00:00okay how do you highlight cells with value that goes below zero let's learn we'll start off by
00:06cleaning our existing conditional formatting here go to home style conditioning formatting
00:11i'm going to basically clear the entire worksheets conditional formatting now to apply the highlights
00:18basically you're going to highlight the cell that you want to apply the conditional formatting to
00:22after that you go to home style conditional formatting and you're going to say manage rules
00:26here this pop-up window should appear after that click on new rules in here you're going to select
00:32use formula and the first formula you're going to say equal we're basically going to use the n
00:37function we're going to say k5 which is our very first cell if it's greater than or equal to minus
00:44100 which is our cap and then the second argument which is the other extreme of the n function
00:49we're going to say k5 is less than or equal to zero so if it's within this percentage of numbers
00:56we're going to basically color it to red background and yellow text you know how to do that i'm going
01:02to say format make sure you're on a font tab here after that change the color of the font to
01:07yellow
01:08because yellow stands out on the red background and then you're going to say bold to make it more
01:13stronger and after that we're going to go to fill and select red to fill it with red click on
01:18okay and
01:20then after that okay one more time that will address anything that's below zero and all the negative
01:26numbers the next one we're going to be addressing is any numbers above zero we're going to say new
01:31rule use formula you're going to say equal k5 greater than zero like that and then if it's greater than
01:39zero go to format on the font basically we're going to say automatic which is black and regular font
01:47after that you can say okay and okay one more time and this is for any values that's above zero
01:53we don't
01:54want to color anything at all but in the event if you erase it or make it blank you're going
01:58to have
01:58to take care of that too you're going to say new rule use formula equal k5 if it's blank we're
02:06going
02:06to basically leave it as black text and white background going to go to format font make sure
02:13it's automatic as in black regular and okay and okay and okay one more time and there you have it
02:21that's how you highlight cells when the value goes below zero
