00:04The action right now in the national capital.
00:07Day 2 of the protest by Congress.
00:11This time once again a surprise pulled off by Congress leaders.
00:15What we've been given to understand right now,
00:17both Priyanka Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and other Congress leaders
00:21that tried to get to Jantar Mantar to protest after a lunch at Janpat
00:25have now been detained but weren't coming in.
00:30That NSUI workers have punctured the tyres off the bus
00:33on which Rahul Gandhi has been detained.
00:36So high drama on the streets of the national capital this evening.
00:40We're going to get you the ringside view of all developments.
00:42First up, allow me to take you through the headlines.

03:18All right, let's get you the latest news break that is coming in after detention of Rahu Gandhi.
03:23He was put in a different bus than Tuyanka Gandhi.
03:26The bus was being taken to the Satrashal Stadium.
03:29That's what we've been given to understand.
03:31But on the route, it seems that at a red light, NSUI students came and punctured the bus on which
03:41was Rahul Gandhi.
03:42Rahul Gandhi will now be taken into a new bus.
03:45The bus is stranded in the middle of the road.
03:48We're going to try and get in a larger understanding whether he has been moved to the new bus or
03:53not.
03:53But Rahul Gandhi spoke to the press minutes after the tires of the bus on which he was detained was
03:58punctured by his own party colleagues.
04:01This is what Rahul Gandhi had to say.
04:15We are going to bring them to justice.
04:19My guarantee that all four of them will be brought to justice.
04:25This is all panic reaction.
04:28This is all fear.
04:30They are going to be brought to justice.
04:32Mark my notes.
04:32They have attacked the most secure thing in this country.
04:36They have attacked the country.
04:38They have attacked the voice of the people.
04:40They are going to pay for this.
04:47Ever since the afternoon, as well as Shreya Kundu, who's been on the roads reporting on how this protest is
04:55turning out, a flash protest of sorts.
04:58Once again, the Congress, taking everyone by surprise, had called for an all-MP India Alliance lunch at Janpath Hotel.
05:07And from there, decided to go to Jantar Mantar to protest.
05:12Shivani Sharma, my colleague also joining me.
05:14I want to immediately cut across to Moshmi.
05:16Moshmi, Pirozha Road, Rahul Gandhi's bus, tires punctured on which he was detained by NSUI students.
05:23High drama on the streets.
05:24What's the latest?
05:31So, Preeti, I'm trying to chase Priyanka Gandhi's bus that is being taken, we are told, to Chhatrasal Stadium.
05:40We've just crossed over and tailing that bus, trying to chase it.
05:46But, you know, we've got reports about how Priyanka Gandhi, you know, just took to the streets.
05:52She was lying with a chain of all Congress workers and leaders, women leaders, where Rahul Gandhi is seen standing
06:01by while they, in an act of defense, stood on the ground, lay on the ground for a while.
06:09And on the other hand, both were ferried out at the same time, first Rahul Gandhi and then Priyanka Gandhi
06:16in different directions.
06:18And then the reports came that they were being taken to Chhatrasal Stadium.
06:22And on the way, Rahul Gandhi's bus, right there at the Pirozha Road, was punctured.
06:30Because when Rahul Gandhi was being ferried out, the entire Janpat Road, we saw lots of Congress workers running behind
06:38that bus.
06:38That's a mini bus on which Rahul Gandhi was taken.
06:42And that mini bus, we saw Congress workers running behind him.
06:47They took him towards the Cannot Place Circle.
06:51And then after that, they turned towards Firozha Road and Tolstoy Road and KG Mark.
06:57Somewhere midway, the bus was punctured.
07:00And that's the kind of, that is the scene that is unfolding.
07:05Second day on the run, the same scene about protests, detentions, a luncheon turning into a yatra, a slow yatra
07:14towards Jantar Mantar, culminating in a lot of detention.
07:18All right, Moshmi, Moshmi, okay, my colleague is tracking the bus on which is Priyanka Gandhi.
07:23Moshmi, I want to cut across to Piyush.
07:24Piyush is right now at Firozha Road, where drama, high drama unfolding, where NSUI students and Congress workers punctured the
07:33bus on which is Rahul Gandhi.
07:34Over to you, Piyush.
07:39Well, Priti, as of now, Delhi police has been successfully able to control the situation and a large number of
07:45NSUI workers have been detained.
07:48Rahul Gandhi's bus, which was punctured, the situation of that bus and the problem which was there has now been
07:53restored.
07:54Rahul Gandhi has now been taken from this area.
07:56But you can see the heavy deployment of police personnel on the road, traffic has been completely diverted a couple
08:03of minutes back.
