00:00Welcome to the video from the Car Magazine Tuning Blog.
00:03Today, it's all about exciting news from Russell Scheim.
00:07The Opel Mokker GSE is coming as a production vehicle.
00:11Following its much-noticed appearance as an electric prototype at the e-rally event in the Netherlands,
00:16Opel has now confirmed that the particularly sporty GSE version of the Mocha will go into series production.
00:23The new high-performance variant benefits directly from the experience that Opel has gained in electric rallying,
00:29in particular with the Moa GSE Rally.
00:33Even during the development of the prototype, it was clear to Opel that this intense, direct and uncompromising driving experience
00:40should not only be reserved for professionals on release tracks, but should also be made accessible to regular customers.
00:46The result? The upcoming Mokker GSE for the road.
00:52Visually, the rally prototype immediately catches the eye with its motorsport foiling,
00:56eye-catching OMGGSE lettering, black bonnet, yellow brake calipers and numerous other accents.
01:04Technically, it impresses with a peak output of 280 horsepower and a torque of 345 newm,
01:10combined with sophisticated motorsport technology, as Opel emphasizes.
01:14According to Opel, the production version will also adopt numerous elements of the rally model.
01:23These include both the performance and the particularly direct handling and the precise feedback
01:28that should give the driver the feeling that the Mokker GSE is literally glued to the road.
01:32This is complemented by visual highlights in the rally look, which give the vehicle a sporty and distinctive appearance.
01:44The Mokker GSE is currently still on the road in a Phantom and is undergoing its final test drives before it is officially presented.
01:52Opel plans to publish further details and initial images in the near future.
01:56The larger context is also interesting.
02:01Opel announced back in April that the sporty GSE sub-brand will become fully electric, including a new brand logo.
02:08The abbreviation GSE, which originally stood for particularly sporty Opel models, was revived in 2022.
02:16Since then, it has stood for Grand Sport Electric.
02:18Following the introduction of dynamic electrified top models such as the Astra, the Astra Sports Tourer and the earlier Grandland generation with plug-in hybrid drive,
02:29the Mokker GSE now represents the next logical step towards fully electric performance.
