Description

A 42-year-old man who never learned to swim finally faces his embarrassment and signs up for adult beginner swimming lessons.

Terrance has spent most of his life making excuses to stay out of the water. He claims he doesn’t like swimming, but the truth is that he never learned and feels too old to start.

When Oliver Orange discovers what’s really bothering his friend, he encourages Terrance to stop treating inexperience as something to be ashamed of.

With guidance from community-center swimming instructor Sonia Snap Pea, Terrance begins learning the basics.

From holding the pool edge and practicing breathing to struggling with floating, every small step challenges his confidence.

Then, several weeks later, Terrance accomplishes something he once thought impossible.

He swims.

But when the instructor suggests trying the deep end, Terrance still has his sense of humor!