08:04There was also, you know, heavy deployment of police in and around the entire area because Rahul Gandhi was staying
08:11put here for around an hour.
08:13Remember that he was taken from the roundabout of Jantar Mantar.
08:18He was detained, but after he was detained, he was taken here at this very mark, Tolstoy Mark, and his
08:24bus was punctured by NSUI workers.
08:26He was stopped.
08:27And while he was stopped, he started protesting here at Tolstoy Mark itself.
08:32But the update here is that the situation has now come under control.
08:36NSUI workers have been detained.
08:38The bus has been taken away from here in which Rahul Gandhi was here.
08:43And now he is on his way to Kingsway camp.
08:46Prenka Gandhi has also been taken to Kingsway camp, which is around more than one hour away from the central
08:53Delhi.
08:53All these things have been done to ensure that no traffic problems happen here in central Delhi.
09:01And to restore the line of the situation in central Delhi for the last more than three to four hours,
09:07you know, since India Block campus decided to go to Jantar Mantar, the entire central Delhi area was completely choked
09:16because of the traffic diversion
09:18and closure of routes connecting Jantar Mantar, Janpat, Lee Meridian and various other parts of central Delhi.
09:25Now what I am seeing is that the parliamentary forces are now being moved from here.
09:30And they are now being taken to Kingsway camp where Rahul Gandhi and other senior leaders of India Block and
09:38the Congress leaders those have now been taken.
09:41So slowly and gradually our traffic is also being restored.
09:44The routes are now being opened.
09:46Our parliamentary forces are only on the one side.
09:49I can now see movement of vehicles.
09:51But a couple of minutes back, this entire area was completely choked.
09:54All right, Piyush, stay on with us.
09:57Piyush, stay on with us.
09:58We're going to come right back to you.
09:59My colleague, Piyush, reporting from Feroz Shah Road where Rahul Gandhi was moved from one bus to the other.
10:04High drama, high drama.
10:06I want to cut across to the next news break that is coming in.
10:09Priyanka Gandhi, after dramatically being detained and those visuals speak for themselves, viewers,
10:15she lay on the ground flat right before detention, holding the constitution in her hand.
10:21Optics are peaking for the Congress party.
10:24And on the other hand, Priyanka Gandhi now charging the Delhi police of brutality and saying who ordered the police
10:32brutality.
10:32The government must uphold the constitution.
10:36The government is blocking our meet with the CAC.
10:40Must remove BJP to save the country.
10:42This is Priyanka Gandhi speaking shortly after her detention.
10:46Listen in.
10:47People are calling for the police complaint.
10:48You have to take them back on the police.
10:50Why do you have to take them back on the police?
10:52Why did you have to take them back on the police?
10:53How did you do that with the police?
10:57And the police boss made the violence which is what the violence used to do?
11:02What is happening here?
11:04Look, you are the police talking about the violence against Delhi.
11:14So the question is that this is the biggest people of the world.
11:21What is the people of the world?
11:22The people of the world mean what?
11:23The people of the world.
11:25There are some facts that are written in this society.
11:30The Delhi Police also work for this society.
11:34This government should work for this society.
11:37What are they doing?
11:38All principles, all the facts, all the facts.
11:46What are they doing today?
11:48What are the members of the people of the Lord and the Lord?
11:50We want to meet with the law.
11:53We want to meet them.
11:54We want to tell them what we think.
11:58What is the law?
11:59Let's quickly cut across because we are going to get you the latest reactions coming in from ground.
12:04Listen in.
12:07What are you doing today?
12:22I'm telling you that the police have not been hit.
12:27I'm going to recognize that there was an IPS officer.
12:33No, there was an IPS officer.
12:36But there was a fire on the ground.
12:39I think that there was a SP category.
12:41After that, they killed the madam.
12:44And they killed the madam.
12:47How did the bus go down?
12:49The bus went down, because they killed the people.
12:54And Rahul Ji got down.
12:56And Rahul Ji got down.
12:56And Rahul Ji got down.
12:57He got down.
12:58And you have got videos.
13:02But it was a very bad way.
13:05Nobody does that.
13:07Opposition is a leader.
13:08We've also seen the police.
13:10After that, there was a police police.
13:14But before, there was no police police.
13:18What are you asking?
13:19We are asking that Rahul Gandhi, if you want to get with Janesh Kumar,
13:25why don't you get to get with Janesh Kumar?
13:26What is the gun?
13:30What is his weapon?
13:40What is that gun?
13:45Are you participating?
13:48If your gun was driving, if all the employees did but they did so,
13:57which include Priyanka Gandhi as well.
14:00Something that was echoed by Raja Waring,
14:02where he says not just women police personnel,
14:05but men police personnel were involved in roughing up Priyanka Gandhi
14:09and other women MPs of the party,
14:12where he also mentioned the likes of Mahua Moitro.
