00:40It is a great pleasure to be here in Paris.
00:43And what an exciting time it is for Opel.
00:47First, we have successfully launched three new models last year.
00:52The Frontera, the Mocha and the Grandland.
00:57Together with our blockbusters Corsa and Astra, we have an outstanding offer for our customers.
01:04And the result is, Opel is growing.
01:08In the first half of the year, our passenger car sales in Europe were up by 12%.
01:16At the same time, we have spiced up our offer by bringing even more exciting electric performance to the road.
01:24The Mocha GSE and the Corsa GSE push the boundaries and deliver a thrilling driving experience.
01:32Sustainable, electric, and above all, fun.
01:38And today, we are presenting the next step in our GSE rollout.
01:42We are taking electric performance to the next level with our entry into Formula E.
01:50And at the same time, we are pushing forward by investing in our future.
01:56By 2030, we will invest over 1 billion euros in Germany.
02:01In our plants, our facilities, our cars.
02:06In short, in the Opel of tomorrow.
02:10And this includes our commitment to building the next generation Astra in Rüsselsheim.
02:16The future Astra is one of no less than four new models that we will launch by 2030.
02:22And with this, we will further expand our market coverage.
02:28Today, here in Paris, we give you a clear view of this future.

03:59So here it is, the Opel Sports Tourer Experimental Concept.
04:05Now, this concept celebrates our Sports Tourer history
04:10and reimagines this Opel favorite for the future.
04:14The design, including the new Opel visor, gives a clear view of what you can expect
04:20from next generation Opel cars.
04:22And with this, I will leave it to Mark to tell you more.
04:26Mark, over to you.
04:27Thanks Florian.
04:28So yes, this concept represents the next confident step forward
04:32in our bold and pure design language.
04:35So let me talk you through a few of the details.
04:38So the first and very obvious thing is the new front end
04:42that will be coming through in the future for Opel.
04:45And we start with this very distinctive vertical compass line here,
04:51which builds on our vehicles of today.
04:54But where we've got the black visor today, this visor creates the boundary shape
05:00with this illumination, this high-tech layers that really come in
05:06to give the breathing space to the emblem in the center.
05:10So we've got a very, very strong face.
05:14Then as you move around to the side of the car here, I always talk about structured,
05:20desirable surfacing.
05:21And you can see at the corner, we've got these very sheer surfaces at the beginning,
05:26almost machined, that then develop into these beautiful, voluptuous shapes.
05:31And we have these strong wheel arch blisters, which are always on Opels,
05:36really giving a great strong stance.
05:39This has a very flattened proportion to really press down on the road, expressing our dynamism.
05:46This is also contrasted by these very high-tech, sheer, almost machine-like surfaces in the lower.
05:53That gives us super contrast and makes it feel very German.
05:58Also, one of the things we've been working on to add distinctiveness and personality is creating
06:04very unique C-pillars.
06:06And here we have this very technical look to give a unique and strong personality.
06:13And obviously, one of the most distinctive things about this car is this new profile,
06:19a very new, fresh interpretation of where we could take the sports tourer.
06:25Here we have an almost teardrop-like shape that we've truncated off in a very sheer and bold way.
06:32Again, bold and pure.
06:34And this gives it a very crisp edge that helps with the aerodynamic efficiency,
06:40as well as maximising interior functionality.
06:44So again, German brand, form follows function.
06:48Then, as you move around to the rear of the car, we've really accentuated the aerodynamics even further.
06:56And we have these movable elements here that really give the dynamism to the rear of the car,
07:03adding efficiency as well as controlling the lift of the car, again giving the optimum performance.
07:10And finishing up here, the rear, we're still using the compass, but doing it and expressing it in a way
07:17that echoes the front visor.
07:20So, all in all, we're really going to take this design, and it represents an ambitious and exciting step forward
07:29for Opel Design.
07:30And now I'd like to hand over to Rebecca Reinermann to take you through another exciting part of our future.

07:55As Mark has just shown, the STX concept car is much more than a design study.
08:02It is a manifesto for where Opel is heading.
08:06It is built with German engineering, technological excellence, and a focus on precision.
08:15Because precision matters.
08:17It builds quality, it earns trust, and it drives performance.
08:23And performance is exactly what GSE stands for.
08:28GSE is the most thrilling expression of the Opel brand.
08:32engineering-driven performance with an emotional purpose.
08:39And we bring that spirit to life across three dimensions.
08:43Race, drive, and play.
08:47Race is really where GSE is born.
08:50Because in motorsport, every detail, decision, and millisecond matters.
08:58We pioneered electric motorsport and rally, and with great success, both on sporting performance and technology.
09:07Currently, our teams race with the new Mokka GSE rally car.
09:12And now, we take the next step into Formula E, with the car right here next to me.
09:21Formula E is the pinnacle of electric motorsport.
09:25With Gen 4, it takes a quantum leap.
09:29More than 800 horsepower, permanent all-wheel drive, 0 to 100 in 1.8 seconds.
09:37To compete right from the start, we have engaged a great driver line-up.
09:42They are all here today.
09:45Mitch Evans, Theo Pocher, and our development driver, Sophia Flosch.
10:03Three incredible drivers combining proven performance with exciting talent.
10:08Welcome to Opel, guys.
10:11So, drivers, team, and Opel in general, is ready to race.

10:18And you are welcome to join us as the season starts in December.
10:24At Opel, what we learn in competition must also translate to the road,
10:29which takes us to our expanded performance line-up, our drive dimension.
10:35The Mokka GSE brings our rally experience to the road and the thrilling customers across Europe.
10:42And the new Corsa GSE, just behind Florian and Mike, is our most powerful and exciting small car yet.
10:50With 280 horsepower, a motorsport tuned chassis, and a limited slip differential, it is a true hot hatch performer.
11:00And we don't stop here.
11:03Our new cross-model GSE line brings sporty attitude to even more customers.
11:09And here in Paris, for the first time, we are showing it with our new Astra GSE line.
11:18You see, Opel GSE on the road offers precision, control, and pure driving enjoyment.
11:26And that leads us to play.
11:29Because car culture no longer only happens on the road.
11:33It happens online, in communities, and in games.
11:39Last year, we put the Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo in the hands of millions of players.
11:45And today, we are bringing the Opel GSE spirit again into the hands of the community.
11:51The Opel GSE Formula E-car is in Trackmania.
11:56And here at the Paris Motor Show, at our booth, everybody can play themselves,
12:01or watch the professional tournament in the upcoming weekend.
12:06So that is GSE.
12:08Born in racing, engineered for the road, and experienced beyond it.
