E-invoicing is not just about collecting taxes. It's about creating a fairer system.

A broader tax base means the burden is shared more evenly, instead of falling on the same group of taxpayers year after year.

By bringing previously unrecorded economic activity into the formal system, e-invoicing can strengthen government revenue, improve compliance, and support better public services.

If the early gains are already encouraging, the long-term impact could be transformative.

00:00E-invoicing, right now there's an increased threshold for exemption.
00:06I think it's become, unfortunately, a bit of a political tool by certain parties.
00:12But e-invoicing is so crucial, so important for us to be able to increase tax collections
00:18because ultimately it's about getting, otherwise it's the same suspects that are, you know,
00:23the usual suspects that are being taxes and more taxes that are in the system.
00:27I think data shows that we've had about 52,000 over additional taxpayers that have come on board
00:36which probably otherwise would not have, if not for e-invoicing.
00:39And that gave rise to additional collections of about 4 billion in the early stages of implementation.
00:45So you can imagine if it's fully implemented.
