00:28I'll see you next time
00:37Peter the Peacock was terribly proud
00:41Of his lovely tail feathers
00:43Which stood out in a crowd
00:45But alas, this young peacock
00:48Was shallow and vain
00:50He loved only himself
00:52And he made that quite plain
00:54Peter loved to show off
00:57To strut and to preen
00:59In the places where folk go
01:01To see and be seen
01:03All dressed up in their best
01:05They'd go out for the night
01:06And dance at the disco
01:08Until it was light
01:11When Pete strutted in
01:13He revealed his fan tail
01:17All the girls swooned
01:19He just couldn't fail
01:22One peahen called Penny
01:24Dressed always in brown
01:26She couldn't afford the posh shops in town
01:30But though she dressed plainly
01:33Not flashy or smart
01:34Beneath her drab clothes
01:37Beat a warm, loving heart
01:40Poor Penny looked on
01:42For dance after dance
01:44Wishing that Peter
01:46Would spare her a glance
01:48But dancing till dawn
01:50Just isn't right
01:51It's bad for your feathers
01:54To shake them all night
01:56Soon Peter's tail
01:58Was peppered with holes
02:00By the end of the week
02:02All he had were ten poles
02:06Poor Peter panicked
02:07And let out a shout
02:09My feathers
02:11He cried
02:12They've all fallen out
02:15He quickly found glue
02:17In a really big pot
02:20And he stuck them back on
02:22Each in the right spot
02:25He went out that night
02:26But he wasn't in luck
02:28For after one dance
02:31He soon came unstuck
02:33When everyone saw
02:35They pointed and laughed
02:37What happened to you?
02:39You really look daft
02:41You're no longer handsome
02:43The great king of cool
02:45In fact, you look silly
02:47A featherless fool
02:50Peter fled home to hide
02:53His head hung in shame
02:55Until someone outside
02:57Called out his name
02:58It was Penny the peahen
03:01Concerned at his plight
03:02She said
03:03I just came to make sure
03:05You're all right
03:07Pete sobbed
03:08Don't come near
03:09I look really revolting
03:13Don't worry
03:15Said Penny
03:15You're probably molting
03:17I'm sure very soon
03:19You'll grow back every feather
03:21And then you will be
03:23Just as handsome as ever
03:26So for the next month
03:28Pete stayed cooped up inside
03:30With his faithful friend Penny
03:32Right by his side
03:35His feathers grew back
03:38Just like Penny said
03:40They looked even better
03:42Blue, yellow, and red
03:44Penny made for the door
03:46To let the hens know
03:47But Peter cried
03:49Stop!
03:50I can't let you go
03:52When I lost all my feathers
03:54I gained something new
03:56And I'd lose them again
03:59If I could swap them for you
04:01Though your dress doesn't glitter
04:04From neckline to hem
04:06You're a beautiful person
04:09A treasure
04:09A gem
04:12How silly I've been
04:14The vainest chap going
04:17It's what lies inside
04:19Makes a person worth knowing
04:23And because she had been
04:25Such a genuine friend
04:27Penny the Peahen
04:29Got her man in the end
04:59I'll see you next time
05:00I'll see you next time