14:14I want to quickly cut across to my colleague Shreya Kundu.
14:18Shreya Kundu has been reporting on ground through the course of the day.
14:21Shreya, give us a ringside view.
14:23What is it that you saw?
14:24Or did you, you know, in terms of the confrontation
14:27between the Congress leaders and the police,
14:30what ensued, what are you witnessing now?
14:37So, Preeti, one thing was very clear.
14:40The fact that Congress, while yes, they had come in for a luncheon meeting
14:45that was hosted and called by the Congress President Malikarjun Kharge himself,
14:51several MPs did actually come in.
14:53Quite a great show of strength we saw at Sagaratna.
14:57But in a little while, in a few hours,
14:59we could understand that this was not just going to be a luncheon,
15:03this was going to be an impromptu, a flash protest.
15:06Now, the minute the flash protest,
15:07the conversation and speculations around flash protest started,
15:10even before the leaders had left Sagaratna,
15:13we had seen that police personnel had started gathering around,
15:17and in numbers, that is.
15:19Now, throughout their journey,
15:21then they got on the bus,
15:23two buses with the NSUI protesters,
15:26one bus with all of the MPs,
15:28while they were on their way to one of the other entrances of Jantar Mantra,
15:33because the closest one from Sagaratna was already chocker block with personnel.
15:37So, there was no way they were getting entry there.
15:40So, they moved ahead to the end of the Janpath Road,
15:42around the roundabout,
15:43just to give you a bit of a context about the location,
15:46and that's where the second entrance towards the Jantar Mantra is.
15:48Even there, heavy barricading, heavy police presence.
15:51But, one thing is true,
15:54initially, the number of male to female police officers was much lower.
16:00The altercation that finally took place between Rahul Gandhi,
16:03Priyanka Gandhi on one side,
16:05and the police personnel.
16:07Priyanka Gandhi was very sure,
16:08by that time, several of their female protesters,
16:11they were members of the NSUI,
16:12there were other protesters as well,
16:14students who had also gathered at that given point,
16:17people who had gathered at that given point,
16:20a lot of them could be seen forming human chains,
16:23and still they were being picked up by the police,
16:24because the police was very sure they had not given permission for protest.
16:27And that's when Priyanka Gandhi,
16:29in that symbolic move,
16:31had actually laid down on the ground.
16:32Later on, she in fact claimed that the police had in fact manhandled her,
16:36she got scratches and all of that, yes,
16:37and then they got detained.
16:39But, yes, we did see heavy police presence,
16:42and one thing is clear,
16:43this time the Congress has made sure,
16:46that no matter what,
16:47they will protest,
16:48but they will lead the protest from the front,
16:51no matter which party joins them,
16:53and which one doesn't.
16:54And Rahul and Priyanka,
16:55both the days,
16:56both the episodes,
16:57that was very, very clear,
16:59on the very grounds itself.
17:01Fair point,
17:01because the Samajwadi party has said
17:03that they were not quite informed about the lunch.
17:05Shreya, thank you there for joining us,
17:06we're going to continue to come back to you,
17:08because, like I said,
17:09heavy drama,
17:10most of it still continues.
17:12We've been given to understand,
17:13Rahul Gandhi has been escorted now,
17:15to the Barakamba road police station,
17:18while Priyanka Gandhi,
17:20and other detainees of the Congress,
17:21and other political parties,
17:22of the India Alliance,
17:24excluding the Samajwadi party,
17:26have been driven to the Chhatrushal Stadium,
17:28Kingsway camp.
17:29Lots going on,
17:30I want to cut across to our guests,
17:32who have been very patiently waiting.
17:33Joining me right now,
17:34is TMC Lok Sabha MP,
17:37Shoghata Roy,
17:38Deepak Reddy,
17:39Gunapati National Spokesperson,
17:40TDP,
17:41Sanju Verma National Spokesperson,
17:43BJP,
17:44Adil Singh Boparoy,
17:45National Spokesperson,
17:46Congress and Advocate,
17:48Faizan Kidwai,
17:49Spokesperson,
17:49Samajwadi party,
17:50Dr. Shelley Oberoi,
17:51Spokesperson,
17:52Aam Admi party.
17:54I'd like to begin,
17:55with Mr. Shoghata Roy sir,
17:56two quick questions from you.
17:58The TMC today,
17:59was also a part of this protest,
18:01having said that,
18:02certain political parties,
18:03have stayed away,
18:03this time including the Samajwadi party,
18:05they say they were not invited.
18:12No, today was not a planned protest.
