00:00Reaction to an appeals court ruling on Minnesota's AI deepfake ban after a challenge from Elon Musk's company, XAI.
00:09Minnesota State DFL Senator Erin May Quaid.
00:12I mean, it's absolutely devastating. The Eighth Circuit, with no explanation, there's no reasoning, they gave no explanation as to
00:20why they do this.
00:20They just gave the predators their favorite tool back to create child sexual abuse material and engage in image-based
00:28sexual violence,
00:28primarily against women.
00:30Governor Walz signed that bill into law in May. The law criminalizes unauthorized AI-generated pornography.
00:37To specifically give, you know, Elon Musk, the richest man in the world, who has built his company's business model
00:45around making money off of creation of child sexual abuse material and image-based sexual violence.
00:51Like, I just, and for what, right? Like, Minnesota was the safest state to be a child in public, to
00:57be a person out in public.
00:58until the Eighth Circuit ruled here. And, you know, I'm glad that Attorney General Allison is going to continue to
01:05fight this case.
