00:03And Shawn Michaels is not going to waste any time for
00:06Michaels to fix the pace here.
00:08And Bret Hart fighting back with round hands.
00:11Bret Hart will win a fist fight.
00:14Shawn Michaels will win a fast paced matchup.
00:17And Bret Hart is not mixing any of his technical expertise.
00:22It's just hard, hard-run hands.
00:27Bret Hart so badly wants to damage him.
00:29It's the good of Shawn Michaels.
00:31There's a close line.
00:33Michaels goes up and over.
00:37Come on, Bret Hart.
00:39Come on, Bret Hart.
00:40And Paul Michaels faced first into the ring post.
00:44I don't think this match has officially even started.
00:46I think you're right.
00:47We haven't heard the bell.
00:50And a referee, Earl Hebner, the senior official,
00:54has yet to start this matchup.
00:56But we've got one heck of a Donnybrook going right here.
01:00Michael's trying to block the steps there.
01:03I'm looking over at the timekeeper.
01:05He's looking at the referee.
01:08I don't think it's really officially underway.
01:16Michael's coming into the rally.
01:18And here comes Bret Hart by Andre.
01:20My God, Shawn Michaels is in no man's land.
01:27Your heart...
01:28And I see in a Canadian, and Michael's being pummeled.
01:35It's about 2,500 something against one right now.
01:44This is chaotic.
01:46Shawn had better somehow get back in the ring.
01:49This match may not happen, Michaels may never make it back.
01:55Look at Michaels' body, all red.
01:58His whoops on his body, on his chest, on his back.
02:03Commissioner Slaughter and
02:05a handful of referees are down here.
02:07Vince McMahon.
02:08Vince McMahon is here.
02:10We thought this was gonna get out of hands.
02:12All kinds of speculation regarding Bret Hart and his future.
02:16Everybody's got the answer.
02:18Everybody knows the story.
02:19Be ready to move.
02:21Now Shawn Michaels is taken back over.
02:25I guarantee you this match is gonna happen here come hell or high water.
02:29The referees, three of them, Sergeant Slaughter, they're all screaming get back to the ring.
02:33But nobody is listening.
02:36Michaels has pushed the cameraman out of the way.
02:38Wow.
02:38Hart went face first into the steel steps.
02:42Come on Shawn, get into the ring.
02:48Michaels is now choking Bret Hart.
02:51And yes, we talked about speculation.
02:53There has been a lot of speculation that if Bret Hart loses this match,
02:59that this will be his last match in the WWF.
03:05And now Michaels goes Bret Hart outside.
03:09Michaels turning the table.
03:11Go ahead.
03:12Has the match really even started getting it?
03:15Go.
03:19Michael's now is dominating Bret Hart.
03:24Bret Hart just ate a mouthful of security railings.
03:32And the folks in the front row are getting one of the first out of the game.
03:36Look at this.
03:37Look out.
03:41Michael's back drop back to the ring from the first row over the rail back to the floor.
03:53That was a low blow by Bret Hart.
03:57That was a low blow by Bret Hart.
04:01What does McMahon think he's doing out there?
04:06He wants to get the match started.
04:11And we're going to deliver it, or at least I hope we can.
04:21Bret Hart, Alabama Michaels right on the floor, which is certainly very unforgiving.
04:36The Hitman again, my God, what a suplexed.
04:40Michael's just suplexed all over the concrete.
04:49I have never seen so many referees.
04:52I've never seen so much security.
04:55There you go.
04:56They may clear some of it out on their own now.
04:59Pat Patterson just took a shot.
05:02Pat Patterson a Hall of Famer from right here in Montreal.
05:09This is, this looks like a locker room in Hart Hart.
05:14Come here, slimy skin ass right here.
05:17You know what, Ron Paul?
05:19Michael just rammed Hart right into referee Tim White.
05:23Right, this is just what you gotta love.
05:26It's a good old fashioned fight.
05:28It's just a down and dirty fight between two guys that hate each other's guts.
05:33It's a damn sheer slobber knocker.
05:50That's a fire extinguisher.
05:56Well, they both done enough for each other to be disqualified.
06:00There's no doubt about that.
06:01However, I don't think that this match has ever been started.
06:08There you see Vince McMahon there trying to convince these guys to get in the ring.
06:14Come on, come on.
06:20This way.
06:21Check out.
06:25Bret Hart just knocked down referee Jack Doan.
06:28This is so personal.
06:31Such vile, intense feelings between these men.
06:44You ever try to stop a fight between two people that really hate each other?
06:47They'll both turn on you.
06:57They're making their way, I thought.
07:00Back up to the ring.
07:01Michael's knocked down again.
07:13Michael's almost out on his feet.
07:17And again, Michael's ran into the security railing.
07:32Michael's tossed in the ring.
07:34I'm about to ring the bell, Red, to get this number right.
