00:00Alabama-Georgia, what an unbelievable setup we have for this football game here.
00:05It feels big time.
00:06It's a one-and-a-half-point number really sparingly.
00:12We're out to two-and-a-half.
00:14You can get creative here.
00:18Everyone's desire is different.
00:22I played this game, Dave.
00:24I don't mean to get ahead of myself, but I'm very excited to talk about this.
00:29You know, I've done this with, like, an NFL game or two where at two-and-a-half now,
00:35we're close enough to get to three-and-a-half, pricey, no doubt,
00:40but I almost split the bet, 75-25, 75 on a plus three-and-a-half, 25 on the money
00:49line.
00:50Now, when people say, what do you like here, I'm not going to be like,
00:55oh, I'm plus three-and-a-half, and everyone's like, that's not the number.
00:58I think Georgia win this game.
01:00I think there is one specific difference this year versus the prior regular season meetings
01:07that give Georgia an edge, but I want to hear from you.
01:11What stood out when you broke down the Crimson Tide, hosting the Bulldogs in this spot?
01:17We can agree that these are two of the top offenses in the country,
01:21and the stats backed it up, and we have two of the best quarterbacks in the country
01:24in Gunnar Stockton and Keelan out there.
01:27So we have two of the best quarterbacks in Keelan Russell and Gunnar Stockton
01:32and two of the best offenses.
01:33What stood out to me, Kevin, is the defense.
01:36One team has one, and I think the other one doesn't.
01:39And I've bet on Alabama a lot this year and had to hold onto my seats because of their defense,
01:44but I've also taken the over in a lot of the games this year because of that defense.
01:48Pro Football Focus ranks Georgia third nationally in defensive EPA per play,
01:52making the Bulldogs one of the most efficient defenses in college football.
01:56They're seventh in total defense, 12th in scoring defense, third in rushing, and fourth in yards allowed.
02:02I understand the schedule hasn't been difficult.
02:04I'm not going to pretend that Georgia has played a gauntlet there.
02:07They've played absolutely nobody.
02:09They did play Oklahoma, and they did shut Oklahoma completely down.
02:13Now, Bama, who has played the tougher schedule, has not really stopped anybody.
02:17They're allowing 21 points per game, 51st in the nation, 39th in total defense.
02:23But what really stuck out, Kevin, pass defense, 105th in pass defense in the nation,
02:28allowing 234 yards per game, going up against one of the most efficient passers
02:34in the game in Gunnar Stockton, who's right there.
02:37He leads the country.
02:38Sorry, he's third in the country in passing efficiency.
02:41He's right there.
02:42So I think that's the difference in the game, and I know the game is in Tuscaloosa.
02:46I know Georgia hasn't won there since 2007.
02:49That's a no.
02:50It's there.
02:50It's a fact.
02:51Kirby hasn't won there.
02:53If you break down this game and you put them head to head, they both have good offenses.
02:57They both have good coaches.
02:58They both have good quarterbacks.
02:59One team has the top defense in the country, and the other does not.
03:02But to me, that's where it stands out.
03:04I think Gunnar Stockton can get to this defense just like everybody else has,
03:08and Georgia wins this game because they have the better defense,
03:11which ultimately matters here today.
03:14Yeah, I think it's kind of, you know, arguable, right?
03:17Even if Georgia would have played this Alabama schedule,
03:22I don't think their defensive numbers would look the way Bama's do.
03:26And, I mean, look, we've not talked too much Ashton Daniels, but like, you know,
03:30or Florida State, but he's a bit of an enigma.
03:33But the game that Daniels had against FSU was a big reason that last week
03:37I ended up overthinking it a little bit.
03:39I'll live with it.
03:40And taking the Mississippi State team total instead of just the full game over,
03:44which was an absolute smash for you, I know.
03:4756-23 last week, Alabama won on the road.
03:49The thing that I give Bama a lot of credit for this year is they kind of just keep coming,
03:55right?
03:56I don't think there's going to be a score in this game at half,
04:00really either direction, where you feel out of it.
04:04At least kind of that's my read on it.
04:07But when I talk about something being different this year than years prior,
04:11I like Kalen DeBoer.
04:13I think the...
04:17I understand that people are like, oh, he's replacing Saban.
04:23But, guys, Saban wasn't ripping off title after title.
04:26That's like a part of the reason he retired.
04:28Okay?
04:29Like, let's be real about that.
04:32I also, like, if you look around, nobody is Saban right now.
04:37The Big Ten, as a whole conference, are trying to pretend they're Saban.
04:43Like, a conference is like, we win every year,
04:45but it's just a different team every year.
04:48I mean, we got to the point now where they're like, look,
04:50Washington made the title game.
04:52It's like, guys, stop pretending that they were in the Big Ten
04:54and that you even care about Washington, please.
04:57But the...
04:58But I like DeBoer.
05:00And one of the things I like about DeBoer,
05:03I remember being really in on the Bama team his first year,
05:07he's always been great off a bye.
05:09Great.
05:10Like, almost untouchable, Dave.
05:13And in year number one, they were off a bye.
05:17Double-digit halftime lead against the Dogs.
05:20And last year, they were off a bye.
05:23Double-digit halftime lead against the Dogs.
05:27And the game's finished.
05:29You know, if you guys remember the crazy shootout with Milrow and Beck,
05:35George ended up grabbing an in-game lead.
05:38They ended up, you know, pulling the Ryan Williams touchdown.
05:41Last year, it was a rout.
05:42It ended up being kind of like a three-point game.
05:45They met in the SEC title game.
05:47No bye week.
05:48No bye.
05:49Georgia rolls.
05:50In the SEC title game.
05:50Go Now,
05:50we'll see you next time.
