00:00Another Yankees season has come and gone.
00:02Sadly, it didn't end the way they expected it to or hoped for it to end.
00:06A very bad series against the Tampa Bay Rays.
00:09The small market Tampa Bay Rays really shut down the Yankees.
00:13A one-hitter in Game 1, Drew Rasmussen, Yankee killer, shut them down.
00:17Game 2 was an absolute debacle.
00:19Three errors in the first inning, four errors overall.
00:22Could have been more.
00:23Game 3, they came home, and they still did not hit.
00:25They had a total of five runs, 12 hits in that series.
00:29And that's just not going to get it done.
00:32You could chalk this up to they're just slumping at the wrong time or whatever.
00:36But, and I hate to do this.
00:38I really do, and I rarely do it.
00:40But I do think this is time for the Yankees to move on in terms of the manager.
00:44Aaron Boone, I think, is a good manager.
00:47I think he's a solid manager.
00:49I don't think he's as bad strategically as a lot of people make him out to be.
00:52He has a great rapport with the players, the staff, the ownership.
00:56Obviously, general manager Brian Cashman.
00:58I don't expect him to move on.
01:00I think he'll be back.
01:01He's got a year to go.
01:02We've got the lockout coming.
01:03Too many reasons for them to keep him and be a lot easier.
01:07But at this point, nine years, eight years in the postseason, only one year in the World Series.
01:14No World Series titles.
01:15I knew I grew up in the boss era in the 70s and 80s when only a title was accepted.
01:23We are a little more reasonable now.
01:24We accept not winning the title occasionally, but it feels like nine times in a row, I think
01:31it's time to move on.
01:32I don't think the Yankees will do this.
01:34There are reasons not to.
01:36They like him very much.
01:37But that's just my perspective.
