00:00It's a exhibit that shows the different and different generations of graduating interior design students.
00:09Let's all watch this.
00:12Every year in our collection, it's certainly a piece of paper.
00:19It's a concept behind What the Pop,
00:22isang exhibit ng mga graduating interior design student na nagbibigay ng bagong approach sa mga elementong bahagi ng pop culture.
00:33What the Pop is actually the brainchild of our batch advisor, IDR Nikki Hardenil.
00:40He thought it would be nice that we present Philippine pop culture specifically in setting of being at home or
00:47spaces in a home.
00:48With that team, we were given subcategories and we were given generations.
00:53So we have baby boomers, we have Gen X, Gen Y, and then Gen Z.
00:58Each booth had their own and then we had to do a lot of research, especially because we didn't want
01:04to make a mistake with the generations.
01:06For example, I'm not Gen Z, so we had to do a lot of research on Gen Z, especially for
01:12the boomers.
01:13None of us here were born during that era or grew up in that era, so it required a lot
01:18of research also.
01:21Sa bawat booth, maibat-ibang story at design concept na nagpapakita kung paano nakaka-apekto sa atin ang influences ng
01:29iba't-ibang panahon.
01:30We want it to be an immersive and interactive space for our visitors wherein they can see the prominent artifacts
01:41of the 1940s to 1960s such as the balusters, the bulol figurines, the capis windows, the solihia, and integrate it
01:52with one of our sub-themes which is the technologies.
01:57We want them to see the different vintage technologies that our mga siguro lolos or lolas used during that time
02:07and see the space in a nostalgic but still contemporary way.
02:14We wanted the visitors to experience what it feels like to be in the 1940s to 1960s.
02:22We also incorporate not only the Filipino but the innovative side of it. As overall, it's not only from the
02:29past but also for the future.