07:39Ring the bell.
07:41The match has started.
07:59Michael's is so resilient.
08:03Michael's is younger.
08:05He isn't carrying as much body weight as Bret Hart.
08:07And he's gonna need all those attributes to survive at the Survivor Series.
08:18Michael's right.
08:18Michael's right there.
08:19I'm sure it wasn't that complimentary to the Hitman, inverted atomic drop.
08:26And right now, at this point in time, Bret Hart is owning the challenge.
08:31Right.
08:31And you usually talk to somebody when you're kicking their butt, not when you're getting
08:35your butt kicked.
08:36That would really make me mad.
08:38That would really make me mad.
08:40And a flying forearm that comes to Hitman.
08:44Michaels, with his superior quickness, knocked down Bret Hart with a flying forearm right off the ropes.
08:50That's the explosive element that Michaels brings to the dance.
08:57Michaels, he measured that one, King.
09:00Michaels measured that kick right to Bret's face.
09:12Michaels with a flat of the foot, again, in the face of the Hitman.
09:16And Michaels now, I think that's a flag of Quebec around Bret Hart's neck.
09:23And Bret Hart looks to be bleeding from some part of his anatomy.
09:26It looks like maybe it's his hand, his knuckles.
09:28His knuckles busted.
09:29I'm not real sure.
09:30Well, he probably busted him on Shawn Michaels' head.
09:38Michaels now in control.
09:40Michaels measuring Bret Hart.
09:44Michaels unusually methodical in his approach at this point in time in the match.
09:51Yes, he is brash.
09:53Yeah.
09:53I mean, the biggest match of your life, the biggest match probably in the history of the
09:58World Wrestling Federation, and he stopped and takes time out to mess with the fans.
10:04Well, he certainly isn't precious as to whom he insults.
10:09If you're here, you're breathing.
10:11You're fair game.
10:13And the reigning European champion, by the way, the European title is not at stake in this
10:18match.
10:29Michael's stinging jab and then a right hand.
10:36Michael's now measuring Bret Hart.
10:38Michael's may have more cardiovascular conditioning here.
10:43Michael's, again, is so resilient.
10:46Remember what Michael's did, King, and Samuel lost just a month ago against The Undertaker
10:51in that cage.
10:52He survived and won, thanks to King.
10:55Hell in a cell, I remember.
11:00Well, they're moving furniture now.
11:02My God, look at this.
11:06What's he gonna do here?
11:14Michael's now on Bret Hart's face, flat on that step, just got stomped.
11:19And now Michael's reaching for the Maple Leaf.
11:28And Michael's using that black hole to drive it right into the anatomy of Bret Hart.
11:33I got him in the throat, I think.
11:39Michael's has, he has gained firm control.
11:47Right now he's got firm control of the Hitman's hair.
11:51Look out.
11:54No doubt a close fist there, but who's counting?
12:03Michael's has done it all.
12:07Grand slam winner.
12:09Nobody else has ever done that.
12:11And Michael's double sleds right off the top.
12:16And you can almost feel Michael's continue to build and build and build the momentum.
12:28Hard front face lock.
12:32One of the most elementary moves in the game, but one of the most painful.
12:36Trying to wear the man down now.
12:38I think you're right.
12:39I think that Shawn Michaels feels like he is in the driver's seat.
12:43That's a move right from the Stu Hart's dungeon.
12:47An old front face lock where you just grind that forearm right into your opponent's face,
12:53right across his jaw.
12:55It's a hole of control.
12:58Uh-oh.
13:02It's almost a little slap in the face for Bret Hart because that's something,
13:07the front face lock that you would expect Bret Hart to utilize.
13:10Right, and ordinarily by this time, you'd see the Hitman already going downstairs,
13:16starting to weaken the legs of his opponent, but we haven't seen that.
13:19Instead, we see Shawn Michaels.
13:24Almost in control, but not anymore.
13:28Bret Hart now able to counter, and Bret Hart looking to go downstairs,
13:33driving the knee, the elbow to the knee.
13:36I'm a prophet.
13:39And Shawn Michaels wrecking at the face.
13:42Michael certainly sensing that Bret Hart was gonna start to soften up Shawn's legs
13:47and set Michaels up for the sharpshooter.
13:49Right.
14:05And now Bret Hart focusing on the left knee of Shawn Michaels, who again goes to the face to rake
14:11the eyes for the counter.
14:16Bret Hart gasping for air.
14:19This match really taking its toll, obviously, out of both these athletes.
14:24I think it was the match before the match that took the toll on everybody.
14:29I guess that was just a little bonus for all the fans watching, not only here but on pay-per
14:35-view.
14:36A cross body, wait a minute.
14:38Drop rolls through, and Michaels kicked out.
14:44Shawn Michaels with a cross body, and it was countered by Bret Hart,
14:47who again goes right back downstairs.