18:16Today,
18:18Mr. Malik Arjun Khargei,
18:20had called some congressmen,
18:22others,
18:23including our party,
18:25for a luncheon meeting.
18:27Then on the spot,
18:28they decided that there will be a flash protest.
18:31So the question of informing everybody or inviting everybody does not arise.
18:38When they started the flash protest towards Jantar Mantar,
18:46police acted heavy-handedly against them.
18:49First Rahul Gandhi was taken on board a bus,
18:56minibus.
18:58Then when he saw
19:01people being beaten up,
19:02he got down.
19:04And then some other people,
19:07they opened the
19:11tire,
19:12they defused the tire.
19:15They defused the tire.
19:16They defused the tire.
19:17Then some women protestors were protesting.
19:22Priyanka Gandhi was with them.
19:25When this police heavy-handedness started,
19:28Priyanka Gandhi lay down on the ground.
19:35Priyanka Gandhi was forcibly taken on board a bus.
19:42Now, Rahul Gandhi
19:45has been let off,
19:47but the other ladies and NSUI boys,
19:51they have been taken somewhere in North Delhi.
19:55Right.
19:56Derek O'Brien, who is our party MP,
19:58who was arrested told me that
20:01the police were,
20:03had gone berserk.
20:04They were entirely heavy-handed
20:08because nobody threw stones at them
20:12nor any other missiles.
20:14Why did the police have to
20:17take such
20:19high-handed action?
20:21I totally protest.
20:23This is another phase of the protest
20:26that is going on,
20:27demanding dismissal of
20:29Ganesh Kumar.
20:31And I
20:33am happy
20:35that this has created an impact.
20:37Even media has picked it up in a big way,
20:40especially Rahul and Priyanka.
20:42Our party, Mahuma Mahitra was
20:45also with Priyanka Gandhi.
20:47So, all this together
20:49has given an impetus to the movement
20:52against Ganesh Kumar.
20:58But, you know, Mr. Roy, I am going to ask you one quick question
21:00before I dip into news break.
21:01The BJP has now called this anarchy on the streets of the national capital.
21:06This is performative politics as per them.
21:09Optics.
21:15Who has said this?
21:20Who has said this?
21:21Who has said this?
21:21Who has said this?
21:21Let me quickly break the news and I will come right back to you on this.
21:24Sir, the BJP national president, Mr. Nitin Nabeen, has just called this anarchy on the streets of the national capital.
21:35He says the leader of opposition of this country is working with anti-social elements in an atmosphere of anarchy.
21:43I would like to tell the leader of opposition that the people about who he speaks of getting their rights,
21:49people of India, will never let such infiltrators be given rights.
21:55So, Mr. Roy, the BJP now labelling this protest as nothing short of anarchy on the national capital,
22:02where all this is only for political optics and performative politics.
22:10Nitin Nabeen is young and inexperienced.
22:15He does not want to know the definition of anarchy.
22:21Anarchy is not this.
22:25During the whole agitation today and yesterday, where any stones hurt,
22:32if such a movement had taken place in Calcutta,
22:37then 20 bombs would have been burst, nothing happened.
22:40It's all peaceful, all the leaders were in the front.
22:44And Nitin Nabeen has no idea of what real anarchy means.
22:52We do not believe in anarchy.
22:54We believe in protest and peaceful protest.
22:57And Satyagraha, Gandhi's mode.
23:00And this will continue in whatever form is possible.
23:09All right, Mr. Roy, thank you, sir, for taking the time out and joining us this evening.
23:13Thank you there.
23:13I want to cut across to our other guests.
23:16Sanju Verma, I want to pull you in.
23:18Your party has called what has happened on the streets of the national capital two days running now.
23:22Actually, not two days.
23:23The last five days, first it was the SFI, the NSUI, the Congress, and now the Congress and the India
23:29Alliance again as anarchy.
23:31The Congress is very clear.
23:33The India Alliance is very clear that this is Satyagraha, this is protest.
23:38And why aren't they being allowed and given the space today?
23:41Sanju Verma, Priyanka Gandhi has charged the Delhi police of using violence against her and other MPs of the India
23:50Alliance, women MPs.
23:53You know, Preeti, first and foremost, let me just rebut very quickly to Mr. Saugata Roy, who was there on
23:58your show.
23:59He said, oh, the Mamata Banerjee faction does not believe in anarchy.
24:03We only believe in peaceful protest.
24:05Mr. Saugata Roy, do you remember that barely a few months back before Mamata Banerjee was booted out,
24:11seven Supreme Court appointed judges were kidnapped and held in custodial, you know, were held in custody of the Mamata
24:22Banerjee government.
24:23They were basically kidnapped at Kalia Chak area of Malda.
