00:18believed to be driving a Mercedes-Benz at high speed and in a reckless manner with a
00:23BMW driven by another man aged 22. He said the incident happened at 1.15pm when the BMW lost
00:31control and hit four other vehicles on the opposite lane at kilometre 27 of Jalan Rengam Simpang Rengam.
00:39He said the BMW driver was killed after the car entered a ravine while four others, namely a couple
00:46and their two family members as well as another car driver also perished. The family members included
00:52a 73-year-old woman and a 10-year-old girl. Two passengers are receiving treatment for head
00:59injuries in the Enche-Bessar Hajja Khalsam Hospital's emergency ward while three others suffered leg,
01:06chest and face injuries. Police said urine test results found the 19-year-old suspect to be
01:12negative for drugs. They said they had seized the Mercedes-Benz and the case is being investigated
01:18under the Road Transport Act for reckless and dangerous driving that caused deaths and endangered road users.
