Thought Process has dominated the West Coast turf this year, most recently scoring in the ‘Win and You’re In’ GII Rodeo Drive Stakes on her way to the Breeders’ Cup. Bred by Brereton C. Jones, who passed away when she was a yearling, Thought Process is now owned by the Brereton C. Jones Estate in partnership with Little Red Feather Racing Stable and Madaket Stables. Her Breeders’ Cup bid will be her final start for those connections.

00:00Thought process. Look at her stride.
00:02She always fires. She always runs big.
00:04Teaching this field a lesson. Thought process all the way.
00:08She's just got that level of brilliance that's pretty rare.
00:14Actually, kind of an interesting story how we came by Thought Processes Dam, creative thinking.
00:19She was not raised at the farm here.
00:22She's a filly that we actually bought at public auction, which we don't do a lot of.
00:26We raced her. She was able to be a really impressive stakes winner.
00:31We had her with Tom Proctor, and she brought us a lot of fun days.
00:35And always thought she'd be a good match for Collected, and Thought Process was beautiful from the start.
00:40You know, didn't get sold at public auction. Maybe we were higher on her than the market was.
00:46Some of the greatest days Dad ever had in the business were horses that didn't meet their reserve at Keeneland
00:52that we decided to race.
00:54And that year was actually the year that Pop had passed away when we decided to keep Thought Process.
01:00Afterwards, we put together a partnership with our great friends Little Redfeather and Saul Koeman.
01:07And now for her to have gone on and become this just pretty amazing filly.
01:13There's no question Pop would have enjoyed every second with a filly like this.
01:19It's all thought process under Hector Berrios, rolling home in the game league.
01:25When she wins, she can be so totally dominant.
01:29You know, the race on Saturday night was like that.
01:32Because she looks so happy when she's out there on the front end.
01:35You can tell she's very comfortable.
01:36When you can be that comfortable and come home in 22 and change like she did the other day,
01:41it's going to take a world beater to beat you.
01:44The plan, as always, is to do whatever Phil D'Amato thinks we need to do.
01:48He has done just a remarkable job.
01:51And so whatever Phil tells us to do, if it's to come to the Breeders' Cup,
01:55which certainly seems to be, you know, all indicators or that is the plan,
02:00then that's what we'll do.
02:02The great thing about having the Breeders' Cup at Keeneland is that the whole team,
02:06the people that are really responsible for raising the filly,
02:09can come out and see her and we can root for her on our home track.
02:13That's about as cool as it gets.
02:15Creative thinking, she, again, acting like she could be a really, really special mare.
02:20To throw a horse-like thought process, she's still a fairly young mare.
02:24She's going to get every opportunity to do it again.
02:27The nerves of the Breeders' Cup, I mean, it doesn't get any more exciting.
02:31There's no other platform like this where the best horses in the world
02:35all come to compete against each other at the level that they do.
02:38It will consume our thoughts, our conversations around here
02:41for those weeks leading up to it.
02:43And you just hope everybody can get there happy and healthy
02:46and give you a chance to see where you actually belong.