24:26And the Supreme Court said, this is deplorable.
24:29It's a breakdown of law and order.
24:30We've never seen Supreme Court judges being held at gunpoint and then being confined to a room for nine long
24:37hours.
24:37This was what happened under the jungle raj of Mamata Banerjee.
24:41So, Saugata Roy, please do not give lectures to the BJP on ethics, morality and peaceful protest because you don't
24:47know the definition of P-E-A-C-E.
24:50Now, let me come to Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Badra.
24:53Of course, all of us are active on social media.
24:56And I repeat on your show, I completely condemn the deplorable attempts by Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Badra, NSUI and the
25:06other YouTuber Darbari gang,
25:09which is trying to delegitimize the Delhi police, delegitimize our men and women in Khakhi.
25:14I have seen so many videos on social media where Mahua Moitra is trying to bite the hand of a
25:21woman police officer.
25:22But I have seen videos and I'm sure millions of youngsters have seen it too,
25:26that while Priyanka Badra is doing drama by trying to stand up on the edge of a bus,
25:32the fact of the matter is that women in Khakhi are being hounded.
25:38Some of them are being beaten up.
25:40Their badges are being ripped apart from their uniforms.
25:43Some of them were chased.
25:45That is the condition of this anarchist, chaotic gang that is saying that we are only doing peaceful protests.
25:53That you try and run down the legal machinery, the police constabulary.
26:00And my final point, how many people have spoken up against the fact
26:04that a YouTuber called Nadeem Ahmed created an AI video
26:09and said that Vivek Bhagat, the ACP, was molesting a CJP worker and a journalist?
26:16Sharam nahi aati?
26:17Now he has been arrested by Delhi police
26:19because now it has been proved that it was an AI-generated video.
26:23And he said, nahi nahi, you have to CCTV ka video hai.
26:26Please show both sides of the story
26:27that Delhi police is being delegitimized by a bunch of ghouls.
26:31No, no, we are showing...
26:32Madam, we have shown both sides of the story.
26:39On our channel, we show both sides of the story.
26:41There might be a YouTuber who might be putting out AI-generated videos
26:44and that's incorrect and therefore action has been taken.
26:47But that doesn't take away from the allegations of an independent journalist
26:52who says that she was harassed.
26:53It is one word against the other and this needs to be investigated.
26:56Strangely, there is no FIR there as well, madam.
26:59But we are going to leave it at that.
27:00I am going to just bring in our other guests into this conversation.
27:03Adil Singh Bhoparoy, today what has happened
27:05and reined in on the streets of the national capital continues to do so.
27:09As per the Bharatiya Janata party is nothing but anarchy
27:12where your party is only involved in performative politics
27:16and all you are doing is trying to put out optics
27:21to milk the situation politically.
27:25Preeti, this is a struggle for justice and accountability.
27:31Yanesh Kumar has sullied the electoral process of this country
27:35and he has to resign, plain and simple.
27:40What is unfortunate is that Mr. Modi and Mr. Shah
27:44have deployed state power to shield an individual
27:48who has committed a fraud on the democracy of this country.
27:53I am not interested in indulging in a bout of water boutery
27:58with the BJP spokesperson.
28:00I am going to put out six points
28:01and I would urge the BJP to respond on pointers.
28:05Number one, the bugle has been sounded
28:08by two election commissioners.
28:11The Indian Express report till date has not been rebutted by the ECI.
28:17So it is not something which has been manufactured by the Congress party.
28:21This has come from within the ECI.
28:23Point number one.
28:24Point number two, the amendment to Form 6 is critical
28:29because this was a mysterious endeavor
28:32to deprive first-time voters of their right to vote.
28:35The Supreme Court has also observed
28:38that it did not approve any modification of Form number 6.
28:43Number three, two election commissioners are on record
28:47to say that Mr. Gyanesh Kumar was acting unilaterally
28:51in an unauthorized and an illegal manner.
28:55Number four, 16,000 appeals were filed in an unauthorized manner
29:01without the approval of the body of the ECI by Mr. Gyanesh Kumar.
29:06This is brazenly illegal.
29:08Number five, the powers of the electoral registration officer.
29:13This is the fulcrum on which the purity of the electoral roll stands.
29:17That power was abridged, taken away and handed over to one...
29:22I believe, Adil, I believe your time is up.
29:27Your two-minute time is up.
29:29You're going to come back to you.
29:29I want to cut across right now to the Samajwadi spokesperson,
29:33Faizan Kidwai, who's with us.
29:34Where does the Samajwadi party stand?
29:36The Congress is very clear that late last night,
29:39invitations went out to all India Alliance partners.
29:42Strangely, the lunch invitation did not reach the Samajwadi party, Mr. Faizan.
