopped in their tracks with a change in possession.

01:02:21A transfer that's been bubbling for a while and it's now confirmed.

01:02:25Worth the wait, would you say?

01:02:27Yeah, I think it's a good transfer.

01:02:29It'll certainly add quality to the squad and it's important that he starts well just to help him settle in.

01:02:34It's a good bit of business though, I think.

01:02:37An attack that's come to nothing.

01:02:40I really stood firm there, didn't he?

01:02:43This is what they've been looking for, the counter attack.

01:02:47Couldn't have asked for better here.

01:02:49Off the upright.

01:02:51Terrific.

01:02:52Another goal.

01:02:53What a scoreline this is for them.

01:03:07Well, here it is again and look at the reactions here.

01:03:10As the shot comes in, he's on his toes waiting for the rebound and he gets his reward with the

01:03:14goal.

01:03:15Fire!

01:03:19Fire!

01:03:20Fire!

01:03:21Fire!

01:03:23Fire!

01:03:24Fire!

01:03:26Fire!

01:03:27So it's 3-0 as the game restarts.

01:03:29NUMINATION.

01:03:30JOSPEL DORNE.

01:03:36He'll have a go here.

01:03:38Very, very close, but hit too hard to get the bend that was needed to score.

01:03:45A sub about to come on.

01:03:49Fire!

01:03:51Fire!

01:03:53Fire!

01:03:56Fifteen minutes remain.

01:04:02Able to skip past there.

01:04:06Oh, not quite.

01:04:07Intervene nicely there.

01:04:11Able to skip past there.

01:04:14He's got teammates around him.

01:04:19And the promise of something happening is over.

01:04:23There's something on here.

01:04:24A chance to attack.

01:04:25And I'm afraid that's where it ends for them.

01:04:27And that's a decent save.

01:04:29At least certainly made to look that way.

01:04:33Fire!

01:04:35Fire!

01:04:40Fire!

01:04:44Fire!

01:04:46Fire!

01:04:47Fire!

01:04:48Fire!

01:04:49Fire!

01:04:51Fire!

01:04:52Fire!

01:05:07Fire!

01:05:08Fire!

01:05:09Fire!

01:05:11Fire!

01:05:12Fire!

01:05:15Fire!

01:05:16Fire!

01:05:17Fire!

01:05:19Fire!

01:05:20Fire!

01:05:24Ball lost and gratefully received

01:05:27And still going here

01:05:29There's a chance for them to go now

01:05:31A really good opportunity

01:05:34But the execution hardly tested the keeper

01:06:00And it's all over

01:06:02With the away fans able to celebrate the win

01:06:05And the three points

01:06:06Yeah, another good result

01:06:08And you can't complain

01:06:09Maximum points after three games

01:06:11They just look like a team who's full of confidence

01:06:14There's a real togetherness in the squad

01:06:16And that's coming across on the pitch

01:06:18Really impressive so far

01:06:20This is the table as it stands

01:06:29Couldn't have asked for better here

01:06:33And it's in

01:06:35Near silence in large parts of the ground

01:06:38As the first goal in the dark

01:06:40This could get interesting

01:06:50Get rid of the table as you can
