A radio host is found dead inside his studio while his voice is still broadcasting over the air. In CSI: Fruitiverse Episode 3: “Dead Air,” investigators discover that the supposedly live radio show may hold the key to an elaborate fake alibi.
Ronan Radish, host of Fruitopia After Dark, appears to have been alive during his 11:45 PM broadcast. But Dr. Celeste Plum determines Ronan died much earlier.
An angry audio engineer initially becomes the obvious suspect, until his access records clear him. Then Milo Fig discovers something hidden inside the broadcast audio: an identical sequence of sounds from an older recording.
The investigation leads to a prerecorded segment, station automation records, fabricated listener calls, and executive producer Sloane Scallion.
Someone made a dead man sound alive.
The recording remembered the truth.