29:48Good evening, Preeti.
29:49Good evening to you and to the fellow panelists.
29:52See, Samajwadi party, the entire India bloc, we are standing together in this fight to save democracy
29:58and the legitimate right of the citizens.
30:00Yes, as Mr. Jairam Ramesh himself said that the event was decided much later by then.
30:07Akhleji had already returned to Lucknow.
30:10And we are doing our own Lok Tantra Bachao, World Bachao campaigns throughout Uttar Pradesh.
30:15And the citizens, it's no longer a movement of a political party, Preeti.
30:20Now, as you know, it's the citizens, the former CECs, ECs, retired judges, senior lawyers,
30:27people from civil societies, artists, intellectuals.
30:31And there's a former BJP MP also, Mr. R.K. Singh.
30:33They all are saying this, that this paid mercenary of Mr. Narendra Modi, his name is Gyanesh Kumar.
30:41He's flouting rules to help BJP electorally.
30:44And that's not going to happen.
30:46But let me respond, may I just, let me respond to the claims that were made by Bharti Janta
30:51Party spokesperson and the entire darbari ecosystem of Bharti Janta Party.
30:57They would want to believe that their narcissist supreme leader will always be a dictator,
31:03always rule the people.
31:05But no, that doesn't happen.
31:07Every dictator falls.
31:08Sooner or later, this is the start of the end game for Bharti Janta Party.
31:13And that's going to happen.
31:14And you are talking about Anarki.
31:16Do you remember what Anurag Thakur did when he led a mob of gundas to the residents of the
31:24then Prime Minister, Mr. Manmohan Singh, barricades were broken.
31:28Police officers were hurt.
31:29The stage which was constructed was also broken.
31:33And outside the house of the Honorable Prime Minister, then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh,
31:37Prime Minister Chorhe was written.
31:40When Commonwealth Games were going on, it was this BJP which was doing riots on the street,
31:45protesting while international media and sportsmen were in India.
31:50All right, sir, your time is up.
31:51I'm going to come back to you.
31:52There's a two-minute timer for all our panellists.
31:54I want to cut across to Mr. Ganapati of the TDP.
31:58I just also want to beam out visuals from the Barakamba Road police station where Rahu Gandhi
32:02has been taken.
32:03VD Satishan, Keralam Chief Minister.
32:05Alongside him is Mr. Bhupesh Bagel, Senior Congress Leader.
32:09Both of them standing there and outside Barakamba police station.
32:17I want to cut across right now to Mr. Gunapati.
32:20Mr. Gunapati, you're an ally of the NDA.
32:24Now, there's a fair amount of pressure coming in from the India Alliance, especially to BJP allies,
32:30where they say, look, the writing is on the wall.
32:33The CEC needs to step down.
32:34And the allies of the BJP must see reason.
32:40Preeti, thank you for giving me this opportunity to expose the members of the India ecosystem.
32:47Yesterday, the EC has clearly said that any of these members of the India ecosystem did not ask for an
32:54appointment.
32:55Today, they started their rally at 4 o'clock, very well knowing by the time they reached the EC,
33:00that EC would be shut.
33:01So, they have no seriousness to actually deal with the EC.
33:06So, the question what I have to ask is, when the matter is fending before the court, why are they
33:11doing this drama?
33:12And we can also clearly see the differences between the members of the India ecosystem,
33:17where some of the members say that they were not even informed about the program,
33:20and each member doesn't trust the other member to an extent where they have decided not to carry their own
33:26flags also.
33:26So, here the question I have to ask is, why is the police treating them with velvet gloves?
33:32Why is the police giving them such special treatment?
33:36And you can see, I mean, you can just see the visuals what you just played.
33:41Mr. Gunapati, I'll hold your counter, but the police is not giving special treatment.
33:45They are, they are. That is my feeling.
33:48The police is coming down quite with a heavy hand today.
33:51No, not at all, ma'am.
33:52I mean, this is not the way, I think they are being given special treatment,
33:55because when Rahul Gandhi was being taken into the vehicle, he was refusing to go.
34:00And you can see the number of the policemen keeping their hands, so that Rahul Gandhi doesn't get hurt.
34:07I mean, they are treating him with care like how they treat a baby.
34:10I mean, why the special treatment?
34:12I mean, these people are breaking the law.
34:14They are making our country look as if things are wrong in the international eyes,
34:19and where investment would not come in.
34:21You can see the level of desperation of the Congress party and the members of the India ecosystem.
34:27This is a desperate attempt to preserve themselves.
34:30All right, sir, I believe your two-minute timer is up.
