00:24Shamsuddin Mamat said police received a report on the incident on Friday evening in a statement
00:29on Saturday, he said the suspect drove aggressively and dangerously, ramming into other vehicles
00:35before police apprehended him. The suspect was injured after being shot by police during
00:40the incident. The policeman involved had received treatment at a hospital while the suspect was
00:45receiving treatment at University Malaya Medical Centre. The case is being investigated under
00:50Section 186 of the Penal Code for Obstructing a Public Servant in the Discharge of Their Duties
00:56Police and Section 279 of the same code for rash or dangerous driving. An application
01:02for a remand order against the suspect is scheduled to be made at UMMC on Saturday.
