00:15I've known Tori and Jimbo for a long time, and we had partnered on a couple mares,
00:20but this mare came in the back ring, and I walked up and was looking at her in the back,
00:24and Tori's like, what are you doing? I said, what are you doing?
00:27She said, I'm buying this mare. I said, no, I'm buying this mare.
00:30It was a very quick partnership put together. She was carrying bacchio.
00:33He was born here at Scott Mallory's, and then he went down to Tori's as a weanling.
00:39With Tori and Jimbo being two-year-old consignors, that was always kind of the first plan.
00:44He always looked fast from start to finish, but he was very much a knucklehead, super immature mentally.
00:51All he wanted to do was play and go to the track. Definitely a red-headed dragon is what we
00:56called him.
00:56The day he breezed, there was a really bad headwind that day, and there was only two horses that went
01:02nine and four.
01:03But still, he's just like showing him, just super immature.
01:06When we didn't get him sold, I was like, really, I was kind of upset. I was mad.
01:11I think all the partners were upset that we couldn't get him sold.
01:14But, you know, Tori and Jimbo do such a great job, and I just didn't question it, because if it
01:20was supposed to be, it was supposed to be.
01:22And look where it's turned out.
01:24Bacchio is too good. Bacchio, your winner coming to the finish.
01:28And we still maintain part ownership of him, and so since that time, it's been like a fairy tale.
01:35I mean, we got to go to Royal Ascot, and Tori and Jimbo went to York.

01:44I mean, amazing.
01:45Wesley, before we even went over there, he's like, you're going to win at Royal Ascot.
01:49And I was like, this guy, he's crazy.
01:51This is a tough race for him to fly over there and win.
01:54And sure enough, he was right.
01:56I don't think we've seen the best of him yet.
01:57He's got all that speed, but it looks like he can carry it so well.
02:00So he gets out there, and then they make a little run at him, and it seems like he has
02:05another gear.
02:07Having been in the business for 40-plus years, this is my first grade one winner.
02:13So it's just, I can't, I'm so excited to share it with our good friends, Tori and Jimbo, and it
02:21takes a team.
02:22Wesley's team has done amazing with this horse.
02:24And Caitlin Dunn, who helped orchestrate getting them sold.
02:28He's our first grade one winner that we've actually bred.
02:32So he's just a very, very special horse to all of us.
02:36We've had some successful horses.
02:38We've bred some.
02:39Boy, this is the first Breeders' Cup.
02:41Looks like maybe the horse may be the favorite in the race or close to it.
02:44It was also a thrill to breed a horse that won at Ascot.
02:47So those two things are, it doesn't get much better than that.
02:50It's huge, especially because, you know, we're small breeders.
02:55We breed, I mean, well, I breed maybe five a year.

03:00And to have one in the Breeders' Cup is just, it's an amazing feeling.
03:06I cried in Royal Ascot.
03:07I cried in York.
03:09And if he wins a Breeders' Cup, I'll probably cry again.