34:33I want to bring in Shelley Obroy from the Ahmadami party,
34:36who till yesterday, your party, Ms. Obroy, had distanced itself from the India alliance,
34:42because it's not a part of the India alliance.
34:44Yet today, you are protesting somewhere in Kashmirigate with the left leaders.
34:48If there was an intent to protest, why not join this protest?
34:54Why hold a parallel protest somewhere?
34:56Is the visceral hatred with the Congress this much that you don't even want to ally on this cause?
35:04Thank you, Preeti.
35:05I think what is happening in the nation today is not about any one individual party or any one single
35:11citizen.
35:12What is happening is it is about the credibility of the institution that safeguards the protect the voters of the
35:18citizen.
35:19But I think it is the democracy and this constitution is at stake.
35:24And the constitution was not handed to us on a silver platter.
35:28It was built through struggle, through a lot of sacrifice.
35:32And today, when the democracy is at stake, what I feel is that all the parties should come together.
35:37And definitely, yes, Ahmadami party is raising its voice against the vote jury.
35:42And on the other hand, if you talk about the Congress, Congress is being political rapacious.
35:47Don't you think that?
35:48They are just trying to just reach their political space.
35:51They want to expand their political space at the cost of the other opposition party, larger party units.
35:57That is the woeful politics.
35:59Where were Congress at that time when the, at the Jantar Mantar, the first Jantar Mantar protest was held by
36:05the CJP.
36:06Why the Congress was absent that time?
36:08And yes, Ahmadami party will continue raising its voice.
36:12And now it has become a national issue.
36:14Because the democracy is all about transparency, accountability, and also protecting the rights of the voters.
36:20Because no institution is above accountability.
36:23No political party owns this people's vote.
36:27But now what I feel is Congress is trying to jump on the bandwagon when this issue has taken a
36:34political momentum.
36:35Why don't all come at the same platform?
36:38Why they all don't come on 10th of October and join CJP?
36:41Because I am, we are inviting everyone to come on 10th of October.
36:46Everybody should come on a single page.
36:48Everybody should come on a single platform.
36:50Okay.
36:50So that the larger democratic movement is not being fragmented.
36:53Because when the votes are deleted, if that's the case, why didn't you join the party tomorrow?
36:59The democracy is weakened.
37:00The voice of the voters is being created.
37:01If that's the case, you're saying everyone should come on a single platform.
37:04What stopped the Ahmadami party from joining in the protests yesterday?
37:07See, when there will be a mass protest, definitely the Ahmadami party will participate.
37:11See, we have already, Preeti, we have already said that we are not...
37:15Yes, all India lines were there.
37:16Okay, ma'am, your time is up.
37:18Your time is up.
37:19I want to give one minute to all our panelists.
37:22Sanju Verma, closing comments.
37:23Your time starts now, ma'am.
37:26So, first and foremost, Form 6 has not been altered.
37:30Adding a declaration or an annexure or an addendum is not changing Form 6.
37:35Let Darbaris learn the basic difference between modification and addition of a declaration,
37:41point number one.
37:42Point number two, has Gyanesh Kumar violated Article 324, 325 or 326 of the Constitution?
37:47No.
37:48Has Gyanesh Kumar violated RTA 1950?
37:51No.
37:52Has Gyanesh Kumar violated Registration of Electoral Rules 1960?
37:56No.
37:56And let me also say this.
37:58I have said this earlier on your show and I repeat.
38:01TN session had a dissent note from GVG Krishnamurti Hiskoli.
38:05VS Sampath had a dissent note from Naveen Chawla.
38:07Naveen Chawla had a dissent note from MS Gill.
38:10So, if there is a dissent note apparently against Gyanesh Kumar, why the big brouhaha?
38:15And Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Wadra, drama band kariyeh?
38:18Let Rahul Gandhi resign from Rai Bareilly.
38:19Let Priyanka Wadra resign from Wayanad.
38:22Let Achilleh Shadav resign from Kanaoj.
38:24Let Dimpali Adav resign from Mahinpuri.
38:26In the future, we will talk about democracy.
38:28All right, Mamiya, one minute time is over.
38:30I want to cut across to visuals coming in from Barakamba Road police station where I believe
38:34now two chief ministers of the Congress are there.
38:38You have VD Satishan and Mr. Rewanth Reddy, chief minister Telangana, chief minister Keralam
38:43right now at Barakamba Road.
38:46I want to give in one quick minute to the Congress spokesperson.
38:49Your time starts now, sir.
38:52Treeti, this is not about political parties.
38:54This is about the future of democracy in this country.
38:58Crores of Indians are illegally being disenfranchised.
39:02Point number one.
39:03Point number two.
39:04Look at the police brutality.
39:05Is this the way you treat your members of parliament and public representatives?
39:10Is democracy dead?
