01:00If he was asked any question, he'd panic and freeze.
01:02Eric's mind would go blank and he'd shake at the knees.
01:07Relax, said the teacher.
01:09Don't give in to fear.
01:11Then things will come easy.
01:13Your mind will be clear.
01:16Eric tried to relax, but fell off his chair.
01:19And all the class laughed.
01:21They just didn't care.
01:25Poor Eric came home from school looking glum, but soon felt much better with a hug from his mom.
01:33She said, my poor baby, I know how it is.
01:37When you're feeling all shy and getting at his.
01:41Believe it or not, I was like you at school.
01:45My mind would clam up and I'd feel such a fool.
01:49Really? said Eric.
01:51But you're so cool and clever.
01:53You never get tongue-tied.
01:55Not ever.
01:55Not ever.
01:57You'll be like that soon, said mom to her son.
02:01Just believe in yourself, and your boldness will come.
02:07The next day at school, Eric did try to speak, but nothing came out.
02:13Just a strange little squeak.
02:16The teacher said, Eric, please try to be bold, or you'll still be at school when you're 80 years old.
02:27The next day his school held a big open day, when all of the children put on a display.
02:34The monkey recited a wonderful rhyme.
02:38The dog did a story in movement and mime.
02:41But poor Eric felt he just wanted to hide.
02:45So he went in the playground and just cried and cried.
02:51Then suddenly he stopped and started to sniff.
02:55A very strange smell.
02:57A burning type whiff.
03:00Eric turned around quickly.
03:02Oh my, what a sight.
03:04A great plume of smoke.
03:06The school bus was alight.
03:08Fire!
03:09bellowed Eric and trumpeted loud.
03:12And everyone rushed from the school in a crowd.
03:15They all stood and stared and gasped out in fright.
03:19As smoke poured from the bus.
03:21What a terrible sight.
03:23Oh no, cried the penguin with a horrified squawk.
03:27Without our school bus, we'll all have to walk.
03:31For once Eric didn't feel helpless and shy.
03:35Let me help, he said.
03:37At least, let me try.
03:41He filled up his trunk from a big pail of water and put out the fire with his massive great
03:48snorter.
03:50The smoke fizzled out and the school bus was saved thanks to the smart way that Eric behaved.
03:57They all cheered and clapped and raised him shoulder high.
04:01At that moment, his confidence shot to the sky.
04:06Eric's mom was so proud, she wept tears of joy.
04:10And she cheered the loudest, my brave, clever boy.
04:15So, from that day on, Eric spoke out in class.
04:20Cool, calm, and collected.
04:22He was bolder than brass.
04:25Now everyone says,
04:27Are Eric so cool?
04:29A quick-thinking hero, he's nobody's fool.
04:59He's nobody's fool.
05:00He's nobody's fool.
05:00He's nobody's fool.
05:00He's nobody's fool.
05:00He's nobody's fool.
05:00He's not fool.
