00:53Investigations from October 4th to 8th led police to seize several items,
00:58including a 96cm metal rod wrapped in a necktie which investigators suspect was used to be Irene.
01:05Police also seized items including an iPhone, a denim jacket and a white and red sports shirt
01:12bearing the number 27 with suspected blood stains.
01:16Abdul Rahman said the post-mortem indicated blows to Irene's head, body and hands.
01:22Police also believed a struggle occurred after finding tables and chairs overturned and a broken flower pot at the scene.
01:30He added there were signs Irene had tried to defend herself.
01:33Police expect to refer the nearly completed investigation papers to the Johor Prosecution Director's Office today.
01:40The Batu Pahad Magistrate's Court today granted another six days' remand for the male student suspected of murdering Irene,
01:47who was his Form 4 classmate.
01:50Irene was found unconscious and covered in blood in the school hall at about 5.50pm on October 3rd,
01:57before she was pronounced dead.
01:58Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department Director M. Kumar confirmed Irene died from traumatic head injuries caused by a blunt object.
02:07The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for Murder.
