00:00Meanwhile, the Vikings will take on the Saints.
00:02Vikings are the surprise team in the National Football League this season.
00:05They're playing great on defense, good enough on offense to get it done.
00:08Kicked six field goals, I believe, last week, if I'm not mistaken, Joe.
00:12Saints really laid a big egg on Monday night.
00:14That was surprising to me to see that, especially with all the, you know,
00:19that went into, you know, honoring Steve Gleason and Hurricane Katrina
00:22and everything there.
00:23It didn't matter at all.
00:23Atlanta just took it to New Orleans here.
00:26We know the Vikings have that defense.
00:28But, Joe, do they have enough offense to win games in the NFL?
00:31I suppose it reminds me a little bit, honestly, maybe apples and oranges.
00:35It reminds me a lot of Indianapolis last year where we were watching Indy
00:38kind of saying, eh, like, they're good, but, like,
00:41I don't know if we necessarily believe in this.
00:44I mean, this would be a game that you would say, okay, you know,
00:47they could probably win this one, but kicking field goals
00:50is not going to lead to a lot of wins for them.
00:53No, it's not.
00:54And they're down somebody already.
00:55Jordan Addison's not going to play.
00:56Now, Jordan Jefferson with that ankle sprain is going to play.
00:59How healthy is, we don't know.
01:01And the Vikings also have a bye looming next week.
01:03So there was a lot of people that thought, well,
01:04maybe you just sit Jefferson too.
01:06But I think the Addison injury kind of pushed Jefferson back into this game.
01:09And we still can't get a full look of what this offense looks like.
01:13Now, I'm telling everyone everywhere.
01:14I told him last week on my fandom NFL shows on YouTube,
01:16and I'm telling him here on Sports Grid,
01:19stash Jordan Mason because the volume for Aaron Jones
01:22has been enormous over the last couple of weeks.
01:25And for a running back of his age, that's just not sustainable.
01:28Coming out of the bye, Jordan Mason should be returning
01:30and back at practice this week.
01:32And remember, it wasn't a knee injury or an ankle injury.
01:35It was a thumb issue.
01:36So, like, he's going to be fine.
01:38He's going to be back and healthy.
01:39And I expect the latter part of the season in that backfield
01:41to be a heavy dose of Jordan Mason.
01:43We still are not going to see the full complement of weapons altogether.
01:46For some reason, the Vikings just can't seem to get that.
01:49With Kyler Murray healthy, Jefferson healthy, Asin healthy,
01:51and Mason all healthy at the same time.
01:53Maybe we'll get that after the bye.
01:54We can only hope.
01:55But the most fascinating part of this game is
01:57no quarterback in the NFL has dropped back more this year
02:00to pass than Tyler Shuck.
02:01No team has blitzed at a higher rate than the Minnesota Vikings.
02:05So you're putting that quarterback in the pocket
02:08more than any other quarterback
02:10for basically on a silver platter for this defense to come get him.
02:14How that works out is going to be interesting.
02:16Now, Tyler Shuck's got to get rid of the football quickly.
02:18I imagine we're looking at Chris Olave over here
02:21because you have to rely heavily on Olave.
02:24You down the running backs, too.
02:25You don't have Travis HN,
02:27who maybe hasn't been healthy all year.
02:28I don't know what's going on there.
02:30But to me, the story of this game is
02:32that pass rush against a guy who drops back
02:35and throws more than any other quarterback in the NFL,
02:37there could be a lot of sacks in this game
02:38potentially for Shuck.
