00:00To be continued...
00:39Simpson the Slug early each morning
00:43would wake to his clock as the new day was dawning.
00:47He'd slide from his bed
00:50and put his vest on.
00:52By the time he'd done this, the whole day was gone.
00:56So off went his vest.
01:00And back into bed went Simpson the Slug,
01:04not a word being said.
01:07Hugging his teddy, he started to snore.
01:10And would you believe it?
01:12It was morning once more.
01:16Simpson, you see, was ever so slow.
01:19A great slimy slug who hadn't much go.
01:24And there our story would have come to an end
01:27if it wasn't for Squeaky, Simpson's best friend.
01:32For Squeaky the Mouse had a plan in his head
01:35to help his dear friend move from his bed.
01:39He spent all the next day in a shed with more mice,
01:43building Simpson the Slug a go-faster device.
01:51They wheeled him outside.
01:54All the mice gave a hand.
01:55He'd soon be the fastest slug in the land.
01:58Simpson was ready.
02:00Speed was his goal.
02:01Then Squeaky pressed,
02:03Go!
02:03On his handheld control.
02:06There followed a bang!
02:07And a cloud of grey smoke.
02:10The mice all fell back and started to choke.
02:14As the dust settled,
02:15the scene became clear.
02:18There was nothing of Simpson
02:20except a small smear.
02:23Simpson the Slug was a thing of the past.
02:26They knew that the second they all heard the blast.
02:31Life wasn't the same for the mice after that.
02:35They were filled full of guilt
02:37for making Simpson go splat.
02:41A year slowly passed.
02:44Then, from up in the sky,
02:47a shooting star fell and landed nearby.
02:52The mice all arrived
02:54and saw on the ground
02:55Simpson's old rocket
02:57with a postcard tied round.
03:00It was written to Squeaky,
03:02who read it out loud
03:03to all of the mice,
03:05who'd formed quite a crowd.
03:06Greetings from Simpson.
03:09The postcard began,
03:11I've got a new life
03:13and a wife
03:15and a tan.
03:17Your rocket,
03:18it sent me shooting far into space.
03:25And I came to a world
03:27which is my kind of place.
03:30For everyone here
03:32is as slow as can be.
03:35They're sluggish
03:36and slimy
03:38and move just like me.
03:42In under a year,
03:43I got married in style.
03:46And six months of that
03:48was the walk up the aisle.
03:51So,
03:52I don't need a rocket
03:53to make me speedy like you,
03:56for I'm fine being me,
03:59the slug you all knew.
04:01We'll visit you one day,
04:03my new wife and I,
04:06but up until then,
04:08just look up to the sky.
04:11For the star to the left
04:13of the one to the right
04:17is the star where I twinkle
04:20each clear summer's night.
04:23It's a tiny green planet
04:26by the name of
04:27Glug Glug.
04:29It's my happy new home.
04:32Love,
04:34Simpson,
04:35the slug.
04:35Welcome to the