14:49If Bret Hart gets the advantage and feels the advantage in the Legs King,
14:53he won't go anywhere else.
14:54You're right, because all that's in the back of his mind is the sharpshooter.
14:58Here he goes, he's setting him up for him right now.
15:02Ooh, you can hear that.
15:05Michaels leg right off the ring pose.
15:07I hope that wasn't a ball snapping.
15:08And now, it's Bret Hart with a figure four leg lock on Shawn Michaels.
15:19Michaels could have his leg snapped.
15:22Michaels is trying to hold on, but the damage has been done.
15:28Bret breaks before the count of five.
15:31If you can believe that, there's no disqualification on that exchange.
15:38But the damage has been done to the challenger's legs.
15:41Without a doubt, and I thought I saw Shawn Michaels' head shaking in a yes fashion.
15:47But I guess the referee didn't think that.
15:49Well, it wouldn't count it anyway, Bret Hart was outside the ring.
15:52It may be sharpshooter time.
15:54He may be moments away from a sharpshooter as Bret Hart continues to torture the leg of Shawn Michaels.
16:03My God.
16:16Well, the Canadian hero is pulling out every dirty trick that he can to counteract the same dirty tricks that
16:27Shawn Michaels has been utilizing.
16:32I don't know if that.
16:33Here we go.
16:34Here we go.
16:35No.
16:36Grab.
16:36Bigger four.
16:38Bigger four leg lock.
16:42Michaels has fighting.
16:44How much longer?
16:45It can't be much longer.
16:47Shawn Michaels gives it up.
16:49And he's got the survivors here.
16:50He's got him in the middle of the ring, Rose.
16:51Nowhere to go.
16:54Michaels, he's gotta quit.
16:56Michaels has gotta give it up.
16:58What do you say?
16:59What do you say?
16:59There's not a human being alive that can withstand this much pressure,
17:04this much punishment in the center of the ring with a bigger four leg lock.
17:10Here we go, here we go.
17:12What do you say?
17:15Michaels is trying to turn to his stomach.
17:20What do you say?
17:21If he can get turned over, it'll take the pressure off of Shawn and put it on Bret.
17:28And there's a counter.
17:29There is a counter.
17:31And Bret Hart wisely and quickly goes to the ropes, which causes a break.
17:41That was all advantage brick.
17:45Michaels to his credit.
17:47Can you believe that the arrogant Shawn Michaels did not give up?
17:59What a right hand.
18:02Bret Hart laying in there.
18:05Catching Michaels right in the forehead.
18:07And Michaels lifts.
18:09He can barely stand.
18:12Upside down.
18:13Look out.
18:14Shawn Russian leg sweep.
18:16You know what's next.
18:18There's a cover.
18:19One, two, and.
18:20Can you believe Shawn Michaels again?
18:23My God, Michaels is showing a lot of guts here.
18:25He wouldn't give up on the figure four.
18:27He wouldn't stay down for the lateral press after the Russian leg sweep.
18:32And then the lower abdomen takes a pounding.
18:34Matter of time, Ross.
18:36He's being set up for the sharpshooter.
18:38You know it and I know it.
18:40No doubt that would be Bret Hart's crowning achievement.
18:43Are you kidding me?
18:44Make Shawn Michaels give up.
18:49That's all he wants to do.
18:51And Michaels again showing great tenacity.
18:54He's able to kick out so many of these 20,593 fans standing.
19:01Watching this matchup, there's a backbreaker.
19:03And Michaels again finds himself in one hell of a lot of trouble.
19:08He's resilient, but how resilient is he?
19:11How much of this abuse can he take?
19:13Get off!
19:13How long can he stand it?
19:14Get off!
19:15Oh, Michaels just pulled a referee right in front of the hitman.
19:19What about that?
19:22Michaels pulled referee Earl Hebner right in front of Bret Hart.
19:26And I think Hart and the referee hit him.
19:29Is that a disqualification?
19:31It might be if he could get up and call it.
19:37And again, Michaels raking the face.
19:47Look at this!
19:50You're kidding me.
19:51Michaels, are you gonna try to beat Bret Hart with a sharpshooter?
19:55Yes, he is!
19:57Are you kidding me?
20:03What?
20:05I think I'm cute.
20:08I know I'm sexy.
20:09I've got the looks.
20:11The drives are going while I've got the moves.
20:16What happened?
20:16That really moving.
20:18What happened?
20:19Bret Hart gave up on the sharpshooter.
20:21My heart is fine.
20:22I'm just a sexy boy.
20:26I'm not your boy, Troy.
20:29Shawn Michaels.
20:30I'm just a sexy boy.
20:34You talk about controversy.
20:38I'm making hot.
20:40This crowd is living.
20:42I'm making silver.
20:43Then is your week?
20:44Michaels with a sharpshooter has become the WWF champion.
20:49And Bret Hart is standing in disbelief.
