Discover how to highlight blank cells using fine and replace. This will answer a question how do I highlight cell rules for blank? We don't really need to use conditional formatting to highlight blank space. You can use fine and replace.

1) Select your dataset
2) Ctrl+H
3) In "Replace with", Format...
4) Fill tab
5) Yellow
6) OK
7) Replace All
8) Close

00:00In my past video I demonstrated how you can change the cell color using a go to
00:04special function here. Today I'm gonna show you another way using the find and
00:07replace. First you select your data set like this and then you press ctrl H to
00:11open find and replace window here. In here you're gonna go and select this
00:15format here and from here you're gonna go fill and then select the color that
00:19you want. I'm gonna choose yellow and click OK and then after that click on
00:22replace all. As you can see it has already made 12 changes. Click on OK and
00:27close and that's another way to highlight all the cells have blank.