39:12Can we not yearn for accountability?
39:15Is it not a matter of fact that two election commissioners will prevail over one?
39:20Does Sanju Verma not know the math?
39:23If two election commissioners say that something is illegal, then that is illegal.
39:28Yanesh Kumar is not, he is merely first among equals.
39:33He cannot take decisions unilaterally.
39:34Number two.
39:36Number three.
39:37When you put an addendum or an additional declaration to a form, you are creating an additional qualification.
39:44When you create that additional qualification for a voter, you are changing the structure of the form.
39:50I think this is common sense 101.
39:55Okay, sir, your time is up.
39:58Okay, time is up.
39:58I want to quickly bring in the Samajwadi party.
40:00One minute.
40:01Time starts now, sir.
40:02Make your final comments.
40:03Okay, madam.
40:04Now, the problem with the darbaris of Arthi Janta party is that they want to mislead the citizens.
40:09They say that adding a declaration to form 6 doesn't amount to changing the form 6.
40:14This is exactly the kind of fakery we are here to expose.
40:18When there are clear guidelines, there's a section 28 of Representation of People's Act,
40:23which says any changes, any declaration can only be inserted, only and only by the government.
40:28If there's a unanimity, even amongst all the commissioners, this is not permissible.
40:34This will become illegal.
40:35So, whatever happened in form 6, the changes, it's illegal.
40:39And upon that, the election commission was lying that the Honorable Supreme Court upheld these changes.
40:45And the Honorable Supreme Court gave a tight slap to Gyanesh Kumar and exposed this fakery and the lies that
40:51was being promoted by the election commission.
40:53So, Gyanesh Kumar is a liar and BJP Darbari ecosystem, you should shut up and apologize and kick out the
41:01Gyanesh Kumar from the system.
41:03Else, the citizens of India will do that.
41:05Sir, your time is up, Mr. Kidwai.
41:07Your time is up.
41:08Okay, Mr. Kidwai, thank you there.
41:10Final comments, Mr. Gunapati.
41:12One minute, sir.
41:14Ma'am, it's absolutely clear that the members of the India ecosystem don't trust each other.
41:18And this melodrama has exposed them to an extent where nobody is going to take them seriously politically anymore.
41:24And what I would like to point out is, this is all part of a good old pattern.
41:29First, they level allegations, then they attack the institution, then they do a dharna, then they go to the court,
41:35and then they do street violence.
41:37This is all part of a pattern and a degree of desperation to protect themselves from their failing political careers.
41:45And a lot of them there are all politically unemployed, and they're just doing all these dramas to keep their
41:52political lives going and doing bad to the nation, in my opinion.
41:59Ma'am, I believe your time, sir, I believe Mr. Gunapati, your time is up.
42:03Ms. Obray, last one minute.
42:06So, unfortunate to see that the Bharatiya Jandrata Party and its national spokesperson on the national TV is saving the
42:12anti-national Gyanesh Kumar.
42:14When the Supreme Court has already stated that no approval was given to make any kind of changes in the
42:19form 6, the wrongdoing has already been proven by the court.
42:24Then also they are saving the Gyanesh Kumar.
42:26Why they are letting not to fall the chips where they may be?
42:31Why they are saving Gyanesh Kumar when the voters are being cheated?
42:36It is about the fight between the voters versus the erosion of the trust on the electoral system.
42:43Why the Bharatiya Jandrata Party is saving the election commission?
42:46This is showing how they both are, they have joined the hands to just rule the nation through cheating, through
42:53vote chhori.
42:55Okay.
42:57All right, ma'am.
42:58Thank you there for joining us.
42:59I thank all our panelists for taking the time out this evening.
43:02Appreciate it.
43:03Dipping into news break.
43:05Right outside Barakamba Road Police Station, both Keralam Chief Minister, full show of strength by the Congress viewers.
43:11Keralam Police, at the Keralam Chief Minister, alongside with him is the Phelangana Chief Minister.
43:18Vidi Satishan and Raywant Reddy mounting pressure from the Congress.
43:22Listen in to Mr. Raywant Reddy.
43:26So I have to, we are going in.
43:28Then I'll come back and I'll, we are doing this issue.
43:31The vegetation of Congress party will continue from here on.
43:34We are going in.
43:34The party has to take a decision.
43:36So once I speak to my leader, then I'll come back and I'll.
43:42All right, viewers, full show of strength, high drama, where the Congress is concerned and they have brought out the
43:49big guns.
43:50Both Chief Ministers of the Congress from Keralam and Phelangana at the Barakamba Road Police Station, where Rahul Gandhi has
43:56been taken in detention.
43:58With that, it's a wrap on this edition of To The Point.
